  • In this weeks video we look at my new QRP go kit.
I still need to add a antenna for 2/70 .
I'm using my 2/70 antenna from my yaesu ft817 but would like a better antenna as its not good on 70cm(SWR is to high)

I have this set up, there are lots of hidden ducts and pockets on the rucksack that help feed cables through to allow you to keep everything tidy. Happy to show you how mine is set up on a WhatsApp call if you’d like.

I also own that backpack, it's a mix between love and hate! the side plate is used to house a vertical antenna directly on the backpack, very convenient. the backpack itself, I don't know, it didn't convince me 100%, I often take the equipment I need and put it in a normal backpack and it seems to me that they have more capacity.

@0:25 that mounting on the side is for an antenna mount. Like the comet lip mount or you drill a mirror mount L plate into it.

I use one of those foldable tactical dual band antennas, they have good swr on both bands without a conterpois!
