I agree with your statement that Rebel Strike was the Spiderman 3 of the Rogue Squadron series, but in a different way than you state; That it had the most potential though in many ways poorly executed, and that I frankly find it rather underrated.
I think the on-foot missions were what soiled the experience. It just didn't really fit what was a game about shooting down ships, but everything else did well when isolated, not to mention a co-op version of the RSII campaign bundled in. Also, trying to emulate it really makes me appreciate just how much effort went into it, given it does its best within the limitations of the GC.
The nephew of Captain Piett has returned to the Empire... After giving the Empire information on the Rebellion. The Emperor himself welcomed Sarkli back into the ranks of the proud. Sarkli would head the Storm Commando Program in place of Crix Madine who had fully defected to the Rebellion.
Me: *DESTROYS GUNSHIP* Finally I've killed Sarkli! *30 minutes later* ???: You have nowhere to run Solo... Han Solo: Sarkli. Me: Ah, shoot... Here we go again.
I guess this is the closest thing we have to a storm commando theme. I knew this game when I was really little, so I never got to play the first two. But this sounds so metro and 1990s, not like anything today
Imagine this song where one the old Scooby-Doo villains from the past were taking over Coolsville and Scooby-Doo and the gang were trying to save Coolsville
"We're trapped."
"We're pinned down."
"We can't take much more!"
"Blast, we've lost the scientists!"
Anyone notice the AT-AT is floating
lol that is very weird, never noticed after all these years
Bad snow texture?
It's one of those newer models with Repulsorlifts...
God this was such a good game
Playing this while I build my LEGO AT-ST
That reminds me of myself building a Lego X-wing to the Rebel Strike theme song

Wait! Where are you going? The Empire is where someone of my caliber belongs! You walked us right into their arms.
JediJaras "You walked us right into their arms." really showed how much of a dick Sarkli was.
Dicky Sarkli
That Viper Sarkli gives pilots a bad name.
Gotta save those scientist

Lieutenant Commander Biggs Darklighter. First mate of the Rand Ecliptic at your service!
I swear this track was done for the death troopers/krennic's theme
Mewiss Extrimia I thought I was the only one!
They seemed to combine this with the main Rogue Squadron theme from 1998 to make the Imperial Suite in Rogue One.
I remember this played on Tatooine, when you were in the Imperial Academy? Correct me if I'm wrong?
Indeed, blasting all these droids
I cant be the only person who thinks this sounds exactly like the Pinky and the Brain theme
I would always march the atst in sync to the beat.
