As a former combat lifesaver trained infantryman, I love what you are doing. I love the high water fording exhaust. Jeep should make that optional on their wranglers and Gladiators. There should be a few of these in every state for first responders.

Being a bit obsessive about dust control in camper shell I feel your pain. There are some 12-volt blower fans on Amazon used for offshore engine compartments to pressurize the engine compartment. The cap on out trucks being closed in its usually lower pressure than the outside pressure traveling down the road allowing dust to be invited in. Pressurize it and dust problem will mostly go away. Keep replacing the rubber seal on the tailgate as required.
A great solution for being able to see out the back window is a camera-driven rear-view mirror. They’re reasonably priced on Amazon, and they work really well. I use one on my JL because the oversized rear tire on the bumper all but blocks the view. That way you can jam the truck bed full and it doesn’t impede your rear view at all.
Awesome progress, this keeps getting better and better. Try the ESI seal kit, which is under 30 bucks. They have directions that show how to use a 1" test strip to figure out the optimal install orientation and position along the bottom so that the seal doesn't end up folding inward and failing.

Good job on the 4:88’s I did that and installed a e-locker for the front of my Gladiator Mojave. I pull a bass boat and an overland trailer and it works well. Love your channel. Keep up the great work

Hi Brad. Well done on presenting this video, you're a pro. With the tailgait leaking dust. I used Self-adhesive Open Cell Foam and it has lasted for years since 2018 and still going strong. It is light and sticks really well. The heavier rubber ones may look better but the lighter material really works and I don't even notice it.

I know a lot of people give you flack for the exhaust because it is very unusual. We've been working on an offroad recovery tow truck for Arkansas Off-Road Recovery. We're doing dual stacks coming out of the headache rack on our truck for this same reason. We have deep crossings in the Ozarks and it's one less thing we have to worry about. Especially with it being a manual truck in case we stall it in a crossing. Now we just need to build a custom snorkel as well.
Man, I absolutely love how this truck is turning out Brad! I really liked the exhaust when I first saw it and just knew there had to be some ties to the military somehow, but I had no idea about those high-fording exhaust on the Humvees and other military vehicles. Awesome integration onto the Gladiator as well as all of the upgrades you've added. I really like that SST topper as well. I wasn't sure how this build would differ from your previous Gladiator build (which I also enjoyed), but this is really coming into it's own with the First Aid theme and I think may be one of the best (and most unique) Gladiators out there when it's all said and done! Looking forward to the next video!

Brad, love what you've done with the power management. You could possibly Cerakote the exhaust pipe below the heat shield. That should help with your heat issue. Although not necessary you could also install a flapper plate at the top of the exhaust stack to keep water, debris, etc from falling down into the pipe.

My recommendation for the battery box: put a second set of USB and socket ports INSIDE the box, and drive all the top-mounted charging stations off the internal ports, as you’ll always want those plugged in, and you can hide those wires, then. And then use the ports you already have for other devices you only plug in occasionally.

I first saw the exhaust and was like why Brad why! Was not a fan until you explained it, makes sense and I get it. Not a fan of the looks, but definitely respect the tribute and functionality! Very unique!
It is great that a vision in mind and paper comes out so well. It has brought awareness of my training in first aid and when I was an EMT to the forefront of preparing.

Smart move with the 4.88 gears. On the 2006 LJ I had I went 4.88s with 35" tires. The rpm at 70mph was almost excatly the same as with the stock tires and gears.
Love the subtle graphics you chose as well as going with the 4.88 gears. You might want to try a V shaped weather strip on the tailgate for a seal. They usually don't compress as much. I am using some Cigs solar panels on my Power wagon and it charges my power bank very well when driving and glues right onto the roof and you don't loose all the solar if it is a bit shaded compared to a glass or fiberglass panel. Awesome clean design on all your mods.
Question about the high water fording exhaust. My understanding is that water inundation through the exhaust isn’t a problem if the engine remains running while the exhaust tip is submerged. Is that wrong? Or is it variable, depending on how long/deep the engine is running in water?
Build is looking great! Personally would love to see the Trail Recon back on the hood possibly in Red with the Topo...I just think the hood looks naked without it...also think that awesome exhaust would look great in black. But all that matters of course is how much you like it.

Great video! Just an idea that I thought of and you probably have also, the truck cap, being made of stainless steel is awesome. Have you thought about painting it white to match the jeep? It would also aid in keeping things cooler in the hot sun that you are exposed to where you are at. Just a thought. Beautiful gladiator by the way.

Looks great Brad! One comment on the view out the back. Look into rear cameras that clip onto your existing rear view mirror. Amazon has several from pretty cheap to more expensive but they all do roughly the same thing. I have one (Promido is the brand) in my Gladiator with the rear camera mounted in the tailgate handle. It works great since I can no longer see with my bed topper.

Hey Brad I had a thought, with the hard cap and a little bit of fiberglass you could remove the rear window and make a pass through so that in theory you could lay a stretcher across it
Brad, I LOVE your channel! Your passion is second to none and that grabs me. And like you said, your Jeep, your exhaust... and YOU love it - after all, it's your circus, your monkeys, ha. I'm a recent retiree after 31 years with the DOD (13 USAF) and tho I'm not a Jeep guy, I learn SO MUCH from many of you. I've got an 11,000 lb overlanding 4-wheel drive dually Sprinter (170 XL no less 🙄) that I've been building from the ground up for a couple of years. And while the large size is great from the inside, it's can be a HUGE negative from the outside when off-roading. Recently, on a solo run in the Tennessee mountains, I got stuck in a river with my exhaust 6" underwater. Believe it or not, my diesel continued to run for almost an hour while I winched myself out. BUT, I'll count my lucky stars, not take them for granted, and look at an exhaust extension much like yours if necessary. Keep it up Brad, THANK YOU for your wonderful ideas, and of course, for your service!😉
You should put Jerry can mounts on each side of the fenders for more of that military truck look with either Jerry gas cans or a couple of tool boxes that look like Jerry cans. I've got an olive drab Jerry can tool box and it comes with a built in lock to lock it up.

Exhaust looks great with that cap! Truly well done! Interested to hear how well the cap latches operate during cold/snow/ice as I’ve heard other leading brands struggle in that department.
I have seen some seats on boats that have a backrest on a pivot from front to back. this allows you to be able to sit in the seat facing the forward or backward direction. If you were able to do something similar with the passenger seat, you could use the back seat area as your stretcher area and the responder/EMT etc.. could sit in the passenger seat facing backward to monitor the patient. I personally could see the ability to transport on a stretcher practical when off-roading for the purpose of short trips to a location where a ambulance is located that could not get all the way to the patient.
I do not care for that type of exhaust, but dang it is done great and looks great ! Your story adds to it . Looking forward to all your videos, but can not wait for the artic circle ones.
Giant loop makes some really nice bladders that one can use for fuel. We have two, and a Jerry can, giving us an extra 60-ish liters of capacity without too much of a hit to space in the gladiator. The bags are also much nicer to fuel the jeep from than our Jerry can.
Beauty build...the power charge wires sticking out rear of power box... easy to hit...maybe ninety degree anything you can and maybe an aluminum bracket over top to protect.
Love the build to date, it really looks incredible. As a former graphics shop owner I was kind of hoping that stripe was reflective to some degree making it easier to spot. Just an idea for the next go round. Keep up the great work!
Oh, absolutely! It's pretty impressive if done correctly. I used to print a lot of reflective vinyl for various service companies and, moreover, various graphics for the local fire department. Looks amazing!

Yep, they work great, put one on my ram. Has front and rear camera, GPS with recoding, incase of accident video doesn't lie.

Brad ! Obviously the JTR looks ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY FANTASTIC !!! I know it's yours but I think the TrailRecon logo looked AWESOME & didn't look over the top to me but to each there own .... ANOTHER great extremely informative video , the exhaust is definitely reminiscent of the older / newer military systems but i don't think i could've put those large holes in my new ride but your happy & your goals were accomplished . On my Tacoma TRD PRO I'm running 4.88 with 31 inch tires! Its just fine at 65mph and has a outstanding crawl ratio!
Hey Brad I had a thought, with the hard cap and a little bit of fiberglass you could remove the rear window and make a pass through so that in theory you could lay a stretcher across it
Brad, I LOVE your channel! Your passion is second to none and that grabs me. And like you said, your Jeep, your exhaust... and YOU love it - after all, it's your circus, your monkeys, ha. I'm a recent retiree after 31 years with the DOD (13 USAF) and tho I'm not a Jeep guy, I learn SO MUCH from many of you. I've got an 11,000 lb overlanding 4-wheel drive dually Sprinter (170 XL no less 🙄) that I've been building from the ground up for a couple of years. And while the large size is great from the inside, it's can be a HUGE negative from the outside when off-roading. Recently, on a solo run in the Tennessee mountains, I got stuck in a river with my exhaust 6" underwater. Believe it or not, my diesel continued to run for almost an hour while I winched myself out. BUT, I'll count my lucky stars, not take them for granted, and look at an exhaust extension much like yours if necessary. Keep it up Brad, THANK YOU for your wonderful ideas, and of course, for your service!😉

You should put Jerry can mounts on each side of the fenders for more of that military truck look with either Jerry gas cans or a couple of tool boxes that look like Jerry cans. I've got an olive drab Jerry can tool box and it comes with a built in lock to lock it up.

Exhaust looks great with that cap! Truly well done! Interested to hear how well the cap latches operate during cold/snow/ice as I’ve heard other leading brands struggle in that department.

I love your concept as a truck driver I would love to have stacks on my Jeep. Question does it conform to California smog rigs.
I have seen some seats on boats that have a backrest on a pivot from front to back. this allows you to be able to sit in the seat facing the forward or backward direction. If you were able to do something similar with the passenger seat, you could use the back seat area as your stretcher area and the responder/EMT etc.. could sit in the passenger seat facing backward to monitor the patient.
I personally could see the ability to transport on a stretcher practical when off-roading for the purpose of short trips to a location where a ambulance is located that could not get all the way to the patient.

I do not care for that type of exhaust, but dang it is done great and looks great ! Your story adds to it . Looking forward to all your videos, but can not wait for the artic circle ones.
Giant loop makes some really nice bladders that one can use for fuel. We have two, and a Jerry can, giving us an extra 60-ish liters of capacity without too much of a hit to space in the gladiator. The bags are also much nicer to fuel the jeep from than our Jerry can.
Beauty build...the power charge wires sticking out rear of power box... easy to hit...maybe ninety degree anything you can and maybe an aluminum bracket over top to protect.
Love the build to date, it really looks incredible. As a former graphics shop owner I was kind of hoping that stripe was reflective to some degree making it easier to spot. Just an idea for the next go round. Keep up the great work!

Oh, absolutely! It's pretty impressive if done correctly. I used to print a lot of reflective vinyl for various service companies and, moreover, various graphics for the local fire department. Looks amazing!
I feel u on the tailgate seal I'm going to try a rubber strip that folds from the box to tailgate....
A titanium tip would be super cool at the top of the exhaust, and it turns a pretty purple-ish blue after it gets hot.
