Askoha is younger looking because the Lightside is easier to bear. Barris has had to live with the betrayal that she committed especially after Order 66. She was a teenager seduced to the darkside. I want more characters who are redeemed and live to actually do something about it or who find a different path with the Lightside of the Force. Redemption is a major theme within Star Wars.
While I do agree with the theme you're aiming for with this post, I think it's more likely that Barris' aging was an inconsistency. When animating her story they went for the rule of cool wisened old lady beats young sith inquisitor instead of thinking about the actual progression of time between betrayal and where she is in the present.
I may be wrong, not checking any website for this, but I kind of remember Ashoka being about a year or two younger. Might have been a Legends thing though. That said, I'm pretty sure that Barris is a Jedi. When she betrays the Inquisitors, she states that there is one more Jedi or some such, namely herself. They really keep things vague with this stuff in cannon as they have Ashoka not identifying as Jedi yet taking on the part of a Jedi with a Padawan of all things. They really are bound by The Last Jedi.
Barris is actually a year younger than Anikan, making her 4 years older than Ahsoka. Which means their ages are 19, 18 and 14 when Ahsoka became Anikan’s padawan.
People really seem to forget Barris was literally fighting already enough to be chosen to be taken to Genosia in attack of the clones by her master, ahsoka was years away from even being a padawan at that point

Ahsoka is a Togruta, a species that has an average life expectancy of 94 years, nearly a third more. Presuming this is just before A New Hope Ahsoka will be in her mid-30s with a reasonable expectancy of around another 60 years. Bariss would be nearing 40 with probably 30 years left to reach the average life expectancy of her species. It’s not surprising that a slightly older person from a significantly shorter lived species would look older. Being a force user can extend lifespan but would apply to both of them. Also, if Bariss is set up on an icy world like shown, that climate is going to play hell with her skin.

I don't know how involved Dave was with Tales but from what I saw, that series had plenty of issues of its own. Ultimately, they need people like Dave or Sam Witwer need to review all of these stories before they are put to market because they truly understand Star Wars and will do their best to respect George every step of the way. Remember, Dave was basically George's padawan throughout The Clone Wars, he became a master during his time on Rebels, and now I feel he is ready to become the grand master of Lucasfilm and kick Kathleen's disrespectful butt into retirement. aging in star wars is inconsistent sometimes, for example Fennic Shand in the Mandoverse looks pretty much the same age in Book of Boba Fett compared to what she did in the Bad Batch dispite the 35 year gap between those shows. Also Tarkin in the Bad Batch looks the same age as he did in A New Hope despite this being about a year after the citadel arc in the clone wars and 20 years before Ep 4. Last but not least we have Barris Offie who is a Merry Allan, same species as Vernestra Ro who in the Acolyte is 115 years old but looks like shes in her 30s, yet somehow Barris being much younger looks alot older.

Everybody is harping on Sabine getting stabbed and surviving. As a medic familiar with human anatomy. I’m confident saying hers is the least life-threatening of all the stabbings in Star Wars. Small intestine, kidney, maybe the Bottom of her right lung, and she may have lost an ovary. Where Barris was stabbed top of the stomach, liver, lungs, heart all organs you cannot live without. Quon Jin: intestines, liver, stomach, and the lightsaber clearly severed the spine on exit. The characters that only survived due to plot armor in my opinion are Kylo, and Finn both of them sustained injuries in the force awakens that should’ve been fatal. And don’t get me started on Leia surviving the vacuum of space.

As satisfying as it would have been, I can understand why Dave filoni didn't have Vader fight Barris Offee the at the end. It's obvious that Dave filoni has future plans for her. If he had her fight Vader, she would most certainly die. Even Ahsoka was close to dying to Vader if it hadn't been for Ezra saving her last second. Lyn being the one to fight Barris at the end proves that he has every intention of using her for future projects.
if i remember right ahsokas species has a longer lifespan then most other lifeforms (i think it's 200-250 ish years) which is why ahsoka looks younger then barris whos species lifespan is around the same as a humans.
Barris Offee is a Murialen, same as Vernestra Rwoh who is 116 in The Acolyte. She shouldn't look any different in the Mandoverse. But I don't think there's room for her to show up in Ahsoka Season 2.
would love to see Ashoka see Barris again. I would also love to see more stories of the different Jedi who survived Order 66. Bariss offee is actually quite older than Ahsoka, during the first battle of geonosis there were only two Jedi padawans that were apart of the fight; Anakin, and bariss. We actually see her activate her lightsaber as she entered with her master Luminara. When we see her in attack of the clones she is equivalent to the age we first meet ahsoka in the clone wars animated movie. So that would put her age in between Anakin and ahsoka. The reason Anakin seems so much older when we see her again on geonosis during the attack on the droid refinery, is because luminara still believed barriss needed a bit more training, where Anakin was granted the rank of Knight after the first battle because he had reached the age to complete the trials and Obi-Wan argued that he completed the trial of loss after dooku cut his arm off. In my opinion barriss is aged correctly when we see the old version as Anakin would have just as much if not more if he hadn’t been burnt of mustafar.

Kylo was Force-healed by Rey. Finn was put in bacta. You can survive the vacuum of space for a short time.

I thought that like the Jedi in The Acolyte having specific abilities with the force that other Jedi may not, she has the ability to heal except it takes the energy from her own life. That may be the ability Anakin was after but was not trained in

As satisfying as it would have been, I can understand why Dave filoni didn't have Vader fight Barris Offee the at the end. It's obvious that Dave filoni has future plans for her. If he had her fight Vader, she would most certainly die. Even Ahsoka was close to dying to Vader if it hadn't been for Ezra saving her last second. Lyn being the one to fight Barris at the end proves that he has every intention of using her for future projects.

if i remember right ahsokas species has a longer lifespan then most other lifeforms (i think it's 200-250 ish years) which is why ahsoka looks younger then barris whos species lifespan is around the same as a humans.
Vernestra Rwoh is 116 in The Acolyte and still doesn't look particularly old.

Barris was always a healer... she was in Legends. Doubt that aged her.

Barris Offee is a Murialen, same as Vernestra Rwoh who is 116 in The Acolyte. She shouldn't look any different in the Mandoverse. But I don't think there's room for her to show up in Ahsoka Season 2.
would love to see Ashoka see Barris again. I would also love to see more stories of the different Jedi who survived Order 66. As for Season 2 I would love to see Barris and of course Anakin's force ghost interacting with his padawan. I know this is pulling Bantha's out of the blue but I would love her the Obi-Wan ;-)

Benioff and Weiss should not be allowed within 10,000 light-years of Star Wars. Do you want a repeat of GoT Season 8? The Acolyte, at least, has the excuse of being ruined by the writer's strike. Benioff and Weiss were never good. The first four seasons of GoT were only good because they followed the books. They also care more about showing off the actors than telling a good story.

Bariss offee is actually quite older than Ahsoka, during the first battle of geonosis there were only two Jedi padawans that were apart of the fight; Anakin, and bariss. We actually see her activate her lightsaber as she entered with her master Luminara. When we see her in attack of the clones she is equivalent to the age we first meet ahsoka in the clone wars animated movie. So that would put her age in between Anakin and ahsoka. The reason Anakin seems so much older when we see her again on geonosis during the attack on the droid refinery, is because luminara still believed barriss needed a bit more training, where Anakin was granted the rank of Knight after the first battle because he had reached the age to complete the trials and Obi-Wan argued that he completed the trial of loss after dooku cut his arm off. In my opinion barriss is aged correctly when we see the old version as Anakin would have just as much if not more if he hadn’t been burnt of mustafar.

He brought her body back to Dathomir to lay her to rest with her Nightsisters. The council forced Obi-Wan to escort Quinlan there as he literally was just a very naughty dark side user and they didn't trust him yet. Listen to Dark Disciple on Audible. That was the true story, whatever Disney does next with Asajj can be classified as world between worlds phenomena

Um different species age differently. I think you are over thinking this! Just looking it up , Mirialans had an average lifespan of 68 standard years, and Togruta species and they have an average lifespan of 82 standard years. Both though hose who were keenly attuned to the Force could live up to 200, Ahsoka was more in tune as well then Barris,
