Interesting note about the Grasshopper, it can disappear and reappear on top of the building. This happened to me. I had it on display in Home Plate and it vanished. When I went back to the top of the building it was there! The entire Cabot House respawns. I've raided it about five times for the "clean" items so far. :) I had no idea about the different sized Buttercups and the giant Vim! bottle. I can't wait to get them! I am terribly excited about this series. One of my favorite aspects of this game is settlement building and decorating so this is huge. Excited to see more!
He's actually slowed quite a bit on the fo4 uploads, but Paul has an extensive catalog you should definitely check out. Like literally anything you could want to know. From building king size four post beds, to wireless wiring, to unique uses and applications you probably never thought possible. I know I didn't, and settlement building was already one of my favorite aspects of fo4 before even finding this channel. When I did it was like getting to learn from a grand master. I still play fo4 all the time and I use tips I learned here for nearly every part of my builds. One of my favorites is using a combination of sinkable posts and a conduit to place things almost anywhere at any level.
Agree that FO4 just keeps on giving. So much packed into one game and you can always trust Paul to give you the heads up in a friendly fun way. Skooled Zone, always the best.
Great info, I didn't know about the giant Vim bottle! Oh, and maybe mention when an item is lumped into the junk category because the game WILL scrap it when you are building even if it's a unique item. I learned that hard way with the grasshopper. :( So always store your unique items somewhere safe!
For 'Clean' items I find Deb at Bunker Hill usually has a few things in stock. She's close to Cabot House too, so you can swing by for a few extra things.
All these years later and we're still finding gems in this game...more non-storable items: weed whackers (2 in SH), shopping carts, tricycles, safety cones, and I'm still scouring areas for more things I can find and display at my settlements. I moved all of the cones and barriers from the Vault 111 entrance to Sanctuary and I have placed them strategically throughout the settlement. Glad to see we're still working together to immerse ourselves in this game!
I usually decorate Home Plate with most of this stuff. It's filled with unique or rare items I've found (stolen, looted) around the Commonwealth. Also legendary and upgraded weapons and armor. Unless it's absolutely useless, I rarely sell those. Due to my Leave No Teddy Bear Behind policy there are a lot of them sitting around too. I'm going for a rich, well traveled, very heavily armed, and possibly slightly crazy motif.
I made a doughnuts shop with the content creator club. I also got the nuka cola one where you get the elk as a pet.... I sent it there and watched it knock all of my collected clean items off the counters and my wife laughed while I executed it three times for vengeance. Then deleted 4 hours of game play and hit the reset button on my mistakes.

Three of the boats at Spectacle Island can be moved by using a pillar to pop them upright, then they can be moved without the pillar, I made a dock over by the house connected with the existing dock already there for two of the boats, then I put one over by the main house I built on the other side of the island
There are also clean Items in vault 81. You can take a bunch of them without angering the residents after you complete a specific quest and obtain a room for yourself.
I walked a radioactive bin that actually wasn't radioactive and had it's lid off from the C.I.T. Ruins to Sanctuary to my new little factory I made called the Lockr (from Fallout: Nuka Break)
I recently found miniature versions of a rubber alien, baby rattle and bottle. They're maybe half the size of the standard version. They were tucked behind a door in a building, but i can't remember which one now😭 As far as I'm aware they are unique one of a kind variants.

Things you need: Wire fence post Lobster cage 2 Rugs(first one) Green Footlocker 1 steel pillar 1 conduit 4 letters MAIL Steps: 1. Place Lobster cage on 1 Rug. (this rug stays so place directly on top) 2. Rug glitch Green Footlocker into Lobster cage. (remove rug). 3. Pillar / conduit glitch all steps above onto Wire Fence Post. 4. Pillar / conduit glitch 4letters MAIL onto side of Lobster cage. 5. Group Select and place where you want. Added bonus add a Armor Rack with the postman outfit nearby. Lining things up may be tricky but you will get it. :) thanks for the teachings.

When your soo comitted in creating a full unique item collection that you would rather load back to over an hour of gameplay so you dont acidently pick up an item your trying to carry home 😄😄
For the record I didn’t realize other people knew about that trick to drag cars I usually use guns to do the job and noticed if the cars that are far away from the settlement I have to go into the settlement workshop or they’d teleport back to there original location I mainly used the cars as walls after I destroyed them I didn’t want to tell anyone years ago because I didn’t want it to get patched but now I don’t have to
never new about the mini Buttercup. Just always though it was a normal one when he plops it in my inventory. Also I have a Very bad habbit of putting EVERY teddy bear i find in a 1x1 room called the Teddy cage. I think i'm over 300 of the things in there along with giant and mini bears
I carried the giant sized teddy bear from the bus by egret tours marina all the way back to sanctuary so i could put it in shawn's room. Now i use it in every play through.
Hey SZ, Just picked up Fallout4 a couple of months ago, thanks for the vids. I figured out another way to ensure that corpses don't keep reappearing in you settlement (probably an old suggestion by now but you never know). Move the corpses before you claim the workshop. It seems that the game remembers the positions of those pesky bodies at the moment you claim the workshop (something like that anyway). On my second play through now and it's worked for me so far, you don't even have to take them all the way out of the settlement area if you don't want to. Now i'm wondering if can make some sort of gruesome display with them...
Late to the party but I have a concern with any placed items If I dropped, say, the giant Buttercup or the Vim bottle, will they despawn after some time or can I breathe easy knowing I could go on a 3 day quest and when I come back, they're still in place
They don't necessarily "despawn" but they sometimes fall through the wiremesh because of Bethesda's wonky load order. Here's a good tip to ensure that doesn't happen: ruclips.net/video/D76HR039mDI/видео.html
I love using those shelves for my shops too. Just be warned, don't use them for weapons and ammo... especially not for the Big Boy MIRV and a line of mini nukes... just don't.
I have watched a couple of videos from the no mod series but never found any video explaining about building multi-story builds. I am using elevators as my base hight with the bottom of the elevator snapped with the floor, but even after using double thick floor(upper floor) as roof, there is still some gap left between the 1st and 2nd floor(to be precise with measures gap is of the thickness of a normal floor). If I could perfectly align the wall on top of the floor instead of to the side there won't be a gap but I couldn't align it properly. A comment explaining the method will be more than enough.
Unfortunately, the normal vanilla walls are a different height than the elevators. The vault-tec walls work well, as do the barn and warehouse walls. Hope that helps some. :)
That's fine for now. I stacked walls on top of eachother and then built floor inside, I removed elevator after using it to get a reference point for floor. Floor is kinda floating if you think about it but I decided to leave it thatway.
Does anyone know how to rotate items on two axis on a PS4? I can pick up an item and rotate it back and forth on one axis, but can't the other way. That's not clear. I can rotate clockwise but not end over end, which makes it hard to set a bottle up right.
You do know that there is a mini nuka cola quantum in nuka world right? If you want to find it to the overboss home look down to your right go to the cooking table go inside the building and look for the normal nuka cola quantum and inside of it ther is a tiny quantum bottle
You can get more of the bottles by waiting a few ingame days for the entire instance to respawn.. If all enemies are respawned the bottle will also respawn so you can get a few more that way :)
Wait I didn't know about a big bottle I've never seen it there probably blow it away every time lol has anyone else came across the 0kb glitch I've had it 2 times first time I had to reinstall the whole game this time I deleted all saves God dam it 2000 hours of deleted saves. I know for sure it's something to do with the creation club content trying to figure what one the skins do it and there's another one I bet any money it's the tunnel snakes.

I don't plan on going back to FO76. Only looking forward at this point. Hopefully Microsoft will make the building aspect in the next Bethesda game all that it's cracked up to be. ;)

I really like you’re a fall out 4 tips tricks and guides I do not have Internet in my house at this particular point in time but I hope within a year or two maybe I will be able to participate in a build off in fallout 4 I know fallout is extremely old at this point and would be even worse later but please don’t forget about broke tired people like myself we still watch and learn and forget and re-watch you are definitely amazing I have learned so much the Wi-Fi glitch is my absolute favorite please keep up the great work
Thank you now i finally know where to find that Vim bottle. Oh and good news on the 45° roofs, i found a very easy solution to place them (without creation club items) and a semi good but easy solution to cover than still existing holes from walls etc.

Oh and good news on the 45° roofs, i found a very easy solution to place them (without creation club items) and a semi good but easy solution to cover than still existing holes from walls etc.
I keep always dedicate a chest to store these items in. And yes, you pronounced Faneuil Hall correctly.
1:30 this is the major reason I use mods for decorating/ settlement building.
