  • Today we needed to clear our the pasture inside of the farrowing barn pens. We have been getting a bunch of rain which has made it difficult to mow but easy for grass to grow. Piglets are growing great and we need to get them locked in the barn in order to take fencing down so we can mow!

I am in love with all those piglets! I have a question, if you don't mind...I have 2 gilt Kunes and a young Kune boar. He will be a year old in August. My gilts were a year old in April. I am planning to breed them. I hear different things, but how old are your pigs when they are bred for the first time? Do you recommend keeping them separated, or just let nature take it's course when the time is right? Some have told me that they will develop a brother/sister relationship if kept together and possibly won't breed. I've heard other people say differently. Thank you so much and I watch all of your videos! What an awesome and funny breed of pigs to raise!
