Hi Marcie, I think that he knew more than “a few phrases”...Bob Geldof told of being with Freddie, and they spoke Irish (Gaeilge) for the whole evening...when he was being interviewed in Brazil he spoke Portuguese. Portugal colonized India, and when Freddie was in boarding school it was one of the languages spoken there, he was indeed the ultimate polymath. I hope that all is well with you Marcie💐
