    I have the mg3 face lift, the reverse parking sensors don't work, I never hear the beep. How can I fix it? As there's not many videos online? And would it be possible to add a reverse, camera to the stock infotainment system?

    Hi. I noticed that when you drained the coolant it was pink. I used comma OAT when I changed mine 3 years ago but have noticed that it has gone dark and flakey. Was this the wrong coolant to use or should I have changed it after two years?
    My intention now is to drain, flush and refill with Prestone OAT readymix. I would like your opinion please.
    Thanks buddy.

    • @pistonbroke
      @pistonbroke  9 месяцев назад

      It may have been mixed too weak and there is some corrosion inside. Comma isn't the best brand in my opinion. OAT is the right stuff to use. Just change it again.

    Good afternoon, could you help me with the symptoms to think about changing the radiator, my car I feel that it gets very hot in the cabin. I don't have leaks or loss of liquid. I already changed the 88-degree thermostat. Do you think what's next is to clean the radiator since it doesn't have a leak to replace it?

    • @pistonbroke

      Are you sure you actually have a problem? Does the engine overheat? With the heater on, after a while it does get very hot inside, it's supposed to!

    I gotta change my radiator but I have no lift to put it in the air 😂😢. Otherwise thank you. Is it common for the steering wheel and accelerator pedal to vibrate when you hit highway speeds(above 90km/h)? I’ve changed spark plugs done the wheel balancing but it still vibrates, Only issue I’ve had with my mg3.

    • @pistonbroke
      @pistonbroke  Год назад

      No it's not common. Check tyres, make sure they're not out of round, does it judder when braking? The discs can warp. Check for play in all the steering/suspension joints, check for play in the driveshaft inner cv joints.

    hi did you solve MG3 codes B1937 and B1997, (passenger side airbag) ? any info will be appreciated.

    • @pistonbroke
      @pistonbroke  2 года назад +1

      Yeah, check the connection under the passengers seat. It's a green plug, unplug it, plug it back in and and make sure the wiring has enough slack for the seat to move. Make sure nothing is under the seat that could knock or pull on the wiring.

    Can you not remove the bumper take the top slam panel off and then remove from there and take it out from up the way instead of down?

      @richiec9077 I wasn't being sarcastic. To get the slam panel off, you still need to remove the bumper, plus the headlights and some other stuff and you would need to de-gas the a/c.

    Looks like you need to be a bit of a juggler and have, what we used to say in the trade here in Australia "Sidchrome universal hands" (Sidchrome was a very good, well made brand of tool in the old days), to do the job. Previous experience helps a lot.
    What was the problem with the original rad?

    Would be interested in your general opinion of the MG3. Are they as cheaply made as the price would suggest?

    • @pistonbroke
      @pistonbroke  2 года назад +1

      I've owned one for the last 4 years, I also work at an MG dealer so I've seen it all. Yes you get what you pay for and build quality in some areas could be a bit better but in all honesty they are not a bad car, pretty well screwed together and pretty reliable. There are far more expensive cars out there that have more reliability issues than the MG3.

    • @michaeldallimore8590
      @michaeldallimore8590 2 года назад

      @@pistonbroke Thanks for that. MG I think is the best selling car in Australia right now based primarily on price I expect. They have not been here that long. By looking at the rust under the one you were working on they have been in the UK for more than a few years.

    • @pistonbroke
      @pistonbroke  2 года назад +1

      MG are a good seller here too. We've had the 3 in the UK since 2012/13. This one is a 2016. There's not much protection on the subframe and rear axle and with our winters and salty roads they do corrode. Rust on the underside of the body is pretty good and I've not seen any with bad body corrosion. I'd expect they'd fair better in your climate.
