6 eggs

6 tablespoons of sugar (100 g)
4 tablespoons of corn starch (40 g)
500 ml milk (2 cups + 2 tablespoons)
Let the cream thicken over medium heat
100 g butter (5 tablespoons)
100 g white chocolate (1/2 cup)
add a pinch of salt to the egg white
6 tablespoons of sugar (100 g)
3 tablespoons of flour (40 g) + 1 teaspoon of baking powder
2 tablespoons of poppy seeds
Divide the dough in two. Shape 22 cm
30 minutes at 180 ° C / 350 ° F. to bake
450g berries (I have a pitted cherry) (1½ cup)
~ 3 tablespoons of sugar
2-3 tablespoons of water
Heat until the sugar dissolves
4 tablespoons of corn starch (40 g) + 100 ml of water (6 tablespoons)
Cook the berries until thickened over medium heat
let the cakes cool down a bit
While the berry smoothie is hot, spread it over the cake
Let cool down completely
collect the cake
200 g chocolate (1 cup)
200 ml heavy cream (¾ cup + 2 tablespoons)
heat to melt chocolate
Put in the fridge at night

I ate these kinds of desserts when I was in Europe many many years ago so I know what many Americans are missing. Instead, they use excessive amounts of sugar (thanks to the Sugar Lobby) to mask every other flavor until all they can taste is sugar. And your videos are so pure - and bereft of sponsors and advertising - that I am overjoyed. Where I live everything is about making money, but your baking videos are about baking. Pure unadulterated baking. Thank you so much for that!

I'm from Ukraine. In her youth, she baked a similar cake with poppy seeds, but boiled the poppy for a minute and then filtered the water and dried in a pan.

Как же вы любите своего мужа, что готовы его баловать! Думаю, что готовка и вам приносит удовольствие. Сразу видно, что вы хорошая жена! Уверена, что похвала в вашей семье играет большую роль. Ведь, как сказано: «Встают дети и славят ее, встает муж и не скупится на похвалу» (Притчи 31:28).
Если питаться только десертами из белой муки и сахара, быстро поднимется уровень сахара в крови, что вызовет выброс инсулина и отложение жиров.
Если же питаться растениями (фруктами, овощами и цельнозерновыми продуктами), то на высокоуглеводной диете вы будете прекрасно себя чувствовать.
Ещё один плюс в том, что такие продукты богаты растительными волокнами, которые дают чувство насыщения.
