the reason google home wasnt responding to some of your commands was because you were saying living room Chrome cast but you had named the device living room CAST ( without the word chrome)
Nice vid. Just a heads up, Phillips HUE lights are not bluetooth, they are ZigBee.
Only thing I do not like about Google Home is that it requires another smart device to work. Kinda funny how I need a smart device to configure another smart device. I would love to be able to configure this with only my voice, and have it do its job without the help of my phone or tablet. If I need my phone for this to work right, why don't I just ask my phone the same questions?
AirMaxPenny it's just like the echo you need to use the phone for setup but after that you don't. I use the echo mainly for music setting timers and turning off or on light bulbs

google doesn't work on everything like the echo does, echo is very responsive

What if I have a 4k TV that is hooked up to my PC via HDMI 1, and I have a chrome cast dongle on HDMI 2? Will the TV still turn on and off via Google Home even though the TV is on HDMI 1(PC)?
If your TV is off, don't you need to plug the chromecast into the external power source so it always has power?

Im trying to learn how to have the video part of it playing on the tv and the audio part of it playing on the google speakers through a group but the audio always comes from the tv speakers

RDG both work the same pretty much but don't use tv USB for power, use the adapter. 4k Chromecast is the best but all have that HDMI control feature.

America Pride no unfortunately, it won't act as a bluetooth speaker and it won't connect to other bluetooth speaker, there is also no aux in or out.
The setup and technology is there because they google home can turn things on and off so they can still make a speaker like accessories i just hope they do it soon

+ Tampatec I posted here because this your newest video. I have a Vizio M43-C1 (LTTWSPAR Serial) 4k TV. I made a video of the problem and after I messed around with the t-con cables the picture got way worse. The TV is only 8 months old but the place I bought it from said it was brand new and then I found out when the TV messed up I saw the sticker that says it was refurbished. Could you or anyone with knowledge of TV's look at this 30 second video and give me an idea of what may be wrong. In the video I have the Tv upside down so the picture being upside down is just because I was holding it up that way. Thanks for any suggestions from anyone. ruclips.net/video/7Ep4RE_DSG8/видео.html
