Man I start my refrigeration journey this week . Been doing residential. Ur videos have given me so much info so that I’m some what ready. God bless people like you
Would have been helpful if you showed how you managed the vacuum and the nitro flow for the braze repairs. Missing some good info here. Thanks for the video.
Another great video. I never have any good luck with pumping systems down. I usually say screw it and recover everything into a good cylinder. Thanks again.
Always watching your videos, thank you they are so instructive, they have been so helpful that ever since I’ve been watching them my troubleshooting has been lot more easier God bless you for taking your time to make them. TKs
You are very knowledgeable and excellent troubleshooting skills. I like that leak detector. Would you recommend it ahead of the fieldpiece models or the h10?
I find theH10 is the most accurate but the Dtek is the most convenient so it’s the one I pull out first. I’ve never used the field piece so I cannot comment on that one
Love your videos usually but this one the box temp findings seem a little off… at first you say you want to achieve SST 42F> 71.6psig (which seems a little high) then at the end of the video the result temps/pressures it doesn’t correlate anywhere close to this.. also you used actual box temp instead of previously the desired box temp.. just wondering why? I would have used for eg desired Box temp 36F - 12F = 24F SST= 47.6psig. Still learning just looking for clarity…
A cap tube is fixed, meaning the pressures won’t drop as the temperature drops. This is why we use desired box temp. A TXV meters the refrigerant into the coil. So as the temperature in the box drops, the pressure will drop with it to attempt to maintain a 10TD and/or superheat.
Yes absolutely need to vacuum, or non condensibles will most likely form in th4 system. The vacuum was done with both the receiver and compressor suction valves front seated. Can’t do a nitrogen test because these valves love to leak, so we use the refrigerant that’s in the System.
🇺🇲💪👍❄️ great informative vid. When ur doing manual pumpdown the tstat needs to b calling so solenoid is energized so all refrigerant is out of low side, correct?
In just a normal pump down, the solenoid valve should be closed (thermostat is not calling for cooling) which will pump out all of the refrigerant between the solenoid and the suction valve on the compressor.
@@REFRIGERATIONKITCHENEQTECH correct but in ur situation u needed the valve energized so all refrigerant would b out of line on both sides of the solenoid valve. Right ? N stopped at receiver
Went to school for this a lifetime ago but never went into the field. Now as an F&B manager / operator error vs mechanical malfunction triage coordinator, enjoy/putting to use and finally figured out the new company phone screenshot fingerbang to email myself your excel troubleshooting spread sheets! Who says old dogs can't learn new tricks! Woof.
@REFRIGERATIONKITCHENEQTECH just start to put out a syllabus for beginners, offer a small price, and watch the classes take off. I would take all the classes, and even seasoned veterans will still take on new equipment. It would even take off if you did a simple singe Class for techs taking their epa 608 exam for that specific type I,II, or III.

First video I watched from you, gotta say your approach on teaching your knowledge is outstanding, you earned my subscription.

He at least mentioned it in the process; if someone new in the trade uses this video as a guide, it could damage the unit.
Exelente teacher , no comparison. God bless and thank you for taking all your valuable time to teach us .
👍🙏
I agree

I don’t have room in my truck for an empty recovery cylinder but it’s a good idea for R22.
You're a good teacher
👍 still learning new stuff everyday
Thank you for taking the time to teach keep up the great videos!!
Very helpful brother👍blessing from Fiji🇫🇯
Excellent find at the solenoid.
👍👍
Another awesome video 👍👍👍
👍👍
Please show complete repair, it would be very helpful
great video. why head pressure ambient + 30 other time it is ambient + 15 what is different?
Depends on what the engineer has it set at, sometime 30F (mostly older equipment) and sometimes 15F (mostly newer equipment)
Very nice.thanks for sharing.

How do you vaccum the side that you replaced the solenoid?
Magnet on the solenoid and vacuum from the compressor suction port.
Awesome explanation

@@REFRIGERATIONKITCHENEQTECH Thanks much
@@REFRIGERATIONKITCHENEQTECHDoes it work for natural gas as well?
No, I use the dtek gas mate for that

No vacuum on the liquid line? Would have to add a process valve. What did you do ?

What is the app or web page you use to troubleshoot?
