I used to make ouds, and Simon played a couple of mine over the years, and I think the current rosette in this oud was cut by me maybe 15 years ago. Hi Najib! Good to hear from you. I took that video myself. I don't remember the exact date, my original file says March 2004, somewhere in Minneapolis. Simon was giving some lessons the following day (I took a lesson too.) I think Tim O'Keefe set this up. It was a great night. First time I met Simon, and he played my first oud that night. This taqasim blew me away and still does. Hope you and Simon are doing well.
