Now I’m able to slick it back or to the side or comb it to the front. Unless I let it grow out extremely long, then it starts getting all thick and I’ll have issues with it but as long as you keep up with it you should be good. Also you can use Argan oil.

That shits so bad for your hair. The amount of shampoo you're gonna need to get that out is going to dry out your scalp and remove a lot of your natural oils, not worth it imo.
Good job bro. I'm a barber and I always express to my clients that when you apply pomade or product to make sure you're not just spreading it on top of the hair and instead within all of the hair. It's like they get afraid of "messing" up their hair to put in pomade but without it you're going to be fighting areas with less pomade trying to stand up.
