Hello there! Today I bring you a song I made for the musical I'm writing.
This song serves as the introduction to one of the main characters.
This version does not include the vocals, but I'd like to share lyrics...

A long, long time ago,

we were able to soar high?
now it seems we've lost our wings

we didn't need that much

Which is the fondest memory from your childhood?
The background image actually alludes to mine...
One day, my parents took me to a wedding of some of their friends. There I befriended the children of other friends from my dad.
It was in a very wide field, almost like a forest and there was a cabin in the middle. That cabin became our headquarters, of my new friends and me.
But we also made enemies and thus a war started, a water balloon war haha.
I laugh just remembering, I don't recall if we lost or won, only that we had a lot of fun.
I sure miss those days, so free from all kinds of worry.

What a fantastic song!
A childhood memory... first thing that comes to mind is when I used to play capture the flag with the kids across the street. The youngest was my best friend growing up; we used to play with plushies and animal figurines in the attic. She was a sickly kid and couldn't do a lot of physical activity so we ended up just playing with toys and creating entire worlds and characters and narratives. It was a blast.
They moved back to Canada a few years down the line. I hear life is doing well for them, and my old friend is getting stronger by the year Her love of animals is still strong and lives the plant-mom life, like myself. Some things don't change I guess :)
That sounds so fun! Must have been an attic filled with magic thanks to the imagination of both of you.
And capturing the flag sounds awesome too! (How come I never did that with my across the street friends? 😅)
