I was laughing hard at the running gag of the movie. In the beginning the character Dante freaks out when he sees a Southern flag on a house. But there's also a very prominent statue of a Southern general on a horse at the town's center and everyone's taking selfies with it and no one cares! Priceless!😆

I'm probably in the minority here but I actually didn't mind the character of Melody. She starts off as a snooty jerk but clearly has a conscious and showed remorse for what was happening. Because of that the ending kinda bummed me out. Her sister is now left with even more trauma after seeing what happened. Sally also felt completely wasted. It made no sense to bring her back just to do what they did to her. Her arc is basically everything Laurie Strode goes through in Halloween 2018 and Halloween Kills, ironically. Mike's right. The main characters are woke but it's not a particularly woke narrative. It's also good to see reviewers not just looking for the negatives. I hear people saying "It's trying to be Halloween" as using that legacy character troupe immediately makes it terrible or unwatchable. Are these people even TCM fans if they can't enjoy the positive aspects? For example: seeing Leatherface dismember an entire bus of people.
Leatherface certainly surprised me. I don't know what it was but for some reason in the previews LF looked kinda frail. But it was great to see another hulking bad ass Leatherface like the '03 remake. Funny you guys mentioned some of the parts that were like WTF with the mask staying on, people not running past LF while his back was turned, and Sally that I called bullshit. But overall I liked the different style that while had the same feel didn't just try to copy the original. It gave a genuine look of a future time again keeping that same classic feel of the TCM universe.
It’s so funny you guys brought up the mask, because I kept wondering how it was staying on. Lastly, the guy from the remake and The Beginning is named Andrew Bryniarski (pronounced bruh-nair-skee).
Was that the old farm house if so it looked some one was living at it did you see them tractors it could actually be that dude who was washing them windows on the. Van in 1974 movie he could actually still be alive
I would reveal that franklin is still alive and have him be the one who is trying to get revenge and everytime he tries to attack Leatherface, leather face just redirects his wheel chair to roll in a different direction
Leaving it vague of how he ended in the orphanage I found actually easy to understand. They said he was never caught so he probably stopped killing. His family died of old age and he was left behind as he was the big child of the family. Then through being alone he ended up in the orphanage where the women living there figure out who he was and decided to protect the outside world from him. Until he was unleashed.
@@MichaelMyers-pj2uk I don't know. I don't really see someone thier age doing at least what leatheface did. No matter where they are from. @@joshkennedy2868 lol I was making a point that you clearly failed to get by you’re statement and it also shows you really lack intelligence. I guess you don’t go outside much.
This movie pissed me off so bad, none of it made sense. No explanation to how he got there and the tie in the the orphanage. Also characters get badly wounded and then they are fine in the next scene. And leatherface is apparently immortal now. And the fact Sally nor the new characters got any justice for what they went through was a hard F you.
I just finished it with my buddy and we had fun with it! You two are right though you just got to get past the first few minutes and then it’s a good time. Mike you were definitely right about the eyebrow girl. But the very end made up for it 😂. I just don’t know how to feel about the mask, it did look like it had ear holes to keep it attached to his face, but I just don’t think it looked good. But I’m not a big leather face fan so who knows!
This movie is right below the 2003 remake. I love what they focused on which was Leatherface being brutal and continuing his story. As it focuses less on the characters in return for a lean paced rollercoaster ride. It falls right in line with Fede Alvarez’s EVIL DEAD remake. Only major problem I had was the return of Sally as her character makes some of the dumbest decisions and acts very stupid when she is considered as a cop. To get that position you would have to be smart. She let him walk or do something when in reality someone would just start pumping him full of lead immediately. The other characters all were fine to good and fit what they needed to do. other than that, I enjoyed the hell out of it 8/10.
I went into the new movie with very low expectations, I was honestly kind of bummed from the trailer a bit, but I ended up liking it so much more than I thought! Prob because of the low expectations lol but I thought it was really fun to watch & Leatherface was terrifying! I do wish they did more to connect the storyline to the original, I felt like it was a bit rushed & didn’t really have much to do with 74, but I feel like as a modern day slasher it was great. I’m looking forward to seeing where they take the franchise next! I really hope they do another movie or two with this story & not just another stand alone remake. Definitely one of my fav sequels! I hope they do a physical release for it 😍
It had potential to be a standout horror film. There were points that separated itself from other horror but then Cliches they took overboard. Overall it was mixed bag.
The gore in this one was fun as hell. People being chainsawed in half, impaled with their own arm and an actual proper chainsaw massacre! Bring on the sequel
Wow I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would the actor they had play leatherface was awesome the kills were amazing the bus scene holy shit 👏 8/10 👍
31:22 Hi, guys! Regarding that rumor, that's been proven false for some time now. I work at Chuck E. Cheese and we have a motto in the kitchen: "If it's not a 10, make it again". The reasoning for why the pizzas kinda look wonky is because there's sometimes a mishap during cutting. Even then, if we were reusing slices, we'd have to put them back through the oven and they'd get burnt when they come out 😂 Love your guys' content, keep it up!
@@WeWatchedAMovie You're welcome! I've been asked about that rumor a few times, so when I heard y'all bring it up, I just thought I'd shed some light on it 😅
I liked the movie, fun, not to be taken to seriously, it was a good popcorn movie, free with a Netflix subscription, P.S. Sally Hardesty looked like Darlene Snell from Ozark.
3:55 Shazam is a good use for that with finding a song you love but don't know the song title yet. Had to use it after seeing the 5th episode of Peacemaker for example.
I've got mixed feelings about new TCM. As another simple splatter fest it was okay, nothing spectacular but a competent flick. However as a legacy sequel/requel it felt pretty forced, uninspired and made little sense to me. Also I am kind of disapointed that again they decided to make TCM a full on clished slasher, and not even tried to recapture or emulate what made the original movie iconic and unique
I liked the movie, but the Sally stuff was stupid. "Say my name?" He never HEARD your name. "Say you remember me?" Why the hell WOULD he? You're probably not the first one to run away from his house. The state of the house and the furniture was proof of that. Exactly why did Leatherface walk away from Sally instead of killing her like everyone else? I think she was supposed to be a PARODY of the Laurie Strode thing, which is why the fight was seconds long.
I definitely went in with low expectations, but enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would! I'm with you guys on this, it was entertaining & the kills were so well done. Also, can't lie, I was rooting for Leatherface the entire time. 😂 I felt more sympathetic for him with the way they gave the "mom" story & what happened.. And Lila was the only character I liked aside from Leatherface & I was also disappointed with how they handled Sally.. Such a waste to bring back a character like her & hype it up like it was going to revolve around her getting revenge lol.
I didn't know what to think of it from the previews but I never try to judge or make any assumptions before experiencing the film. I have to say I really enjoyed it a lot. The cinematography, the lighting, colors, and gore was like a bad ass graphic horror comic come to life. As for the story I felt it was ok. I didn't really get that deep into it to see where people saw it as woke. I'll have to watch it again because I didn't see that at all. I mean for as long as horror films have been around it should be known by now that they are artistic and surreal. So a lot of times you'll going to see some things that don't quite make sense or have a perfect story, acting, or whatever.
I really liked it, I felt sally was used horribly. Use they could have used her better or kept her out of it. I definitely want a sequel and dive more into what happened after 74. I didn’t have much expectations because most TCM movies kinda suck but it wasn’t bad just didn’t put enough towards the story
The entire 3rd act was comedy. A few cool kills on the bus but I must've yelled at my TV 6 or 7 times the last 35 minutes of the movie. I paused the movie a few times just to catch my breath from laughing so hard. 5/10 AT BEST
I personally agree with all of your opinions on this movie. It was simple brutal fun, but nothing too great. I'd definitely rewatch just for the kills.
Overall i liked it on first watch. Negatives: i felt the pacing was a bit off at times, Sally has very little screen time, and yes, that's true, not a whole lot of story here. But overall i liked it and think its definitely better than the previous installment and a lot of the movies in this franchise, so yeah, again, casual fan here.
Definately alot better than the last one. The first one is a masterpiece. And all the rest of the movies are atleast watchable to good so that's all I really care about.
This is one of two movies that have no reference to Leatherface's cannibalistic nature. This is a mistake that should have been learned from The Next Generation.
They should’ve never put Final Girl Sally into this movie. The lack of character development made the characters unlikable and their death scenes less impactful. But overall the gore was fantastic and a fun watch.
Just finished watching this on Netflix, and it pretty much gave what was advertised. A fun, no brain slasher movie with some great kills. Though I did feel that they kind of tried to make Sally Hardesty like Laurie Strode-only with less of an impact. That lady wasn't nearly the actress that JLC is.
I really enjoyed the movie just watched it and it was fun of course this film is going to get mixer reviews behave for a Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie that's good. Sally in this movie was all right she wasn't a complete Laurie Strode copy I'm happy to say but it is a little out of character for her. The blood and gore was perfect Leatherface looks cool too, I can buy that's Gunner playing Leatherface again that's how good he was. Overall watch the movie for yourself and make your own opinion for me I really enjoyed it.
Eyebrows lol yeah….the first 10 minutes are hard……loved the John Wick Leatherface moment….and the chainsaw thru the floor reminded of Jaws…like a upside down sharks fin….
I enjoyed it. It’s a fun horror movie on Netflix. It is as advertised… Yes, Twitter and the internet… it is not the best horror film ever. You are right and here’s your participation cookies (num num). Gonna watch it again with the fam tonight.
My thoughts exactly, i have no idea what people even want out of these films anymore 🤷🏻♂️… it’s the ninth installment in a slasher franchise , they got the killer right, the kills right, and didn’t bury the movie with intentional comedic relief … that’s a win for the genre in 2022 imo
Watched it as soon as it dropped I give it a 8.9 they also mentioned San Benito texas and I’m like 5 minutes out of that TCM 22 was satisfying in way Halloween kills wasn’t Edit. Was drunk when I watched it rewatched it twice still like it but it’s full of plot holes and it seems more like a sequel to the 2000s reboots then to the original TCM
I’d put this in the same category as halloween kills. The plot was very hit or miss but they got the killer right and the kills were amazing IMO. As far as the mask staying in place, it looks like he tucks it behind his ears sort of like an N95 mask strap when he puts it on. But I could be wrong
Little nitpick, but the last name changes throughout the franchise. There’s no last name in the first two, it’s “Sawyer” in the third one, “Slaughter” in the fourth one, “Hewitt” in the remake/the beginning, back to “Sawyer” in “Chainsaw”/“Leatherface”(2017) and I guess there’s no last name in this one.
Are we still shitting on an entire slasher film in 2022 simply because the “characters are dumb and illogical” like that’s the whole fucking point most are expendable there specifically to get offed by the killer …. What fun would a slasher movie be if the killer was being outsmarted the entire run time or the characters were so logical they got away from the threat in like 10 minutes … I feel like so many of these gripes are just flat out unreasonable 🤷🏻♂️

I thought the bus scene was just a blood bath slicing and dicing people with his chainsaw damn one of my favourite parts of this movie.
Pleasantly impressed with TCM 2022...the gore was awesome...some pretty good jump scares..and finally an actual massacre ❤️❤️
The first 10 minutes sucked but, I thought the rest was great!
My god
I wonder how many people turned it off thinking that the movie agreed with its characters
I think that was the only part looking to be kinda like the original with the slow start.
It’s so funny you guys brought up the mask, because I kept wondering how it was staying on. Lastly, the guy from the remake and The Beginning is named Andrew Bryniarski (pronounced bruh-nair-skee).
I don't know how I feel about it yet and I don't like Sally in this she's literally lauire strode from 2018 and her death scene was just eye rolling
Without spoiling the ending or the end credits, this clearly isn’t over. The end credits specifically really enforce a sequel.
And I'm for it!
Was that the old farm house if so it looked some one was living at it did you see them tractors it could actually be that dude who was washing them windows on the. Van in 1974 movie he could actually still be alive
Clown
I would reveal that franklin is still alive and have him be the one who is trying to get revenge and everytime he tries to attack Leatherface, leather face just redirects his wheel chair to roll in a different direction
Great review boys!!! thanks for another fun time....
Thanks for hangin!
I think it's definitely super vague but would be easily explained if they decided to
Man Leatheface and Sally were getting around pretty good for being like 80. People involved with this series obviously don't realize how time works.
There in there mid 70s and if you have seen people and farmers in Texas it actually isn’t that far fetched
@@MichaelMyers-pj2uk I don't know. I don't really see someone thier age doing at least what leatheface did. No matter where they are from. I find that amusing you just assume he could do it because he is from Texas. Like that makes him special or something. Movie would have been better if it took place 25 years ago.
@@joshkennedy2868 lol I was making a point that you clearly failed to get by you’re statement and it also shows you really lack intelligence. I guess you don’t go outside much.
That bus scene was atrocious imo!!
Fede Alvarez is damn genius. Great reboot man!
When you guys gonna be doing videos in person again?
I was gonna be so pissed if that last scene didn't happen dude!
I love how you guys randomly started talking about chuck e cheese pizza
That's waht we do best my friend. ADD!
I hope they do a physical release for it 😍
Y’all talking about woodys in Winchester, Ky?!
Yep lol
Lmao Js drunken birthday story at the end was funny.
Google said I don't fucken know but its badass.... im dying 😂😂🤣🤣
For a spoiler free review, it was very spoiler filled!
Wow I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would the actor they had play leatherface was awesome the kills were amazing the bus scene holy shit 👏 8/10 👍
I liked it too, which surprised me because I shouldn’t have liked but goddamn it I did!

Hi, guys! Regarding that rumor, that's been proven false for some time now. I work at Chuck E. Cheese and we have a motto in the kitchen: "If it's not a 10, make it again". The reasoning for why the pizzas kinda look wonky is because there's sometimes a mishap during cutting. Even then, if we were reusing slices, we'd have to put them back through the oven and they'd get burnt when they come out 😂
Love your guys' content, keep it up!
Glad to hear it pooks! Thanks for the info!
@@WeWatchedAMovie You're welcome! I've been asked about that rumor a few times, so when I heard y'all bring it up, I just thought I'd shed some light on it 😅
I liked the movie, fun, not to be taken to seriously, it was a good popcorn movie, free with a Netflix subscription,
P.S. Sally Hardesty looked like Darlene Snell from Ozark.
I thought it was great!
Also I am kind of disapointed that again they decided to make TCM a full on clished slasher, and not even tried to recapture or emulate what made the original movie iconic and unique
you guys gotta review peacemaker
I think with this movie is like the better cut of Texas Chainsaw 3D while it gave off Halloween 2018/Don't Breathe vibes.
Haven’t watched the movie yet, but if you find that song please reply my man!! I already know it will be awesome 😂😂
I think she was supposed to be a PARODY of the Laurie Strode thing, which is why the fight was seconds long.
by far the best Texas Hammer Massacre movie!!
Colin Stetson is the guy who made the soundtrack and hereditary. He's goes crazy with the saxophone.
I really liked it, I felt sally was used horribly. Use they could have used her better or kept her out of it. I definitely want a sequel and dive more into what happened after 74. I didn’t have much expectations because most TCM movies kinda suck but it wasn’t bad just didn’t put enough towards the story
I really think J has some childhood trauma about having his cheeks taped together??? I felt the venom 😂
That is a road I don't want to go down lol
@@williamgregg6339 the remake is still the best for me!
@@my3rs307 - I really like that one.
THE WHOLE THING SEEMED LIKE THEY GOT THEIR IDEA FROM HALLOWEEN 2018
TCM74, TCM03, TCM2022 and TCM The Beginning are the best in the franchise... The rest are shite
What about Texas Chainsaw 2 😔
Agree
The ending was dope
I cringed seeing leather face take shotgun blasts like the terminator. This is definitely not the same leather face from 1974
Gonna watch this today. Looks way better than the last 2😂
This is one of two movies that have no reference to Leatherface's cannibalistic nature. This is a mistake that should have been learned from The Next Generation.
They should’ve never put Final Girl Sally into this movie. The lack of character development made the characters unlikable and their death scenes less impactful. But overall the gore was fantastic and a fun watch.
Agreed, that should have been an easy edit out!
I liked the movie . The kills were good, leatherface was awesome , it was different but good .
Same
Omg 😳 that shot to the knee cap was brutal
Damn forgot about that one! Whoowhee!
Ight I gotta answer it for y’all the mask wrapped around the ears like a medical mask you can see loops where the persons ears woulda been
Eyebrows lol yeah….the first 10 minutes are hard……loved the John Wick Leatherface moment….and the chainsaw thru the floor reminded of Jaws…like a upside down sharks fin….
I'm usually good to be hard for about 10 minutes as well
@@WeWatchedAMovie lmao
I never wanted to see main characters die as I did them leather face is the hero of this movie
Haven't watched it yet but wife and kids plan on watching it with me tonight
I enjoyed it. It’s a fun horror movie on Netflix. It is as advertised… Yes, Twitter and the internet… it is not the best horror film ever. You are right and here’s your participation cookies (num num). Gonna watch it again with the fam tonight.
My thoughts exactly, i have no idea what people even want out of these films anymore 🤷🏻♂️… it’s the ninth installment in a slasher franchise , they got the killer right, the kills right, and didn’t bury the movie with intentional comedic relief … that’s a win for the genre in 2022 imo
Watched it as soon as it dropped I give it a 8.9 they also mentioned San Benito texas and I’m like 5 minutes out of that TCM 22 was satisfying in way Halloween kills wasn’t
Edit. Was drunk when I watched it rewatched it twice still like it but it’s full of plot holes and it seems more like a sequel to the 2000s reboots then to the original TCM
Why didn’t you do Texas chainsaw 2013
I still am!
I’d put this in the same category as halloween kills. The plot was very hit or miss but they got the killer right and the kills were amazing IMO. As far as the mask staying in place, it looks like he tucks it behind his ears sort of like an N95 mask strap when he puts it on. But I could be wrong
Right on both counts my friend!
@@WeWatchedAMovie 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Little nitpick, but the last name changes throughout the franchise. There’s no last name in the first two, it’s “Sawyer” in the third one, “Slaughter” in the fourth one, “Hewitt” in the remake/the beginning, back to “Sawyer” in “Chainsaw”/“Leatherface”(2017) and I guess there’s no last name in this one.
I don't know why they make the easy shit so confusing lol
@@WeWatchedAMovie Yeah, and I guess he’s just back to plain “Leatherface” in the new one. 🤷🏼♂️
I liked it more than most of the 2000s remakes/sequels
Are we still shitting on an entire slasher film in 2022 simply because the “characters are dumb and illogical” like that’s the whole fucking point most are expendable there specifically to get offed by the killer …. What fun would a slasher movie be if the killer was being outsmarted the entire run time or the characters were so logical they got away from the threat in like 10 minutes … I feel like so many of these gripes are just flat out unreasonable 🤷🏻♂️
Most people that complain about slasher films would not survive in slasher films cause they are dumb
