There are some Neo-Fusion artists like me;) Check out "Stay For A While" from crima, where a Mini-Moog Model-D (the original one) is featured (and more old analog synth stuff as on the whole album...
If you haven’t seen this same solo from the Home invasion at Royal Albert hall DVD then you are in a for a real treat after watching this soundcheck version. As good as soundcheck sounds, Adam finds another level when played in concert. Absolutely brilliant stuff!!!
Holzman is a true musician, and we didn't need this masterfully written and played solo to aknowledge this. He is a master of his craft. I know that Steven Wilson is a genius in what he does, but I will never understand how he convinced all this giants to play for him in his albums. I mean...it would even be acceptable to have 1 monster in a band, but Holzman, Govan, Minneman in the same band?! It's crazy.
one quick note about "written" solo - it isn't. Aside from the first and last couple of bars, this is all improvised, coming straight from Adam's head and heart. That said... "masterful," indeed!
This was the best display of musicianship I've ever seen. The sound was amazing as fuck. Thank you. Steven Wilson, Nick Beggs, Adam Holzman, Dave Kilminster and Craig Blundell For the Boulder Co. show
Really enjoyable tasty synth solo...pleasing melodic phrasing! Made me think back to some of the synth work of Jan Hammer and of Kit Watkins in his 'Happy The Man' days. Thanks for sharing this Adam!
i guess Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a trick to get back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost my password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Jaylen Kylen i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im in the hacking process atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Adam you absolutely slay, you are awesome, regret number 9 solo is unreal, I must have played the solo About 10000000 times. Love it! Great sound for soloing.
Brilliant....Adam is an all time favourite on mine. Still have his first solo album and always thought that he is an outstanding musician and also a gentle person. Very inspiring to practice my solo work on my new moog....
One of my Favorite Adam solos and then to climax it when Govan kicks in with the octave harmonized guitar (studio) is just so over the top incredible. SW is GOD~~~!!!!
Aw, maaaan, that's SO nice. Just became familiar with SW music during the lockdown and then discovered your name on the credits for Miles' TUTU album a couple weeks ago. You're a blessing and such an integral part of those SW albums. And LOVE the Leslie piano on Eminent Sleaze. Looking forward to checking out Truth Decay and your other work. A great discovery!
Oooooh mate! Just keep doing what you’re doing! You are great! Saw you with SW in Stockholm twice. Regret #9 was awesome! I think I love your touch on the piano even more though….
The harmonic distortion in Bob Moog's designs makes that instrument sound so natural and not synthesized. Another amazing American engineer that created something dope that changed our perception of existance.
Aaarrgghh, it gets cut off right at the guitar solo! Thanks Adam, for posting this, your solo followed by Dave's on Regret #9 were the highlight during the show for me.
I'm no scholar of keyboard solos in rock albums, but this is my #1 all-time. And there can be no finer 1-2 punch than this solo in combination with Guthrie's guitar solo. I can't get enough of it.
I was lucky enough to see the original HCE tour in Cardiff where Govan and Minneman were astonishing but the absolute highlight of the entire evening was this solo. It left the whole place reeling. Sublime musicianship.
I come back to watch this, Adam's solo often.... Just hearing all of them jam is amazing. It must just be so amazing as artist's like Wilson, Blundell, Kilminster, Beggs and Holzman. As baddas as they are. Sounding and playing this Fuckin good.
Glad to see this man being highlighted. Seeing him being overlooked as a keyboard player in Porcupine Tree and not considered one of the top players of the era got me upset for a long time. This guy knows less can be more in terms of longer proggresive songs, even though mad skills are his property. Hahah cheers man, love the music
Hey Adam, now I know why Jack at Korg hipped me to you way back man, really nice followup after just listening to you and Jimi T ripping it on Whoa Nellie!...cheers from the real Forest Hills
Adam Holzman rocks! Saw him twice with Steven Wilson, sept'15 and jan'18, always listening to them at home, frequently watching their live videos. Thank you all for your art.
When I saw them do this in NYC, I thought Steven stepped too forcefully on Adam's solo with the rhythmic strumming that he was doing (not doing it here). I loved this solo from the album and really wanted to hear it loud, dominating the song and shaking the Beacon. Didn't really get that, but it was still great.
Great solo, Adam! Very clean playing. Wondering, does the voyager have a way of keeping it's tune across the keyboard? Because I own a model D reissue and am having trouble with it going out of tune. Do you have to tune before each few shows or something? Thanks
We need more Moog solos! it was so common in 70s prog and jazz-fusion bands, but now kind of forgotten art
@Randy A True, but Rick isn't exactly the most healthy person and he's getting older... Whose gonna pick up the torch?!?

Sooo 70s! Down with rap!!
I'd argue there's never been more solos like this played, just not on popular tunes.
I will never tire of this one.
KILLER $HIT!
My favorite key solo in the past 30 years. With the bands grinding crescendo underneath, what a freaking trip. Thank you.
This was always the highlight of the SW show 2015-2019!
If you haven’t seen this same solo from the Home invasion at Royal Albert hall DVD then you are in a for a real treat after watching this soundcheck version. As good as soundcheck sounds, Adam finds another level when played in concert. Absolutely brilliant stuff!!!
😢 Thanks Dr.Robert Moog for this wonderful instrument 🎹🎛️🤟
Killer solo, Adam. Sounding absolutely amazing.
Best voyager solo on youtube. Thank you

Great solo! Now we need a solo jam between Cory Henry and Adam Holzman! :)
This was the best display of musicianship I've ever seen. The sound was amazing as fuck. Thank you. Steven Wilson, Nick Beggs, Adam Holzman, Dave Kilminster and Craig Blundell For the Boulder Co. show
The Hammer is strong in this one
The Hammer is the King of the Minimoog.
Bad Bad Bad Moderfoker - Outstanding!!!
Really enjoyable tasty synth solo...pleasing melodic phrasing! Made me think back to some of the synth work of Jan Hammer and of Kit Watkins in his 'Happy The Man' days. Thanks for sharing this Adam!

Thanks so much you really help me out!
@Tyson Torin Happy to help =)
one of the best synth solos I've heard in a while
ABSOLUTE magic!!! stunning!
Adam you absolutely slay, you are awesome, regret number 9 solo is unreal, I must have played the solo
About 10000000 times. Love it! Great sound for soloing.
Fantastic Adam. I hear Kit and Jan deliciously mixed together here along with you of course. Great!
Brilliant....Adam is an all time favourite on mine. Still have his first solo album and always thought that he is an outstanding musician and also a gentle person. Very inspiring to practice my solo work on my new moog....
Thank you for this precious and beautiful footage! ♥️
Bloody amazing - never get tired of hearing this!
One of my Favorite Adam solos and then to climax it when Govan kicks in with the octave harmonized guitar (studio) is just so over the top incredible. SW is GOD~~~!!!!
Love! Love! Love! Great playing Adam!!!
Grande Capusotto

Magic fingers Adam is so good with his keyboard fills, and solos like an extra guitar player, immense

Awesome.. just seeing this track live was worth the entry fee
wow this is so great...what a sound and feel ....
one of my favorite parts from this album
Oooooh mate! Just keep doing what you’re doing! You are great! Saw you with SW in Stockholm twice. Regret #9 was awesome! I think I love your touch on the piano even more though….
Semplicemente meraviglioso!!
Awesome a master piece
Fantastic! I think Adam can teach me alot!
Adam, you're a bloody legend.
Very great !
Fantastic!

great song - beautiful solo ... btw. having such a large tv screen at work is what i call style ;o))
thanks for sharing & cheers, Jochen
I adore this solo 💜
Aaarrgghh, it gets cut off right at the guitar solo! Thanks Adam, for posting this, your solo followed by Dave's on Regret #9 were the highlight during the show for me.
oMG! Adam, so cool to see this. I think I saw another similar solo at Goodman Music when you were showing off for Ray Parker Jr.
I'm no scholar of keyboard solos in rock albums, but this is my #1 all-time. And there can be no finer 1-2 punch than this solo in combination with Guthrie's guitar solo. I can't get enough of it.
Haven't heard such a good solo in a long time!
I was lucky enough to see the original HCE tour in Cardiff where Govan and Minneman were astonishing but the absolute highlight of the entire evening was this solo. It left the whole place reeling. Sublime musicianship.

Love that part! Absolutely fantastic and emotianal. Too bad that we can't hear Dave Kilminster's brilliant guitar solo in full lenght!
The Lonely Rocker likes this sound! It's a real ethereal sound of Moog. fantastic and amazing!
Simply amazing....I enjoyed it a lot!!!
Simply wonderful!!!
Reminds me of the great work you did with the Fents !
As a new EWI player I’m going to be listening to a lot more Adam Holzman.
Who could possibly give a thumbs down to this??
Awesome!
Glad to see this man being highlighted. Seeing him being overlooked as a keyboard player in Porcupine Tree and not considered one of the top players of the era got me upset for a long time. He was not in Porcupine tree!
@@gorgenhaggblad6727 Wtf, I literally though that was the same dude. They both rock though
amazing.
I was there! Great show!
Awesome Solo!
27 april 2016 love this gig!
you are the best!!!
Adam you were excellent at The Wiltern show and I'm sorry i didn't say so sooner.
wow!! I want a mooog!
Amazing!
Forever !! ;-)
Got a face for radio but man can he tickle the ivories!
well done Adam!
Some great echoes of Jan Hammer on this solo. This and Guthrie's solo are one of my favourite moments of HCE.
I had goosebumps.
Wow, huge crowd!
Killer solo / synth storytelling, Adam! 🤜🤛
Hey Adam, now I know why Jack at Korg hipped me to you way back man, really nice followup after just listening to you and Jimi T ripping it on Whoa Nellie!...cheers from the real Forest Hills
awesome!
Great musician
Moog is life !
Adam Holzman rocks! Saw him twice with Steven Wilson, sept'15 and jan'18, always listening to them at home, frequently watching their live videos. Thank you all for your art.
Greatness
sutil, diferente, bello
Savory and tasty playing!
sounds like some light overdrive too. Very cool
This sound is so tasty that I want to eat it! Gimme a peice of that sound cake!
Nice Adam!
This guy isn't playing his Moog. He's making sweet, sweet love to it.
So that is the sound of making love to Bob Moog? Makes sense.
This is beyond human imagination.
100% perfection.
Love the sound. Does anyone know how did he set up his Moog?
Yessss
JUST WOW
Solid.
OH YEAH KILLIN
Wow wow wow.
💯💯💯
Kit Watkins is an all time star for this style of solo on a moog but Adam Holzman nails it equally here.
Yeah, man. That was fantastic! Really great line reminiscent of Jan Hammer @0:55
Great solo, Adam! Very clean playing. Wondering, does the voyager have a way of keeping it's tune across the keyboard? Because I own a model D reissue and am having trouble with it going out of tune. Do you have to tune before each few shows or something? Thanks
So, the first synth with pitch bend wheel and modulation wheel was the minimoog?
as Miles wld say
"my man!"
#AdamHolzman is the shit!!!!
Nice pentatonic runs man, great playing 👍 Not really diggin the patch though
f*cking EPIC!
Wow...
Hey. Moog. WHY have you withdrawn the “Voyager”? Muppets!
Amazing! You should have left the guitar solo too!
