I'll never stop telling the story of SotY coming to a small club with Anberlin and Monty Are I in my area. Not only did Ryan come off stage to mosh with us all during a song but they invited us all to come up on stage and jam Enter Sandman for an encore. Jumping and screaming next to Adam and high fives everywhere was one of the greatest moments of my concert-going life. I hope they know how much that meant to me.
So crazy to see Story of the Year hit huge fame as a teenager, playing massive shows, then have their popularity die down to playing much smaller shows in my 30's, but still going at it hard no matter what.
@@markgoodwin5306 I totally agree.. take away that freak and that band was amazing.. I still listen to them...but in the back of my mind it's like I'm dissecting every lyric.. and I don't get the same feeling I do with Hawthorne heights or any band that I hold dear from my childhood
Haven't listened to these guys in a long time. They played my college's tiny cafeteria activity space after this song came out and was big. They were standing on their amps and poking their heads through the ceiling tiles. Good to see they're still out there playing.
I remember his flip and guitar swings. I mean they old now but he was a ninja with a guitar, always did at least one a show. Pretty awesome lol. I can't say any other guitarist I remember did that shit lol. I was lk dang he just did a flip thing swinging the axe or am I really high. Sure enough he did it again and as a guitar guy I was impressed no matter the ease of the riff ,I did learn the guitar he used was super light which helped I'm sure.
What was this recorded on?! Crazy quality. Anyway, what a performance! One of my favourites from back then ;) 28 years old here so I’m hoping I’m atleast one of the younger ones but let’s face it.. this song was a long ass time ago haha! Still kills though
@@brianrodgers4484 ahhh, recorded in 4K then 60 frames per second? I have an iPhone 13, just the standard one. I tend to record in lower quality though just to save memory.

It's always nice to see a band years later, still going, no member having done something heneous haha.
That's what kills me about Lostprophets.... That start something album was AMAZING.. but it will always be in that darkness
@@therockman89 Oh yea, I haven't thought about that in a while. What a loony tune. Scary.

This song reminds me of a beloved friend that passed away. He loved it.
I love this band. I wish they'd have a touring guitarist/ backup singer though...their songs rely so much on those great arrangements !
This song has such a strong presence from my teenage years. Still love it as much as I did then. Glad to see they’re still at it.
Will always be a classic and a permanent memory stamped on a crucial time of my life
Legend. My idol since 2006 and since the Pepsi Smash
I remember when this album came out. I got a promo copy at the record store I worked at. Spun it non stop in the store for like a week. Good times.
Hell yes. This song still kicked my adrenaline into overdrive the same way it did when I was younger. Awesome.
Still have the ability and energy of 20 year olds! Their new song is SICK too.
They sound even better live now
Who all those girls?
SOTY and Silverstein are the two bands that sound just as good as they used to.
@@tjsimpson6292 basically the opposite of the used and senses fail
Can't even hear him during the song lol
They sounded better as a 5 piece when Sneed was in the band, but yeah as a 4 piece they sound great.
Even to this day these guys are honestly still amazing as ever from when they first started.
Моя любимая песня. С неё началось моё знакомство с группой в далёком 2007 году
Thinking about going to see them in Houston next week
Me too. Maybe I'll see you there!

Hell yeahhhh... I miss those days.... already 2 decades ago
Thank you for this gem.

Nice. I'm seeing them next weekend in Atl!!
20 years later and they're still going
And the singer almost looks exactly the same. Hasn’t aged that much at all. Can’t wait to see them in Nashville soon.
now that i seen the guitar player, i gotta learn this song. i love this song 💯
Wish Moon was still in the band…
I saw these guys in a small club in Cleveland many years ago and the band Stutterfly was opening up for them, it was a good concert!

I saw them at ODU waaaaaaaaaaay back when they had a 3 song ep touring with Thrice, My Chem and The Used. Great show!
They’ve hardly aged. Impressive
Still so good!
Man I miss 2000 through like 2007 music man now I'm depressed 😭😭
Nostalgic!
Was waiting for one of the dudes' to do a flip?? :) ... I remember seeing them open for Linking Park, POD, Hoobastank in 2004!

FYE was just popping up more and more. Sam Goody was still around along with Streetside Records. Damn, I miss record stores with real music
They're still young
i wont exchange this music and all of the same era, than the music right now!!
Seen them at Warped Tour in Orlando 08.. Was the year they dropped their new album Black Swan.. Such a good set by them
I was here!
They really should add a rhythm guitar to fill out the sound.
Sweet
I still scream this song in my truck... I'm 36 🤣🤣🤣
Same😂 31!
41.. Still going😂
Dan still looks exactly the same!

No backflips or guitar flips?
Moon isnt part of the band anymore so, no.
sad :(
Are they all OG's?
My friend knocked the lead singer out at a house party in west county back in the day. It was awesome.
