One thing that I hate about this video is that when a explosive hits that close to a nuclear warhead goes off almost 100% past 99.998665 person of the time the fact that those 2000 lb jadams hit the nuclear warheads and the WarHeads did not go off is something that needs to be checked out and changed because during the operation plumb bob in the US we tested if we could throw explosives at a nuclear warhead by the Soviet Union and in fact every single time the warhead wood and always go off
The other guy was more afraid of his own GBAD than GS. A lethal mistake in this particular instance, but generally a healthy train of thought if the NK GBAD is as "proficient and vigilant" as the Russian GBAD.....
This scenario is entirely possible. Back in the day, I spent 3 winters at Osan AB and the 51st Mustangs had NK tasking if the balloon went up. Those SSBMs were a definite threat. So were the SA-5s. Whenever I took off out of Osan, I was immediately locked up by the Pyongyang SA-5 site and the NKs played with me for 9 hours. God help them if they ever launched. Here's what happens when you launch on a U-2. Post Gulf War I, Iraq had the poor judgement to optically launch on one of my brothers. He got a detonation shock wave bump from the missile but took no damage. That SA-2 site was wiped off the face of the Earth the next day by a massive multi-platform strike. Think B-1s, B-52s, F-16s, MudHens, and F-18s. Iraq definitely got the message not to F with the DragonLady. We flew Alone, Unarmed, and Scared Shitless, but we had a whole lot of backup from those other most deadly platforms. I still owe the F-15 CAP drivers beer from their response when I got engaged by a MiG 29 and 3 Mirage F1s during GW I. Fun times!!! Keep up the OUTSTANDING effort GS. Sierra Hotel

@@status_-_ "If I went out and fought an F/A-18 on day one I’d get destroyed," said Flatley. "But if you do what the jet is really good at, you can do things those other jets wouldn’t dream of." He said that it flys like or better than a Hornet.
I absolutely love the multi-role videos using the F-16! I’d really like to see how the F-35 does when compared to the F-16, in the same mission. One using the F-16 and one using the F-35. Thanks GS!
8:47 The canopy was off, But the pilot's seat didn't eject... Looks like he went down with plane and died horribly (Or he already dead at the missile impact)...

I remember watching an old documentary about air power, where an American pilot was saying that an f-16 or f-18 can do it all in one mission: “we can fly in, neutralize the enemy fighters, kill the enemy SAMs and then bomb the target” Then they had on a British pilot who said basically “well that sounds great but it assumes a quite pathetic enemy” That sums up how I feel about this… it makes for a cool video, but in reality? Not happening.
This is an idea, however i don''t know for sure if you've done this already or will, but, maybe make a video where you show how you get those amazing cinematic shots, i would love to see how it's done!
I have a suggestion, make a scenario where you only have fox 2 missiles and the enemy have fox 3. You need to get close enough to kill him with the close range missiles. Pick whatever fightes you want.
Question though, there was an airport close enough to the silos, why didn't they scramble more Migs to protect the target? Exfiltrating with just one Amraam left might have been more challenging if there were a couple more Migs on the hunt. (In a scenario where they could scramble more, would you have had a wingman for this mission?)
Hmm, is it "safe" to take out nuke silos like that? Is there possibility of nuclear explosion / fallout or do certain conditions have to be met for that?
Will an RX-77 go pit bull on a "friendly"? I'm curious if you were to hide under say, a TU22 while in an F-22 could you entice a MIG-29 to fire back at you you and have that missal take out the TU? I of course am thinking of your famous hide under transports trick and shoot down enemies from behind. Just curious if it is possible...
Do large missiles like SA-2 actually provide a decent threat against a manoeuvring target? I read they were pretty deadly in Vietnam but many aircraft weren't equipped with RWR at the time so i'm not sure how they would compete nowadays
I'm curious. If the hatches on the silos were closed could they resist a direct impact from a 2000lb JDAM? Would it destroy the silo or at least render them non-functional?
ah yes, I remember playing Falcon 4.0 (FF2) ... you guys are too young to remember but when DCS came out it was nothing but a worm against Falcon 4.0 and its community
hi, that is just part of the livery I believe, you can only change the window tint from the inside from the settings. on the outside it depends on the skin you choose. some have tinted glass, others do not.
@@GrowlingSidewinder ok thanks!, i'll try it out, also, wonder if there's a mission for the mig-29 to show how good it is, maybe you can make a video of it?
Seems kind of strange that a missile would be sticking halfway out of the silo like that. Even if it was for maintenance wouldn't they need to have some support equipment to access/retrieve the missile?
I’ll take a viper over f-22 everyday because its just 80s n 90s badass, and because both fictional and real Chappy are badass. Harms and weaseling is the most fun!
Do NK fighters possess R77’s? Or only SARH R-27’s and such? Neither of those MIGs had ARH missiles. I’m assuming because it would make the video 40 minutes long because you’d have to fight them at range before finally completing the mission.
