  • Promising to be a force for good and to restore trust in politics - Sir Keir Starmer has hit the ground running on his first day in office naming his new Cabinet - and declaring that the work of change would begin immediately.
    (Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
With just one seat left to declare, Labour can boast a majority of 176 MPs. While the Conservatives are down to a third of their previous total. It was a record night for the Liberal Democrats, as they become the third largest party in Westminster. While the SNP suffered huge losses.

And I don't just mean the 5% of the population who voted Labour because they actually agreed with their policies ( amazingly, as the Toolmaker's son kept them very vague and obscured during the 'campaign'. Internal unrest - within weeks, guaranteed - the left is always eating itself. Donor dissatisfaction - especially the big corporations - Sir Davos won't be able to please them all and the banks, with the perilous financial chasm opening up ahead. Ideological infighting - square the gender, identity, alphabet folk demands with those of the religiin of peace. Good luck with that.
Sir Davos is in hock to so many competing interests, it will tear his tiny mandate apart in months. It would be entertaining if it were not so tragic and destructive to this country. But the only way out is through. Watch as the cracks appear.
