Whenever someone offers to pay more than asking price, I automatically assume it's a scam.
Most of the time it is. They say they are gonna send more than the asking price in hopes you'll pay the difference back with cash app or something

I've kinda done this before. I offered the guy I bought my corvette from more money than he was asking. But I had a good reason for this..... I didn't have all the cash in hand he was asking so I offered him more money if he would take what I had then and let me pay the rest off over the next month. He was asking $10,000 I offered him $10,700 and thank goodness he jumped on it.

I recently sold my old 2004 Ford Focus SVT on Facebook marketplace and this really happened to me. I listed the car for $1000, after lots of offers and arguments between buyers a guy showed up with $2000 and said I'll take it right now.
After he took it I had a few people tell me they would have paid $4000 😑
