Dynasty Trades In 5 is a dynasty trade show that focuses on dynasty fantasy football trade strategy, rookie draft pick values, individual player profiles, etc. For each player we discuss whether or not they are a dynasty trade target for 2022 and 2023, and if we lean sell vs. buy. We also get in depth on the 2022 rookie draft class, the 2023 rookie draft class, and dynasty rookie pick values in general. We don't do dynasty mock drafts yet, but perhaps we will in the future! There are many great resources available to the community, whether it be articles, dynasty trade calculators, trade finders, etc. We try to focus on short form content that is digestible and relevant. I think a lot of people had Ladd over Xavier. I certainly did. It seemed like a lot of draft scouts and fantasy people were really pumping Ladd's stock for the exact reasons that played out. No competition for targets, an improved offense, and excellent route running paired with a good quarterback.

Missing the point though. MOST had Ladd after. Meaning the majority valued worthy more and that’s why he was drafted higher in most leagues
@ the point we were disagreeing with is that it wasn’t no one had Ladd over worthy, there were definitely plenty of people who did even if yes worthy was clear 1.09. Side point- I need someone to explain to me this strategy of just drafting who other people like. People tend to just like whoever is good. Draft good = get who people like… maybe I’m missing something 🤣
That was the worst example to use of all the guys picked ahead of him
Surprised no mention of probably the most valuable asset to come out of last years draft in Brock Bowers at least in TE Premium leagues.
I’m 100% with Shane about paying up for advantages this late in the season. 80% of the season I’m fine scraping by and collecting value but if I have a legit shot to win I’m not going to get too cute and cost myself a title because I wanted to save some picks.
You can probably get some of those assets back later too
Revisionist history is strong in the comment section when it comes to Ladd vs Worthy at draft time. Worthy went higher in every league I was in. Worthy’s ADP on fantasy pros was earlier as well. Ladd also had concerns about going to a run first team, extensive injury history and lackluster production at the college level. To say “most people had Ladd > Worthy” is just straight up not true. If you personally did, good for you but that was definitely not the majority

Agree about waiting for rookie fever and trading the picks for more proven guys, but may be hard to hit on any absolute superstars with that method. hopefully you got one or two in the startup

Thanks for chiming in, man. I'm not a whiz in terms of quickly pulling up Rookie Draft ADP, but there's no way that *most had Ladd over Worthy. I didn't see it a single time in 19 rookie drafts, but nicely done by you either way lol.

i was dead wrong about Ladd. Thought his slight frame wouldnt hold up (he has been prone to injury so i was right there) and i thought he wouldnt be able to beat physical press coverage (this is where i was terribly wrong).
As a die-hard Chargers fan ive never been so happy to be wrong 😂

So I chose Ladd McConkey over Xavier Worthy in every league I had the opportunity. Dynasty Zoltan to thank for that! He knew a few of them you said NOBODY knew but he was pushing the narrative
I think the part that’s also gonna be an issue with all these RBs coming in 25, is that a bunch of these guys are likely to come into “bad” landing spots. What happens if the Bengals take Henderson at the top of the 2nd? 🤷🏽♂️ it happens every year.

Nice work gents, though I don't quite grasp Scott at the end trying to comp the 25 RB class with the 24 RB class.
This implies that because no RB took over a backfield in 2024 in a very weak RB class, it doesn't compare to a strong RB class and how they will fit in.
Better comps would be the 2023 RB class with Bijan and Gibbs, how did they fit in?
Worthy was mostly ahead of Ladd but wasn’t nearly as big as they made it seem… end of first in a tier of Thomas, Nix, Worthy, Ladd I think you could’ve seen in any order
Would you trade 2 2nds for Kittle to be a flex option in a 10 team superflex ppr no TEP? I am the #1 team in the league and have qbs, RBs, top 3 WR, and also Pitts and McBride. The 2 2nds will be the 2.04 and 2.09

I don't think the guy on the far right side actually watches other content creators. Lots of people had Ladd over Worthy. It wasn't a unique take at all.
As a contender with a 1st round bye I used my late 25 1st + DHop + Jonnu for Tee + early/mid 2nd in a 12TM SF 0.5PPR lineup st10 league. Think I came out ahead especially if I can get a haul for Tee if he signs somewhere else to be the WR1.
I traded worthy and a 3rd for Tracey, drafted Ladd at the 1.11 and nix at the 2.06 😂😂😂 also traded stroud for 2first and 3 2nds… you guys want me on the pod 😂
12T SF PPR 0.5TEP - Start 10... Looking to retool and acquire future capital. If I'm sending away my JT to a contender who has a surplus of RB2's is willing to do like BRob + 27 1st + Tillman, should I hop on that? Or should I try to play it safer by asking for Rhamondre + Pollard + 27 1st + C Kirk/Shaheed? Another trade I have pending is sending Chuba + Ridley + 26 4th for Godwin + 27 1st; the other owner told me that this trade is a backup plan for him if his other falls through.

I literally had all three at 4:40 lol. BTJ, Ladd, Bucky. Not because I am smart. If you take away the big three everyone had BTJ 4, and he had no competition on his team, everyone was low on QJ, and everyone talked about Whites numbers.

Nah, keeping Waddle there. I see why you'd do it, but that is such a massive hit in terms of the dynasty asset value, or lack thereof in the case of Evans.

Great to see your back! Quick question 12 tm ppr start 11. Should I send mid to late 2025 1st(5th/6th playoff) and Brian Thomas for baker and evans. My qbs are russ and carr. Evans would probably mean i bench jeudy or tracy.

Keeping the BTJ side as well. I love Baker and Evans, but I'm not going to package up that much value unless I'm shooting very high in the ranks.
Situation involving 3 teams.
Team A (Myself) and Team B & C
Team A 1st seed secured and I’m facing Team B (currently 6th place on the bubble). Team A heavy favorite over Team B. Team C (currently 7th seed) is facing a 50/50 matchup to make the playoffs. Team A owns Team Cs 1st round pick. So if Team C misses playoffs that draft pick based on Max PF will be probably 1.03. Should Team A feel any shame in throwing their matchup this week to ensure Team B makes the playoffs over Team C. Karma will probably cost Team A the championship but they’ll have the 1.03 no matter what. To be clear I’m not going to throw it but the temptation is there. Really just hoping that Team C loses their 50/50 matchup so this isn’t a factor.
Worthy was the worst example to use against Ladd… lots of people were looking @ Worthy as high chance of busting (bad route runner) and loved Ladd because he was always open

Ladd was my WR5 of the class neck and neck with Legette. Worthy was my 8th, he was never a star receiver but everyone lost their mind when he ran a 4.22 and just forgot that film existed
