- The old military vehicles had high water fording exhaust on their vehicles, can that be implenebted on a Jeep Gladiator? In this video I share with you several of the latest upgrades and modifications I've done to the Trail Aid Station to include regearing, vinyl decals, the new Overland Vehicles Systems Expedition truck bed cap, a new Redarc battery management system and my totally custom Magnaflow deep water crossing exhaust.

I think your audio was mono, not getting left channel on this video, just FYI, love the channel!
yeah i just started it and thought my left air-pod was dead
@@asaleemeadows LOL me too... like WUT?
Sorry about that guys.... mic technical error I should have checked with headphones before uploading.
I was wondering, too. Wouldn’t be the first time a had an air pod decide not to work, but I’ve never had one go out in the transition from one video to another.
I noticed that on the eastern Jeep safari video too
As a soon-to-be retired Army Flight Paramedic, I absolutely love the concept of this build and may integrate some of your ideas into my own. Love the content!
Thanks for your service and best of luck on your upcoming retirement!
Excellent 👍 I'm a retired Aircraft Mechanic on the old 141s and C5s out at Travis, my plate is a Veteran Plate that says "MECH" on it 🤘😎
Sourdough campground in. Tok Alaska had a wash rack enjoy your trip
A great solution for being able to see out the back window is a camera-driven rear-view mirror. They’re reasonably priced on Amazon, and they work really well. I use one on my JL because the oversized rear tire on the bumper all but blocks the view. That way you can jam the truck bed full and it doesn’t impede your rear view at all.
Yep, they work great, put one on my ram. Has front and rear camera, GPS with recoding, incase of accident video doesn't lie.
As a former combat lifesaver trained infantryman, I love what you are doing. I love the high water fording exhaust. Jeep should make that optional on their wranglers and Gladiators. There should be a few of these in every state for first responders.
*11Bravo with CLS cert/training.
There, I fixed it for you.
@travelinman482 Not everyone knows what that means. That's why I said it like I did.

Ah, understood.
“Combat lifetakers” we call them. Former 11b1p here. Sadly just usually a new guy who got stuck with extra gear to carry when doc needs it.
@starrskreamgaming we were all combat life saver certified by my 3rd deployment. Not extra equipment for doc either.
My recommendation for the battery box: put a second set of USB and socket ports INSIDE the box, and drive all the top-mounted charging stations off the internal ports, as you’ll always want those plugged in, and you can hide those wires, then. And then use the ports you already have for other devices you only plug in occasionally.
Your dedication to the military, our country, and military families is so admirable. Not to mention your medical training and wanting to give back to all of us. Thank you, Brad.
Being a bit obsessive about dust control in camper shell I feel your pain. There are some 12-volt blower fans on Amazon used for offshore engine compartments to pressurize the engine compartment. The cap on out trucks being closed in its usually lower pressure than the outside pressure traveling down the road allowing dust to be invited in. Pressurize it and dust problem will mostly go away. Keep replacing the rubber seal on the tailgate as required.
This guy gets new jeeps more often than I do oil changes. 😮
😂😂😂😂
His Biggest mistake is taking a Jeep...🤔🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭
That’s AWESOME! Please tell Magnaflow to make that a commercial product!
Oh man that exhaust is so rad! I always keep a first aid kit in my truck. Great content as always, much love from Texas!
Right on!
Hey I'm in Texas too.
It's crazy awesome Brad. Your smile and enthusiasm is all that matters. Good luck with your upcoming trip.
great update, Brad. excited to watch the buildout and your upcoming trip.
Brad I love how Doc is turning out. And it looks like your having even more fun while your building it out. Your gonna love Alaska driving Doc.
Thank you! I wont actually be hitting Alaska this trip, going up through the Yukon to the Northwest Territory in Canada.
@@TrailRecon You'll love the Yukon.
Awesome video as always Brad. Your Gladiator is an awesome overlanding rig. And thank you for your service.
Wow, that exhaust would look really cool on a 4-door Jeep Rubicon!
Love how the build is coming along. I have had first aid kits in my vehicles for almost 50 years.
My right ear enjoyed this
It is fun to watch the problem solving, thank you!
It is great that a vision in mind and paper comes out so well.
It has brought awareness of my training in first aid and when I was an EMT to the forefront of preparing.
Man that exhaust is awesome! Love this whole project!
Unique is always the way. Love this. It’s just way more fun to me when people do things out of the ordinary. Well done.
What a unique exhaust! I love this sort of content. Do what you want with your Jeep!
Can hardly wait to see you putting all of this into action!!!
This Jeep looks fantastic, and must drive very well. It looks even better than what you were talking about in your live calls. I can't wait to see Doc out on the trails in real!
love these types of fabrication breakdown vids. Keep it up Brad!
Looks awesome! Great job!
This build is coming out very unique. I love that and am looking forward to your trip.

They keep is awesome what’s even more awesome is seeing you be able to do it your way and enjoy your life to the fullest. That’s the grand prize
I love it Brad, and you are right, it’s your Jeep and you can do what you want. I’ve seen vehicles with exhaust like that traveling around the globe as an Air Force flight engineer. Can’t wait to see more.
The gladiator is looking awesome!!!
Thanks for the video. Hope you and the family are well. Great job. I love your attention to detail.🙏
This jeep is so cool, I love the concept, the graphics, the stainless cap is awesome and the exhaust is really neat. Reminds me of the army!
Build is awesome! Conservative lift and tire combo, then wham! Crazy exhaust, love it!
Brad, you are awesome brotha! Your vision, passion, and intelligence mirror each other in this build. Plus, we all know you are going to use this beast on the trail.
Great video and great build!
I hope our paths cross.
✌️😎👍
I appreciate that!
Just ordered the bed cap, thanks for the mini review on it. Looking forward to it now!
The Gunny is looking forward to fallowing your trip to Alaska. Great job on the Gladiator. Semper Fi Doc!
So many great mods and this build is really getting me excited to make my Gladiator my own. Love the idea around using the foam to keep chargers organized.
Build is coming along great. Decals look awesome Brad, I like the idea of the side exhaust without the stack but get why you have done it. Thanks for sharing.
Well done Brad, that looks really good, and very unique. I like it.
You should be very proud of yourself and everything you have done with this build so far. Exhaust , battery system, and topper are awesome to me.
can not wait for this trip video!!!!
I've been waitin for this video. Heck, I like the exhaust. I think it looks cool and its incredibly unique. Cant wait to see how this vehicle is going to continue to evolve.
Amazing. Good idea. Keep brainstorming
Your rig is amazing sir 🔥🔥🔥
Can’t wait to see it in person 🤙🏽
That exhaust 😍 it’s so badass 👍🏽
Hi Brad, very nice build! Thank you for sharing! 🚗
The video we’ve all been waiting for! Great job man! So awesome
Thank you!
Looks great!
Gladiator is looking Kickass, Brad 👍
Great video Brad. Doc is looking good
What a unique build!! Love it
Trying to keep it different.
Looks awesome Brad! Cant wait for the artic circle content.
I like all your mods Brad. Looking forward to your trip north in it! 👍
Thanks Brad! Will definitely get a first aid kit for my Gladiator. I love your content and great job on the build focusing on function over form. The truck looks all the cooler for it.
I love the commitment to the theme and mission. That OVS topper is now also on my shortlist of options for my Gladiator, the features and price are very competitive.
Love it. Your Gladiator is coming along nicely. Great job, love the tribute and the fact that you are bringing awareness to First Aid.
Thank you very much!
Nice to finely see a snorkel on an exhaust to compliment a snorkel on the front for water crossing 👍
It’s crazy…but I like it! So well executed, too. Chef’s kiss!
You've got the snorkel and the exhaust, just curious if you have lengthened the vent breather hoses yet for the t-case, and diffs?
Wow - the Gladiator is really taking shape! Love all of the mods!
It’s so cool to see you put so much of yourself into this build; and you can see the passion is higher with this one, which really says something!
Can’t wait to see this in action too 👌👊
Thanks a ton!
Looks great on the rig!
Looks awesome
Very cool Brad! I hope Regina is traveling to the artic circle with you. My wife & I like Regina in the videos.
Great video and glad to see this build coming along like it is. Also love the idea of the charging station. I need to incorporate something like this in mine for the same purpose!
Magna flow needs to make this exhaust a kit for sale
So happy to see you with the OVS Cap! I only discovered them recently and I’m very interested to see how it works for you. Can’t wait to see your Alaska trip videos. 😁
I have the Redarc BCDC 1240 powering a 100 AH lithium battery in my Gladiator build and it has never failed me even on our most recent 6 week trip.
To help keep dust out, I use the BedRug with the tailgate coverage.
Awesome auxiliary battery setup brother.
The foam cut outs for your charging station is such a good idea!
Looks great Brad.
Thanks 👍
I bought an RSI Smartcap EVO Sport a couple of months ago. I really enjoy the side access and side bin.
Man, I absolutely love how this truck is turning out Brad! I really liked the exhaust when I first saw it and just knew there had to be some ties to the military somehow, but I had no idea about those high-fording exhaust on the Humvees and other military vehicles. Awesome integration onto the Gladiator as well as all of the upgrades you've added. I really like that SST topper as well. I wasn't sure how this build would differ from your previous Gladiator build (which I also enjoyed), but this is really coming into it's own with the First Aid theme and I think may be one of the best (and most unique) Gladiators out there when it's all said and done! Looking forward to the next video!
Looks good Brad, thank you for sharing. Have a safe trip. Wish we were gone with you. Thank you Don and Donna. In North Idaho.
I would LOVE to do your arctic circle trip! Maybe one day... Doc looks great!
Really like that!
I love it too Brad, it’s great the way you continue to honor your time in the military which brings honor to all your brothers and sisters both veteran and currently serving! Good luck on your trip to the Arctic Circle, I’ll be riding (virtually-shotgun) - as always Semper Fi!
I'm glad your back..A lot of the Group was worried... They were worried and was wondering where you were at and thought something was wrong.. I just told them that you were probably editing a really really good video for us 😂
I was thinking you probably went on that Center force ride or you were wheeling with TSTN ..I did see you with him on his channel.
@TrailRecon this is brilliant! Your battery compartment and the idea for holding battery chargers in place is great and I’m probably going to steal the idea - on a lesser scale - for me. Exhaust system makes complete sense. So much on snorkels for air intake, very little in my experience, discussion about exhaust snorkel. Excellent thinking! Well done!
Awesome progress, this keeps getting better and better. Try the ESI seal kit, which is under 30 bucks. They have directions that show how to use a 1" test strip to figure out the optimal install orientation and position along the bottom so that the seal doesn't end up folding inward and failing.
Brad, I LOVE your channel! Your passion is second to none and that grabs me. And like you said, your Jeep, your exhaust... and YOU love it - after all, it's your circus, your monkeys, ha. I'm a recent retiree after 31 years with the DOD (13 USAF) and tho I'm not a Jeep guy, I learn SO MUCH from many of you. I've got an 11,000 lb overlanding 4-wheel drive dually Sprinter (170 XL no less 🙄) that I've been building from the ground up for a couple of years. And while the large size is great from the inside, it's can be a HUGE negative from the outside when off-roading. Recently, on a solo run in the Tennessee mountains, I got stuck in a river with my exhaust 6" underwater. Believe it or not, my diesel continued to run for almost an hour while I winched myself out. BUT, I'll count my lucky stars, not take them for granted, and look at an exhaust extension much like yours if necessary. Keep it up Brad, THANK YOU for your wonderful ideas, and of course, for your service!😉
Good job on the 4:88’s I did that and installed a e-locker for the front of my Gladiator Mojave. I pull a bass boat and an overland trailer and it works well. Love your channel. Keep up the great work
A titanium tip would be super cool at the top of the exhaust, and it turns a pretty purple-ish blue after it gets hot.
I love it all and anyone who has negative opinions just keep them to yourself. Looking forward to what’s coming Brad!
Love the Red Stripe MC! If you ever decide to go to Patagonia, let me know. That would be a bucket list trip.
Amazing Exhaust pipe is so cool 😎
I think so too!
awesome and outstanding
Excellent solution for the exhaust. I bet this makes it aftermarket offering if your tests work out!
Looks good
misinformation on the internet?? never 😂 Doc looks great!
Hi Brad, great video. I traveled overland from Los Angeles to Prudhoe Bay Alaska in a First Generation Toyota Tacoma. Great adventure, looking forward to the video. Good luck to you.
Pretty cool Jeep video!!! I’ve got 4.88’s w/35’s and love it. I’ve also re-geared a past 4x4 in the 90’s and it worked great. Have a safe/fun trip HMCM.
Brad is styling as always
Former EMT, this rig gets a big like from me as well!
I'd powder coat the exhaust pipe Red to match the stripes. Awesome idea you pulled off and thank you for your service. God bless you and your loved ones 🙏
