I raised two peafowl (peacock and peahen) you'll need to keep the peafowl off of the ground as there can also be diseases that other fowl can't catch, but they can. Keep them off the ground for 6 months, there's also some things you can add to their water to give them an even better chance, but mainly just keep them off the ground! Hope it helps in the third try!

Another thing u can do for any foul.
Get a shallow pan a litter pan works great.
Fill half full with diatomatious earth. Set in coops or pens. Theyll do the rest with a dust bath. They love it. And they carry it into the nest boxes and coops too.

It was so cute to see Isaiah help feeding & milking the cow. He also seems very interested in what’s happening in-&-out of the incubator. Uriah has always been intrigued by the happenings on the farm but as he gets older he wants to be more involved.
Hope everyone is doing well. Cheers, Doc❤

I've got 8 peafowl eggs hatching in 7 days. We shall see. Peafowl are like Ratites in that they are super fragile and prone to high death rates until they are a few months old. Plus they only lay once a year. Much more involved and difficult than the chickens.

We have fixed the curled toe issue with 2 chicks, both much worse than this one. One we bought not knowing it had a problem the other was given to us because the breader had heard we had fixed the problem before. One was a Cochin the other dorking. Because we didn't bread either of them we received them and started treatment at 4 weeks. My husband did the treatment. He made a custom boot for the effected feet or foot and attached it with elasterplast, which is like a fabric bandaid. He would than do phyo on the toes to encourage correct movement every day. He would remove the boot every second day and make adjustments or a new boot as the foot grew. Both chicks ended up walking normally, the toes never looked exactly normal but the improvement was great and it allowed them to have a normal life the the flock. Good luck with your chickies.

I have been taking care of peacocks for lots of years, and i do have to say that chickens are not the best to use when taking care of peachicks. (I originally found your channel when looking through yt one day and saw your constant posts about peacocks.)
Worms give peacocks diseases, and what i saw is that the same reactions seemed to be happening (as per blackheads disease) the best way to keep them from dying is havung a peacoxks parent, giving them earwigs or beetles (junebugs, japanese beetles) Peachicks are able to die of stress if left alone too long. Peacocks are a type if bird that usually hatch a day before schedule, and siblings are much needed. (Peachicks can fly within a week or 2.)
Alas, i hope you found this post helpful, or do find this post at all, and if you have any further questions just reply and i can give you my e-mail and i can guide you through the steps and care needed for the peachicks

    Never bathe a broody hen.
We here use bathing to end the broodiness of a hen.
So definitely not a good idea to do that just before giving her the eggs.

Heyy Jake. I raise peacocks and I struggle my first year too but I recommend to keep them in the brooder until they are at least 3-4 months old and constantly be cleaning their area and I wouldn’t recommend to put flakes on the bottom they are known to eat them. I will put some hay and keep them on probiotics in there water to keep them healthy

I've owned chickens, ducks and guineas for years but never incubated eggs. Not even letting a broody hen.

    Happy Fathers Day Jake!
When I was in Texas, staying at a hotel near Austin, I kept hearing what I thought were cats meowing outside our window, in the parking lot. Turned out to be 6 peacocks. (They’d roam from the nearby farm) Never realized how closely their calls are to cats until then 😂
Lots of luck with these ones! Looking forward to seeing them in the aviary! Any estimate on when it’ll be ready for them? Been watching for so many years now, I can’t wait! 🎉

I just finished my 7th batch of chicks in a 16 egg, budget Amazon incubator and I have learned a lot about the process. I am ashamed to say that I killed several baby chicks because I opened the incubator during lock down so my friend's little girl could see the chickens hatch! 😭😫 3 looked shrink wrapped by the membrane, 9 others hatched...I am so mad at myself! My chickens lay such big eggs that I can only put 12 or 14 in at a time and every other time I have gotten between 7 and 11 to hatch and never had any get shrink wrapped. The other times, I set it up and the only time I opened it was on lock down day...I have learned my lesson...the hard way.
