I wrecked mine when I rode home from work the ONE night we actually had good snow this past winter. The roads were untreated since they didn’t expect it to amount to anything. I got a false sense of security riding on the snow and once I hit the ice I had no chance. Getting up was the hard part. No one stopped to help me.

Been there. It’s the worst feeling getting up from a bike crash and no one there to help. Specially if it happened in the middle of the road.

Glad you are on the mend, and it could have happened to anyone. I've had those tires and they make the bike feel very secure, but sand separates you from the pavement and you can lose traction in a heartbeat. It's good to get back in the saddle, and I know after my last accident with a fractured collarbone and brain trauma injury, the first thing I did when the doctor said it was ok was go home and ride. Cautiously, lol.
You battery is a 72v 20Ah unit (AFAIK), and that gives you 1,440 watt hours of energy. 1,440Ah divided by 22 miles is 65.45 watt hours per mile, and that's not very efficient. Things to look at are your tires (those use an extra 150 to 200 watts to maintain the same speed), and your controller programming. If you love those tires and don't want to mess with controller programming, then the next best thing is just adding a second battery. Note that, if you are using a DateX2 or Battery Blender (same thing), then regenerative braking won't work and you may not be able to use field weakening either. Field weakening (AKA top speed overdrive) generates back-EMF voltage spikes when the throttle is released, and that can freak out some controllers if the battery is isolated by a Blender.

this year I got my self into catastrophe twice, once truck driver opened door exactly on my driving like 25 miles and I was getting together for 2 weeks and second time last Monday , I was driving like 30 mph and on side of bicycle lane was parked bicycle on the street lamp and this day was very windy in Amsterdam. So wind blows this bike just under my wheels and I was hitting beton rolling for next 10 meters. I understand your pain , even if you didn't broke any bone body will suffer for long time. We driving everyday so fast and many things can happen without our fault or help.
btw Im happy that both accidents happened on my second ebike and my rx Mojave is still new looking haha.

Hey there! I'm in the works of making a video about the safety gear I wear. I use uglyBROS moto pants (they make them for women too). My helmet survived and didn't even crack. They usually say to replace helmets once you've been in a crash, but my fall was so mild I don't think i need to replace it. My helmet is a Atlas 2 Ruroc but I don't recommend the brand at all. Over priced and cheaply made.

Hi Peter, I'm glad you're doing fine now, brother. I treat sand like ice on the concrete. I'm always aware of sand. it's a good job you were wearing your helmet I had a hip replacement when I was younger and I'm still feeling pain now.
