How did you feed the wires back? Did you first cut off the front connector ? and after the coupler was attached, did you feed the wires back up to the front coupler and then re-attach/rewire the connector?
Next time , just drill both sets of holes by drilling all the way thru both sides lol. You were already using the mount as a template so all u had to do was drill straight.

why didn't they make 4 long bolts? Looked like there would have been room for wires.
Probably so that the bolts don't crush the hinge / tube.

Unfortunately, drilling all the way thru does not guarantee that the bottom holes will be in the correct location

Steeevo 01 Pretty sure the link you posted extended to tongue. The whole purpose of the Fulton gadget is to shorten for storage.
