WOW! what a difference! I had a computer buttonhole maker on my last Viking but this foot was actually easier for me - your directions once again got me going!
THANK YOU!!!! i couldn't get the auto buttonholer to work. i thought i did everything right. i did, almost. but then you said the magic words: "listen for the click". i went back to the machine. listened for the click and did 3 beautiful buttonholes in nothing flat. Thank You. Thank You.
Thank you!!! I am new to sewing and teaching myself with this machine which I inherited from my grandma. I’m working on making part of my Halloween costume and this helped immensely!
Thank you for all of your awesome videos. The amount of work that has gone into each and everyone of them I can only imagine. As others have said, clear & precise, delivered with enthusiasm which is inspiring. UK
I also followed your instruction on the buttonholes, but it would start and do the left side and would not complete the right side. It would stay in the same place at the end.
Hello & Thanks for the video. I am having a problem!! When i get to the end of the first row of stitches the machine stops . The machine width does not change. It keeps making the same small stitches that pile up and make a big thick pile of stitches. Please reply with HELP!!
Could you expand, please on how to cut button holes without having a fraying after a cut? I think you said you use something on the fabric before you make a cut. Thanks.
I must have some problem that is not discussed here. I have been using this machine to do straight stitch and it works very well. I set up the automatic buttonhole and followed the instructions. The machine does not make a button hole. It does not move the fabric. It makes a large wad of thread in one position. What are you not telling me? What little trick am I missing?
Make sure your feed feed teeth are raised. Also I've noticed for me that if I have the stitch length too low it doesn't feed the fabric, so try to make sure it's somewhere comfortably between 0 and 1. Hope this helps.
Thanks for sharing. I have this machine and my automatic zipper foot does not work properly as it does not feed the fabric through and come back the other way. Also cannot get it to work with thick fabric ( it keeps creating a knot In the fabric. Help much appreciated.
jazzmania1000 have you tried to adjust the presser foot pressure when using thick fabric ? Also try to sew slowly and gently pull ( with your finger so it stay even) the fabric left and right.
How do you line up the buttonholes using the automatic attachment so that all buttonholes on a piece will be the same exact distance from the edge? Is there a marking on it to use as a guide?
Hi, There are not really marks on the buttonhole foot. I would recommend marking the fabric with a fabric marker or a pin. This way all the buttonholes will start in the same place. ~Sara~
I swear you have every video for any machine I search for lol. You’re an angel sent from heaven. Thank you!

Which is the second foot you used?

Who’s the Vona Viking designer brilliant 80
yet one more thank you! (⌒▽⌒)
Why is mine not making the hole part of the button hole lol
Is this a serious question? If it is then you really shouldn’t be using a sewing machine.
