Was lucky to catch TDB in Haarlem in 2012. The opening band couldn't play so I got to see a full set under the influence of psychoactive materials. One of the best shows I've ever seen and Selim was the REAL DEAL. Amazing guitarist, composer, arranger and performer. Still underrated.
I used to work with him at a record store when we were both 18 year old kids. He was a timid, nerdy, friendly guy. You would have never guessed. I used to always put Mariah Carey CD's on. Looking back now that must have felt like torture to him LOL.

i don't think you understand. in the context of an autopsy the "how exactly" IS the cause. as an example i'll use an opioid OD. Blood & urine will be collected & sent out for toxicology report to identify what drugs are present. the opioid-drug is not the cause itself but it is the catalyst. typically the cause will be respiratory depression & cardiac arrest along with listing the substances found. Listing the cause as a "drug overdose" or "suicide" doesn't say anything, worse it's an assumption which an autopsy could rule out entirely. There's a mini-docu interviewing the mother & sister, there's also an interview with the sister in some Dutch newspaper/magazine that might still be out there, but it is in Dutch. *To clarify, in no way am I suggesting SL was murdered or addicted to opioids. Should be obvious but there's a lot of stupid people out there.
