    • @alij9167
      @alij9167 Год назад +1

      @@zackarysemancik5491 He was 16 when he left not 6. He was trained by Iranian grandmasters. He was already top ranked. France didn't make him a chess player. and he had become a citizen of France only because of his abilities in chess which was flourished in Iran, otherwise it would be very hard to even get a visa. So I don't see how it's a personal choice.

    It doesn't matter that he considers himself French or Iranian. People expect him to show his support for their bloody strugle to change the extreme hardship and poverty condition that they are living in. Spacially young men and women risking their life for freedom that Alireza injoys only because he is a good chess player that let him to be wellcomed in his new country. A 19 years old girl was killed in the city that Alireza was born and spent his childhood there. It doesn't make sense that Alireza stays silent when a lot of French famus people, news casts and magazines in that country constantly supporting Iranian revolutinary movemet but Alireza can't do that! Only because he is "French" and it's not his concern that what is going on in there! It sounds ridiculous. It's a bad excuse. Those youngsters that put their life on line for freedom are not any less than Alireza. They killed Kyan a ten years old kid that could be the next math genius or a great physicist.
