Mint od Great, it has a lot of good preinstalled stuff. Good for beginners. Personally i use Debian 12 for some reason i dont use forks.. but thats me.
where can I find that amazing desktop background. I know it's lake Bled. But the colors in your bg are amazing.
It's built in to the latest version of Mint. Settings > Backgrounds > Virginia > Slovenia.
I love Linux Mint as it looks like Windows and it is good for steam gaming, even though it is not a Gaming Distro. Many Pod casters use this at the daily driver meaning it is what they use on the main PC. Sometimes you Distro hop into modern system's but it leads to problems because it is in Beta. It in Bios is listed as UBUNTU but it has more software
i hope they will improve rounded corners on windows borders.
Have you tried using Flat-Remix themes? Those themes have rounded corners for most of apps. You can edit the cinnamon.css to round panel corners.

Don't trust that advert. My mint 21.3 w/Cinnamon has its Menu Editor and Panel heavily bugged since...years. Was advised on the forum to upgrade my kernel 5 to 6 and subsequently my i9 9900 became a single core dual thread processor!! Grub only seldom and randomly appears (never with neither shift nor escape) even after editing the /etc/default/grub file and therefore cannot access to the former kernel.Thank you (and bye bye) Mint!
Linux Mint Debian Edition is more stable and works with more hardware out of the box. Linux Mint 21.3 with edge kernel works with most hardware but it is only available in cinnamon Desktop. if you have a AMD laptop and want xfce or mate desktops you might have to install Linux Mint 21.2 and upgrade the kernel then do a distribution upgrade to Mint 21.3 a kernel above 6. Mint 21.x is based on Ubuntu Jammy and there is hardware problems with the kernel 5.15.0-9x. Linux Mint 21.3 ships with the broke kernel. Linux Mint 21.3 (edge) will work but only cinnamon desktop enviroment. MX-23 is a much better version of linux for beginners.
I can use Cinnamon on Arch too. And I have AUR on Arch.
Bro any distro can have AUR with DISTROBOX. Arch is not special.
I've been using Mint for a month now. I don't like it. It's not customizable enough. that Start menu looks even worse than Win11. I'm switching to something suited for KDE soon, probably Debian or Arch.
Debian 12 is way superior
Why is Debian better? Linux Mint is ready out of the box. what about debian? spend a couple of hours setting up?
I also prefer Debian 12, I did an expert install and installed the DE afterwards.
Turely a clean, minimal and stable system. But this route is very barebones, almost like Arch.
Mint is a great Distro for almost everyone, it just works. Debian is not really "better" both are basically the same, if we are talking about LMDE. It comes pre packed with useful stuff, that the enduser don't have to configure themself.
