The Devil's Blood will be forgotten shortly, to say this guy is the musician of his generation shows how deluded some of you people around these pages really are!
I agree 100%, on a musical level there really isn't anything new or exceptional with this band. Classic rock flavored odes to satan, Ghost does it better and they are all still alive
Selim and Jon both killed themselves through their beliefs in chaosophy and satanism. I think Watain is building up their albums until the final chapter is written and perhap's they are all going to commit suicide during one of their home shows?? If they all believed un the same thing then suicide is inevitable!
There was a buzz a few months back about a documentary on Selim and The Devil's Blood. I'd love to see that but I don't think that particular effort will see completion. Shortly after the announcement a statement was released that none of TDB members had been contacted or asked to do interviews. Im happy that Molassess us making music now but i still crave TDB. I remember when Selim died and all his friends and former bandmates were leaving farewell comments online. One of them mentioned a laptop Selim had with alot of acoustic stuff no one had ever heard. I know he eould have released that stuff had he wanted to but I still wonder. I'm sure it was great.
You, Selim, are BY FAR the most IMPORTANT musician of your generation like Syd Barrett is from his.
