When Ann hits that note after the solo, it gets me just like it gets Robert and I start crying everytime I listen. What Anne did at 62 years old was a Masters Class in singing live. If you don't feel this, you're DEAD inside..
Maybe the greatest cover of all time. And good lord how much pressure was on the Wilson sisters to come out and do that in front of THAT crowd. If I'm honest, Ann's power is overwhelming. The kiss she blew Led Zeppelin at the end was almost like saying, I'm gangsta too boys.
In the Heart video "Alone", I feel like that Nancy's guitar playing is equal to Jimmy Page. It would be awesome to see Jimmy and Nancy do a guitar duet. I am sure we would not be disappointed.
Johns son, Jason Bonham, was on the drums for his dad!! The bowler hats they were wearing was in honor of John because he often wore them . It was very emotional to see LZ there watching on, and Robert getting a little teary eyed ripped my heart out because he and John were so close💙 This will never get old!!🎶🎸🎵🎸
John Bonham, Lepp's great drummer, died very early in his career and in this tribute his son, Jason, is on drums in his dad's iconic Bowler hat. The choir wearing bowlers, to ME, depicted his dad watching his son payin' a stunning tribute to him (and his Zepp-mates). The heart-thumps from Jason to his dad (er ... and his Zepp-mates) always brings a bit o' mist to these old eyes. PS ... really happy that ya enjoyed this.
Ann Wilson has the best female voice ever! Nancy Wilson is a master guitarist. The drummer is Jason BONHAM, John Bonham’s son. I believe that touched Led Zeppelin the most.Robert Plant was in tears.
Nothing to add but this: let's get some love for the lead guitarist. "Hey, we've got a gig for you. We want you to play the guitar solo in "Stairway to Heaven," at a command performance in front of the surviving members of Led Zeppelin. Oh, and by the way, the president and first lady will be there too. No pressure." 😳
Or Nancy having to play with no accompanying instruments at the beginning. So hard to do, just guitar solo and nothing else. If you F up everybody will know.

Jason was not only wearing his dad's hat, and he was also playing his dad's drums. His dad started teaching Jason to play the drums at very young age. Ann and Nancy Wilson have been every good friends since the 60s. RIP John aka Bonzo Bonham. You are still very missed. XOXO Brandi Modrak XOXO means hugs and Kisses to you and your family.

They couldn't have had a more perfect drummer, Jason did his father proud!! The entire performance was top notch, they even made Robert Plant tear up. Great reaction to a great song by superstar performers.
Maybe it's because I'm so old, but I tear up every time I see this video. I've heard Heart playing Led Zeppelin live for 45 years, including Stairway, but this one is just that special.
@@tazjammer, lucky you! I'm not that old, 54. Wish I could have been born about 15 years earlier so I could have seen all my favorite bands as they were growing. Pink Floyd came around in 67 when I was born, and I would have loved to see a couple of Syd shows.

Best cover I've ever heard. Can't tell you how many times I've listened to it. So glad you did this song! The hat is a tribute to their late drummer John Bonham.
The hat was the same type that John Bonham used to wear. It was a tribute to Bonzo. The band disband after John’s death and seeing his son on the drums and the hats he and the choir wore really touched the surviving band members.

The bowler hats were worn as a tribute to John Bonham (former drummer of LZ) (RIP 1980) that’s actually his son playing in this performance and when they come out wearing them, Robert Plant got very emotional….beautiful tribute
Heart covers of LZ are always amazing! They did Black Dog and Rock and Roll a lot and the young Ann Wilson singing Rock n Roll is the best version of the song you can get!

I'm so glad you enjoyed this! We all knew you would, but it's still a joy to watch someone fall in love for the first time. So, the bowler hat was a tribute to Bonzo, who regularly wore one when he performed. His son, Jason, was the drummer for this performance. That had to be a huge part of the band's reaction, watching essentially the ghost of their late friend, all grown up. When this round of Honors was announced, everyone knew this song had to be played, but nobody knew who could possibly play it. Even the Honorees don't know who will perform their music until the performance starts. But, as soon as you saw them take the stage, you knew it couldn't be anyone else. One of the most interesting layers of this one for me is knowing Plant's complicated relationship with the song. He wrote it, but he's always felt that it shouldn't have been as popular as it was, and he felt that he had somehow doomed the band to be associated with an inferior song. It also took him quite a while to come to grips with the band's influence on music in general. But, when you watch this performance, you can see how every single person in the room felt the same thing at the same time, and how everyone held their breath at once. For me, Robert sees it, too, and you can see the peace and understanding roll over his face, and that made me smile.
That’s John Bonham’s son Jason on drums. John Bonham is Led Zeppelin’s drummer who passed away in 1980. The bowler hat was a trademark of John’s. He wore it often onstage. That’s why his son is wearing it and so is the choir. It’s to include him in this honor and pay tribute to him. Very emotional for everyone because he’s not there.
Dude, I love your reactions…and to think they put 150 people playing and singing, the live version from 1975 is just 4 of them… Class performance and o get tears watching it! As I’m a drummer watching John Bonham’s son playing adds that spice…❤

For me, Robert sees it, too, and you can see the peace and understanding roll over his face, and that made me smile.
Omg my tears are falling like the rain. ❤
One of the most moving and amazing tributes ever! I cry and get chills every single time. The end is just beyond words.
LFR FAMILY NO ONE ELSE COULD HAVE FID THIS DONG ANY BETTER THAN HEART JUST DID!!! BESUTUFUL
0,00000000000000000001 percent of people in the world dont undersand this. Feelings indescribable.
No matter how many times I hear & see this performance, I get goosebumps just like the first time 😊 EPIC!!
you sure hit the nail on the head with that, It does show how real these artists are and aren't...
I got so much joy watching you watch this performance. ❤
a Buncha legends Amazing a great tribute to them and his dad (bowler n drumkit)
My goosebumps have goosebumps!
If i had witnessed that performance, i would die a very happy woman. Ive loved LZ since i was 10 im now 45.
The best tribute I've ever witnessed
It was awesome. I remember watching it
That’s John Bonham’s son Jason on drums.
Ann’s voice is pure magic! This makes me cry… I love Zep and Heart!
The best cover I've ever heard!!! Yasss!!!
Beeing from Seattle, I had the pleasure to see them a few times live. From 30,000 in the Colosseum to 150 in a bar.
It's never better than Led Zep but it's cool. The fact that it made Robert tearful and the rest of the lads into it is wonderful.
That was great man. Thank you. I was giggling like you were. That was fun.
Dude, I love your reactions…and to think they put 150 people playing and singing, the live version from 1975 is just 4 of them…
Class performance and o get tears watching it!
As I’m a drummer watching John Bonham’s son playing adds that spice…❤
i love heart
i love led zeppelin
Have you watched entire Zep tribute, BEST BAND EVER! President Obama rocking out to Whole Lotta Luv...fantastic. BTW, look how many guitars they're using to duplicate Jimmy's sound. What a band.
