I thoroughly enjoy the longer videos. I listen to you and Charmaine throughout my days. I’m spring cleaning, all about “everything has a home or it goes away”. Also, I don’t mind sponsorships within videos. It’s how you can make money! Especially if you love the products or services! I love learning about new products, companies, etc through the people I admire most. Keep growing, I love your content and authenticity!
I feel the same way! For sponsored content, I also just want it to be QUITE explicit that it is sponsored or I immediately get a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to that creator. I hate it when they do the whole spiel and then at the very end, very quickly, mention it is sponsored. I think Jessica Braun and Fern do a great job when it comes to incorporating sponsorships into their videos.
I had an out break of spots like that on a couple anthurium too, no yellowing. I never saw any webbing or mites. Such a mystery. I treated with sulphur spray and it stopped. Flat mites would make sense, my Hoya had it. I didn’t realize they like anthurium. My alocasia spider mite magnets never spread normal spider mites to anthurium. I love that you offer possibilities and what you hear about in your videos. Different environments/plant care styles, it’s great to get the exposure! Thanks! On the sponsorship/promotion I say go for it! You can always tell us “I am curious about this” or “I wanted to try this out”, it doesn’t have to be something you already trust, that could be limiting. I want you to get that money! I like to hear about non plant stuff too, if I am not interested I still try to watch thru so I can support the channel. You deserve to make a living and this is part of it.
Congrats on your consulting opportunity 🎉 I love long form videos because I can listen to content while being productive. And so often I learn more about plants and plant care when something is mentioned offhand. I mostly listen but I love having visual references available too. Short videos means I let RUclips decide on the next videos 🙄 or I have to (which can be disruptive if it is required every few minutes). I’m okay with sponsors when they’re relevant and recommended. I can only imagine how demoralizing it can be putting so much time into making content without reasonable compensation. Not that we all need to make money off all the things we do, but your content takes actual work and investment in equipment. Get paid my friend. We’re here for you. I love cleaning and organizing. Loving the longer videos for sure, great to listen / watch while repotting or simple plant chores. So far I'm getting organized, I have 2 portable plant carts coming (loved that idea from you and Charmaine) and designing a sunroom/greenhouse for the backyard for 95% of my plants. This will also double as my home office. Really exciting time and Thank You for sharing the revamp of your plant room, it seems more functional and spacious for you.

I much prefer the longer videos! I learned so much just from this one video. I have the coffee bug too. I used to own a coffee shop for a short while (inside my husband's music store) but we closed back in 2016 and I really miss it. I sold off my espresso machine and now I just have a Nespresso set up, which isn't the same at all. I miss making real drinks but my ability to start a new business is kind of impossible right now,. Good luck with your new endeavor!!
Love the long videos you produce. I often do planty chores at the same time. I,m very interested in pon at the moment, so any updates after you have planted in pon would be very useful. Thanks for your informative videos.
I don't think drainage holes is the answer. I think LECA is. What I've done, to great success, is to have a layer of perlite on the bottom 30% of the glass, then a slight layer of lava rock on top to show the sort of perlite top for reserve purposes. Then I put the roots in above that, with nothing but leca around them, and finally I put a mix of pon, lava rock and perlite at the very top, with Osmocote slow release. Having the leca around the roots gives them more of an airy climate where they are most concentrated, while maintaining moisture. And then they can grow "water-roots" down into the perlite/nutrient water area at the bottom. It works very well. Lastly, I would've gotten rid of the tree fern fiber, and anything else that can rot. TFF can bring rot much easier than pon/leca/perlite.
I wish I was into leca . Just not appealing to me. I prefer her varied methods. I love my soil just like she does. Plus I have seen all those methods experimented in the channel before so I’m sure by now is just preference choices.

I like both long and short videos. Sometimes I watch longer ones on like 1.5 speed so I can binge more while I work. :) Unfortunately no spring cleaning for me, but I'm spring garden mode like watering my outdoor plants that are waking up from the winter and repotting some that really needed it.

I’m fine with sponsorships as long as it’s relevant to the content and I’m not being bombarded all the time. I also get really sick of seeing the same sponsors all the time. vpn, audible, glasses usa, native etc. A lot of sponsors aren’t relevant to me either as I’m in Europe or they’re just too expensive. Like the Mother lights - they’re just incredibly expensive here. Either way, you can skip the sponsorship segment if you don’t want to see it. However, I usually watch the ads and don’t skip because I want to support the content creator
An hour video is good for me. Love Charmaine but the 3 hr videos are too much for me because I like to see what your talking about. I don’t mind sponsors as long as it’s not every video. Good luck with your future consulting. 💚💚💚
I watch a lot of a YT and feel mehh on sponsorships & ads. I personally HATE advertising. I hate how I listen to the radio and there’s ads, turn on the TV there’s ads, scroll through social media, ads. When it comes to YT, I totally understand taking advantage of opportunities to make any money on YT, but I as viewer hate watching sponsorships & ad breaks. Especially bc I come to YT to relax and watch planty content. I’ll still be here watching, and occasionally watch through ad breaks & sponsorships to support channels I love & sub to, but if every other video feels like there’s a sponsorship it definitely becomes more of a turn off. I think for me what irks me, is short videos with sponsors. It’s a great way for me not watch. So I guess my input would be, if there’s more sponsors, still keep the longer form videos? Or like a 25-33% sponsor to nonsponsored videos ratio?
You have educated and helped me soo much about learning about plants 🪴. Woman…Get those sponsorships!!! Content Creating is a job and you should fully be compensated any/every way possible. I am cheering you Charmaine all the way!!!!
I love watching all of your videos - long or short! Just to give my feedback on sponsorships…imo it is better to stick with sponsorships related to what your YT channel is about. I watch some plant channels and they will be promoting products and services totally unrelated to their channel which seems weird to me. I also don’t think you have to only stick to promoting things you already have and use. If you get a sponsorship where it is something you don’t use, but think it might be something to try…there is nothing wrong with accepting it and saying to your watchers “so-and-so reached out to me to try this product and it seems promising or interesting or whatever so I thought I’d give it a try and let you all know how it goes”. Whether it ends up being a great product or a total bust…you have given us real life trials for something we might be considering. We all know the only way YT creators can continue making videos is you need to and deserve to be compensated for your work. I think I can speak for most of us that seeing sponsored videos with genuine feedback only adds to the value of your content. Now back to my spring cleaning project…cleaning out the back patio and getting my outdoor plants all situated!! 💚🪴

An hour video is good for me. Love Charmaine but the 3 hr videos are too much for me because I like to see what your talking about. I don’t mind sponsors as long as it’s not every video. Good luck with your future consulting. 💚💚💚
I couldn’t cope with the pressure of that many sponsored videos 😂
Or like a 25-33% sponsor to nonsponsored videos ratio?
just be careful of scammer sponsors 👍 cough cough Established Titles 😄
I’ve never heard of scammer sponsors 😳
@@youdontevengrowhere it's all over RUclips, beware 🫵
