On another note, Ivan is sooooo good that he won a national competition to play with his idols MANA, a Mexican rock group that's been around since the early 90s. What a nice reaction to discover, particularly at this late date. I’m not sure how I missed checking this out earlier Nate. Months after this reaction, it was revealed in an interview of Ivan (by Alan Papier), that he “auditioned” to be Angelina’s guitarist in advance to her move to LA. Ivan said he sent the Astar family samples of his work, and I can absolutely see this song as being part of what earned his spot as Angelina’s LA guitarist. I can easily imagine Angelina smiling as she heard Ivan’s beautiful guitar, thinking “let’s check Ivan out; this guy would be a perfect fit”. Great reaction Nate, I hope you’re doing OK.
