These videos are super helpful for someone like me and my friends i.e. for someone playing fighting games the first time in their life. I appreciate you making these ( helped me get to plat4 easily after only playing for a month). Now that I've learned many of these concepts I find your explanation is super good. So rather than only explaining these concepts myself I force my friends to watch them. Thank you for helping make the FGC more accessible.
This is one of the reasons we are in the golden age of fighting games. Not only do we have so man great games, but the amount learning ressources is insane and you can clearly see it in the level of play going up in ranked.
You keep getting better at this, even from the production point of view. Keep it up, it's super helpful: you are able to explain these topics with *just* the right amount of depth - and that's not easy at all
sound mixing in this was a bit wonky, background music could be turned a bit because its washing out some of your exolanation. regardless, this stuff is gold, looking fieward to more
Delightful video style, I will be seeing this. I'll come back after finishing the video. There are some common pitfalls video like this can hit. 5:22 subtle bit. Very good
Hey Farar, loving this series. I do want to say I struggle a lot against players that appropriately use your secret to defense, as I end up losing my patience in disbelief that they are blocking everything and teching all throws. Is my assessment correct in that I should slow down and play more reactively to perform better in this scenarios?
I think the mentality is that it’s more belligerent than strong. SF4 has its degenerate offense, but it’s usually through multiple interactions that eventually snowball. SF6 requires meter to get more aggressive, but the amount of reward on successful engagements during the 50/50 is excessive and sudden. Which, part of me loves, because things have a snappy flow from one match to the next. The other part, feels damage needs to be lower across the board for more moment to moment decisions makings.
@@fararjeh It's universal, far less risky and outright safe when the opponent's in burnout, I thought that'd be enough to warrant discussion but it seems this mechanic will continue to be disrespected 😮💨
It’s just as risky as a regular reversal, -6 on block against a player that knows their punishes will hurt real bad, and granted it’s safe in burnout, but for this video is wins/loses to the same things a regular reversal does. But trust go watch my replays don’t nobody be using it more than me 😂
@@fararjeh Nah, I'm not saying it's riskless, but DPs wish they were ONLY -6. Some reversal supers are so minus characters like Ryu/Aki/Juri can get resources and still have enough time for a proper punish. Some characters can only punish Drive reversals with lights
I defo agree drive reversals against some characters are pretty good, but at a high level a punish is a punish, and since I didn’t really wanna dive too much into specifics with any part of the guide, I didn’t bother with drive reversals
all of this is like saying "defensive option against headshots in shooters is to not get shot in the head". Yeah, no s***. But at the end of the day, 90% of all interactions in sf6 are guesses.
Defense not defence (also 1:32 offense instead of offence). I liked video editing and thought it was done super well, but the spelling errors make it hard to read whats on screen and take it seriously.
How far does your head have to be up your own ass to not comprehend that the US isn’t the only country in the world and other countries with other spellings exist
Close enough welcome back Core-A gaming
😭😭😭

The frame 1 comment is crazy thank you brother 🙏🙏
Please keep going. I’m on the road to master and I needed this. It taught me that I’m overthinking a lot!
Overthinking is a weapon, if you can learn to not cut yourself it’ll wipe the floor with people, speaking from someone who overthinks a lot 😭
We reaching Legend with this one guys
Great Video , I'm so glad that we live in an age where there is so much detailed and accessible info for new fighting gamers
Your editing style is truly wonderful

just subbed, keep going man!
Actually I’m fairly new to fighting games. Your videos have been helpful
Excellent series
Great vids keep it up!
Nice video dude
Hell yeah
Great video!!
This video is so fucking helpful.
This is a great educational video but saying offence has never been stronger is a bit of a stretch given sfiv exists

Gold in a nutshell.

Damn, no drive reversal segment
Works one and the same to regular reversals

8:35 imagine dropping a demonstrative combo in a scripted video
You get the idea man 😭
Throws are 1200 across the board...me a kim main without lvl 3 buff 😭

If you seem to have a problem with that then I think you just don’t like fighting fames
When’s the next video?
Aw man I’m so busy with uni right now, but it’s in the works I promise
