I've learned a lot about designer jeans these past few weeks thanks to these videos. Just put a name in front of Jeans and you got the next brand, it seems! The Cobra logo looks like the one for Sega so there's that.
I’m 63, never visited New York City until April 2023, loved it, don’t know what took me so long! Weekend Jam seemed like a modern day Laugh -In …, don’t remember seeing it though…( oh , see from your description that it was not picked up ) Designer Jeans ads in ‘79 - a preview of the 80’s !
Tickle Antiperspirant- With the way the packaging of this antiperspirant is designed, it sure would live up to its name when someone applies it to their underarms. Dr. Pepper- Interesting idea to include Fred Flinstone in this commercial, even though I have no idea what he has to do with Dr. Pepper.
#12 (4:28) That's correct. He was a longtime spokesman for them and came back for some newer commercials in the early 2010s. He got into the winery business in Sonoma Valley in 1989 and still runs it.
Tickle Antiperspirant-with Connie Selleca Eveready Batteries-still no one was brave enough to knock any off of Robert's shoulder Studio 54 Jeans-if you wore a pair then you were good enough to get in the club of the same name Cobra Shoes-manufactured by Extensive Enterprises
9:49 - I know this woman was told by the director that she was disappointed with her hair, but I think she took the job too seriously. She seems downright depressed about the greasies.
If a conditioner is too heavy, it can weigh the hair down, which gives it the appearance of being overly oily. Those are "the greasies." Some hair takes heavier conditioners better than others. It all depends on what kind of hair you have (fine, thick, coarse; straight, wavy, curly, coily).
3:25 - Soda, cigarettes, popsicles, cereal, vitamins…Is there anything that guy won’t endorse?
Back in the 70s he was also a "spokesman" for Rhode Island's Old Stone Bank. "Yabba Dabba Doo! Love that Old Stone Bank!"
Your videos are always great but the quality on this is really amazing. Sound and video are both awesome! Thanks!

6:04 That "zipper" sound effect sounded like an angry duck!
Tech Hi-Fi: We had that exact stereo system and it worked well into the late '90s.
Fred Flintstone kicked his Winstons and Busch fix for Dr. Pepper
Incidental Fred Flintstone!

7:49 RIP James Darren
11:46 (Sung to the "Sega" jingle) "CO-BRAAAA"
Agree smelled really good
Despite Studio 54’s sordid history, it survives today as a Broadway Theater.
0:08 Which ones keeps you dryer?
Tickle...
*Silent with west wind*

The New Muse Community Museum V/O was by Bill McCord.
10:50 - Today in commercials that would not allowed to be aired today ...
More like "wouldn't be made in the first place" because times and attitudes are different, which is a normal thing that happens.

9:28 - Why add a laugh off camera to this? He pulls off a banana. Why is this supposed to be funny?
