I stayed there,very clean,large compound,however,it was'nt a lot to do! I had expected lots of fun activites through out the resort,but no! Too much walking just to get food! The rooms near the beachfront are about 1/4 of a mile to walk to everyday 2-3 times a day in hot heat! The pools are nice,but thats all there is to do here.The beach is riddled with seaweed,that you dont get to see in the advertisement photos. Buffet food is ok,the specialty restaurants were subpar for marketing them as higg end dining. I ended up going to Macao beach one day,which was amazing! So,if you dont require much,Id say come here,but if you want a beautiful beach experience,Id say No,go research the best beaches in DR.
Yup we had a similar experience at the beach here too. Lots of seaweed!
I may have missed it in the video but what is the tipping policy / culture there? I'm assuming at a minimum the bartender is expecting a tip.
For us we try to give the bartenders or waiters a tip. Especially when they have exceptional service. But the culture is just like anywhere else. There’s no rule saying you have to tip. You tip on your discretion and how you felt the service was.

What kind of entertainment does it have?
Hey ! They had like a live band at night that played soft music by the pool. They have a theater so a bunch of performances throughout the week. They also have a club on site which was real good and played good music. ~ chanell 😄
also did you have to change to the local currency or you could use your USD and credit cards there?
We didn’t buy much, we tipped in cash and mainly used credit cards for other transactions
I’ve heard reviews about being hounded by timeshare people daily on the resort. How was your experience with that?
Yes! They will follow you and talk to you until you say no multiple times. It wasn’t incredibly annoying but we wish they gave us some more breathing room. They mainly interact with you on the beach, in attempts to book a snorkeling or jet-ski excursion
We didn’t experience any of that by the timeshare people. There were locals selling their stuffs on the beach n photographers with iguanas , parrots n monkeys but they didn’t hound us, just my luck,maybe.
Is that garden view rooms or deluxe?
Ours was luxury suite ocean view outdoor jacuzzi room
how was transportation from the airport to the resort, can one uber in Punta Cana?
We pre booked our transportation to the resort, but yes you can Uber there

We weren’t in the Preferred Club and they do sell excursions at the resort

Hotel transfers are not included. When we left the resort it was via an excursion package

if I remember correctly the pools close relatively early, maybe 7 or 8pm the latest. I definitely remember the pool bar closing before the actual pool does

Nope, no additional fees once we arrived

Yup u can always upgrade at the front desk
How is the food and drink quality this 4 star resort i went to last year in Cancun had the worst drinks I’ve every had i life and didn’t tell you that you could upgrade to premium drinks
The drinks are weaker, the food is good, above average
Also what kinda of room did you have i wanna make sure i have one with a hot tube .

It’s hot of course but October is part of hurricane season so keep that in mind
How were the food and drinks?
the food and drinks were good, nothing spectacular
How’s the night life? Good entertainment? I know the beach doesn’t look great but would you recommend it ? We are family of 5 (3 teenagers )

There was a club, auditorium for shows and the bar in the lobby in terms of late night fun. We think you guys will have fun. Keep in mind there’s no designated teenage hang out spots or club for the kids. So ur teenagers would only have the shows to look forward to at night. The pools close around 6pm unfortunately😔. The beach water wasn’t clear but it’s possible it cleared up

Hi! Is there a seaweed barrier installed?
I’m unsure but as u can see in the video, during our stay there was a lot of seaweed.. so if there is a barrier it doesn’t work well

Did you get the Premium Club upgrade while there?
We were offered it when we checked in but decided not to upgrade
Thank you for the reply@@ChanellandClive I'm headed there from Dec 21st to Dec 31st in a Premium Suite with the upgrade. Hope it's worth it in the end. Any other tips or advice? The reviews which are negative are making this trip a little scary for us.
@@ThePorscheFanatic I mean we had a good time at the resort, we’ve been to better resorts but its faaaar from bad. The only negative I can think of rn are the locals alway trying to sell you merchandise or excursions on the beach

Yea idk why they set up the shower like that. I guess they are catering more to couples. I’d recommend bringing dress shoes if you intend on going to a speciality restaurant

Not all bathroom are set up as open concept, I believed the resort assigned rooms based on the bookings,if it’s family, there probably is a door in the bathroom. We,(9 people,4 children) going to Serenade on April 17:2023, our very 1st time there, we have been to the Gran Bahia chain resorts for the longest time.
@@david888a To our knowledge all the bathrooms are set up like so. Unless your in the Presidential Suite
Did you had to pay for the food at the restaurants?
Nope! It's all inclusive!
There’s about 6 or 7 restaurants but u hv to book early, the Japanese restaurant is always fully booked. The Cut restaurant serves steak but the Mediterranean restaurant’s steak was much better,imo.

Was room service 24 hours ?
No, it's a 12 hour room service from 9am to 9pm from what we can remember. Thanks for the comment!
There’s a Sport Bar close by the pool that opens till 2 am, served very good chicken wings n fries, tender juicy ribs, Philly steak sandwich n others, You can ask the servers to do take out, our rooms were very close to this bar n it’s convenient for us. Ask for block 4 , it is also close to the beach n pool. HTH.

In Punta Cana, the best period is between late March to early July based on my experience,the weather is sunny n hot ,occasional light showers but u pay a bit more for its high season.
