- I'm back from my 3 week holiday in the UK with a sniffly nose 🤧 and I saved the opening of my grow tent for this video! Here I recap how I prepped my plants for me being away for 3 weeks, and we check how they fared during 3 hot and dry weeks in July (believe me I was frantically checking Vancouver weather while I was away). And at the end of the video I show you some bits and bobs I brought back from the UK. Hope you enjoy this one! ❤️

Absolutely wild to see you went to Skomer Island in Pembrokeshire. I have been going on holiday to Pembrokeshire for over 20 years. One of the most beautiful parts of the UK, my dream is to work there one day!

For 3 weeks the plants did great.
That Cuppy shirt I would wear it backwards 😂 I love your buys in the UK. You had a very adventurous trip. Painting Rock that is fun! I can see Charmaine putting that rock in a plant. This video was full of fun. I enjoyed it💚 get well soon.

Listening to you talking about the UK so fondly is just so comforting to me. I'm over in Alberta, and it's very insular here, I find. People barely know the UK exists, let alone enjoy Marmite!!! I got excited hearing a Canadian talk about Diddly Squat and "Sainsburys....Taste the Difference " 😂 it warmed my poor little homesick heart.

This video gave me hope for my trip at the end of the year. A 15 day cruise and I am really unsure of how my plants will do. At least it will be during the cooler part of the yeat

Hey girl! So glad you enjoyed your time overseas! You inspired me to see Wales! I just got back from 3 weeks overseas, half in Switzerland and half in Scotland, and I nearly cried having to come back to the US, so I feel you! Also, found out I had spider mites all over my gloriosum, plowmannii, splendid, verrucosum, and a ton of others in my collection! 😫 It was worth it though.

I'm Dutch and my household loves high quality cheese. We, almost automatically, alternate between generic supermarket Gouda and farm/market cheeses. It just makes one appreciate it a lot more ❤
Dude! I've found that the more light I give certain anthurium the darker they get too! My Besseae aff is one. She looks like a Carla with green veining when she gets a lot of light. It is stunning.

Is your Alocasia watsoniana velvety? Mine is shined and rubbery. If yours is velvety is it a variant? do you know what it is called?
It’s velvety! I was told that true watsoniana is velvety and the veins fork at the margins with maturity, rather than a straight line all the way out. I think there are multiple variants of A. longiloba, one of which is watsoniana
booger flecks. 🤣
Mother-in-law? Did you guys get married? Or was it a Freudian slip? 😂 anyway I’m glad you had a nice trip, and I’m glad the plants fared ok (I know this is months old now, but I’m a recent subscriber. 🪴)
