First guy John went from 110k to 100k broke daily limit. Second guy Tom went from 100k to 94k broke daily limit. How did he get to trade on Friday? When would the 92.5k floor ever come into play?

Hey Good day , I have a question concerning the DD ( if on a new day you start your account with 100,000$ grow it 108,000 equity and end up with it 100,000 for the day , does that mean you violated the DD rule

Can you say something about their scaling rules? I cannot find the sepcific conditions on their website. Their faqs are vague and say "if you meet our conditions" but no details. Hope you can help out here.
I read on their website that they will increase to 25% within 4 months if u r consistently profitable.

Drawdown rule that include equity is really bad for us traders..these prop firms should stop with this equity drawndown based on equity
In daily drawdown of 1,00,000 account is 4% which is 4,000. So in Day 1 I took a loss of 2,000 and account balance is 98,000 and remaining daily loss is set to 96,000 and 2,000 is remaining loss limit for Day 1 right and I wait for next day 5pm then the daily loss for remaining 98,000 which is 4% resets everyday 5pm would be 94,000? Please answer my question

Ik right if I make profit in a day my drawdown should be my 5% plus my profits then the next day it goes back to 5% until you make profit
But SPT max dd is just 7.5% while MFF max dd is 12%???

Hello Eshan. Let's assume I've made a loss of $2000 on a $100000 account. Since my daily drawdown is 96000, I have not breached the DD rule. However, on a brand new trading day, will my DD be 96000, or 94000......I asked because it's calculated on my Balance. Since my balance would be $98000 after loosing $2000, will the DD on a new day be 94000??

They should eliminate or increase the daily drawdown %. If you're up 30% on your account, there's very little incentive or leeway to trade more aggressively even if you have a large $ cushion - if your account can only decrease a fixed amount during the day. It's very restrictive for good traders. It should at least increase by the same percentage as your account increases.
They did this stupid equity rule on daily to fail traders(remember these firms make profit from fees as well). That why when I hear any Dd base on equity it is a big No for me.and this also reward constant sitting in the front of computer so you are more likely to overtrade- and this is money from fees for broker. when I see eightcap as a prop broker I tend to skip- because I yet to seen any good trading firm using at without strange rules.
Exactly because its 4% fixed...on any amount you have.The only thing is the Overall will be fixed at..but i've been caught out twice now on the daily drawdown rule!

Scenario 1 Is incorrect im afraid, if the MAXIMUM drawdown on your account is FIXED 7.5% it stays FIXED BASED ON your initial CLOSING balance, so if Johns balance is $110,000 at CLOSING then next week he goes down to $100,000 he HAS VIOLATED the MAXIMUM DRAWDOWN because 7.5% of $110,000 is $8,250. Johns account can only go down to $101,750. Thats his fixed MAXIMUM DRAWDOWN NOW because his closing balance is $110,000

U guys are not being straight forward ur drawdown are both on equity and capital Base
Your last example is incorrect, It's 4000$ loss in a single day whether applied on balance or Equity. So If it's applied on 100,000$ with the equity of 98000$
your challenge will be breached at 94,000$ not at 96,000$ !!!
Balance and equity which ever is higher. In this case, trade is in loss, so Equity = Balance - loss.
98000 = 100000 - 2000. Balance is greater than equity so the percentage rule will apply on Balance.
similarly, for profits the percentage rule will apply on Equity as equity will always be higher than balance in a running profitable trade ( Equity = Balance + Profits). Only at trade close the equity is equal to balance.
