I've watched ALOT of fishing videos lately. I've found this channel to be the most informative. It's great that everything's listed in the description. Keep up the good work !
Go go Dry Creek!!! Fishing the Dry Creek Open this weekend in Idaho. Fantastic tournament put on by Brad Perkins and Dry Creek Outfitters honoring our veterans and first responders. Thanks Tim for giving Dry Creek a shout out. They do make some awesome baits!!!
Awesome. Thanks to these fall transition videos I I just had the best fishing day ever in my life. You guys have changed the sport of fishing for me. I can’t thank you guys enough. I wish I could meet you guys one day and thank you in person. Maybe take you guys fishing to my nearby lake.
That's awesome man, you getting out there and catching them is what this is all about. We'd love to meet one day, in the meantime keep sticking those fish :-)
I’d love to know how to pattern them on bluegill lakes because I’ve looked all over RUclips and there isn’t a video for how to catch fall bass on bluegill lakes
They’re still heavily feeding. Instead of whites, use something that better resembles bluegill. For example, instead of white spinnerbaits (which still work in bluegill lakes) use a green pumpkin chatterbait.
Here’s what I’m finding. I’m in Utah and we are perch/bluegill/trout lakes here. There still pushing the perch and the bluegill up into cover or back into the cover. I was fishing a reservoir yesterday and we found the bass were real slow. But they were holding on the outside of small coves. Up in the weeds they were basically doing the same however in the back of the deep cover there were fish there as well. It seems to be the same pattern it’s just getting them to take the bait.
Any tips on carribean waters. I know ya’ll talk about weather changes, fall and all of that, however in Puerto Rico water tempetures dont really vary that much. Should I fish like is summer all the time? Advise please
You guys should make 2 videos, how Matt Allen fishes and how Tim Little fishes.. you know for say matt, you tell us how YOU work a frog, how YOU work soft plastics, basically how YOU work all the different baits you use..
the lake I frequently fish has a mud/silt or decomposed vegetation bottom. Can you work these ned rig and bottom crawling swimbaits in the mud? Ive been playing with a carolina rig but it comes up covered in crap. Any tips for carolina rig and thoughts on bottom finesse presentations in muck. Thanks guys, love the channel!!
All of my biggest fish that were caught on artificial baits, were caught on finesse techniques. The least finesse thing I’ve caught big fish on is a jig or topwater and topwater bigs for me aren’t as big, just really exciting lol.
I can’t help but notice that 2 people have thumbs down. 👎🏻 lol. What part of this video was bad. I wish TB would put the names up. I bet it’s the same two haters every video. GREAT STUFF AS ALWAYS. KEEP IT COMIN!
Another great video, Tim! I've learned so much since I found your channel. Will the bass still abandon the grass for hard structure here in the South (central Florida) where it's been a few years since it's been cold enough for the grass to die back? Also, can the neko/ned rigs be fished on a muck bottom - not too many hard bottomed areas down here? Thanks so much for all the great info.
Z-man sells a weedless ned head that you Texas rig. BulletZ or something like that. Neko can be fished seedless too if you get a weedless hook, those might help in the mucky bottom.
Thanks for the info you both are awesome. What weight poles and line size are you using for this style of fishing. Most of my rods are medium heavy. They range anywhere from 10, 12 lb. line and 50 lb braid. I’ve been away from fishing for quite some time so a lot of this stuff is new to me thanks for any input that you can give. Oh yeah I’m also getting my son into this sport.
How do you find hard bottom (especially without electronics?) Down here in the bay, a lot of the deep clear reservoirs seem to be all grass. Is there a way to pick out the the hard stuff?
Pretty sure there's only 2 options: electronics or scuba gear 🤣 You could just go old school & find out by dropping your bait straight down & hopping it, either you won't feel anything & you'll pull up a side salad, or you'll feel your bait hitting the hard bottom.
I respect your tactics ( tactical bassin) I'm a bank fisherman and I have the blessing of a lakeside front shell bed rock structure. The rock bank runs in a 230 acre cove. Sunday I almost caught my new PB. With a brush hog. Would like a little info on the turnover of my lake. My leg is algae covered and has stained water. I predominantly fish rock structure with articulated swimbaits, spinnerbaits and crankbaits. My top water game is garbage. But they have been requesting spook baits. I can work the bait somewhat but not perfectly. I have been practicing. Any tips you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
What if you could have the ultimate fall dropshot bait for perch/bluegill lakes. What would it look like and what features would make it particularly remarkable?
The close up of the tungsten weight is a good addition. I would like more please. Close ups help me identify the lure, shape, color etc. Often in your videos you hold the bait momentarily but do to depth of view it is not clearly identified. The inset pic close up is better. Your videos are the best. I search almost everyday for instructional bass fishing vifeos. Tactical bassin is the very best. I have eliminated many you tube channels because yours are so informative i don't need others. I still watch japanese manufacturer channels looking for a new "to me anyway" baits.
Every time I go out I take a bunch of finesse gear with me, that I fully intend to use, but the wind always makes it near impossible. I noticed the water is pretty calm in your video clips. I don’t have power poles or spot lock. Do you have tips for using these on windy days? Or do I not even bother with them in the wind?
Loved the detailed information about the baits but would love to learn what rod and reel combos you were using. Seemed a mix of bait caster and spinning with NRX rods
Hey guys. I have seen a lot lately a new style of Ned weight that is flat shaped like a frisbee? Do you find an advantage to these style weights or do you stick with the regular mushroom head style?
Hey guys the link to the budget finesse combo is not working, I am going to buy it but I want to use your link to do it 😉 to help out @TacticalBassin. Awesome videos btw all the time.

You can use braid to fluorocarbon like the gentleman said if you use straight fluoro than give it a try.. throw it around in the yard and see if you like it
I was having issues constantly with line on spinning rods, switched to braid with fluoro leader and no more issue and works great even on my super light spinning rod. I use 20# braid power pro to 8# fluoro
www.tacklewarehouse.com/Cal_Coast_Fishing_Cali_Clip_Hook_Keeper/descpage-CALICP.html They are nice as long as you have the right fit on your rod. Some tape under the position you want to put it on your rod always helps me to get them to stay better when I had a couple issues. These things rock
#GOALS‼ Haven't got a Dark Sleeper, Ned, or Neko Bass yet lol NO I'm not living under a rock just havent thrown enough... dropshot tends to be my goto finesse cuz it just FLAT OUT produces but Im gonna stick with them a follow thru this fall until I can cross them off my to do list. THANKS TIM
nicatein1 it's all where your confidence lies, it's funny, cuz I'm the opposite. I have way more confidence with a ned, neko or finesse swimbait. I'll throw a drop shot and get good results but I still don't have the confidence to make it a go to. Good luck to you with those other baits, it's always cool to see the difference in anglers confidence baits
Try a Texas rigged finesse TRD on a drop shot. I promise you they eat them quick. normally I Texas rig with one of those eagle claw straight shank worm hooks with the keeper for a drop shot hook.
I fishing alot of river. Since I don't have boat to fishing lake. I fishing river all year around i do have some lucky. I just want leard few more thing. Could you help me out
We're definitely beginning the slow cool down. Its still high 90's today but the night time temps have dropped. Most anglers don't realize you can have actual seasons AND 10 lbers at the same time in other parts of the country. Ha! Hang in there Jesse.
Fishermen complicate things too much. Iv learned over the years that most of these baits look nothing like the real thing. Most of the time bass will bite anything.
WTF is this guy talking about? This channel is definitely aimed at pro anglers and not the average fisherman. Who the hell has a different rod and line and nail sinkers and specialty pliers to Ned rig an o ring etc etc etc in their tackle box? Too much information, I need to bring a damn filing cabinet with me in the boat to store all the info.
:-) We run these videos in series. Some are geared to the beginning angler, others are geared to the highest levels. Don't let this one turn you away. If you prefer something a little simpler we've got them 👍
Could you please make the videos 20 minutes or less because not a lot of us have time to sit down and pay attention for half an hour too an hour. And if you have a lot of content please split it into 2 videos
I've watched ALOT of fishing videos lately. I've found this channel to be the most informative. It's great that everything's listed in the description. Keep up the good work !
I never finesse fished until I started watching you guys at tactical. Now I can't wait to get my spinning gear out
This channel had the best tip videos 100%
Go go Dry Creek!!! Fishing the Dry Creek Open this weekend in Idaho. Fantastic tournament put on by Brad Perkins and Dry Creek Outfitters honoring our veterans and first responders. Thanks Tim for giving Dry Creek a shout out. They do make some awesome baits!!!

Still hot here in the Carolinas, but my buddy and I are gonna give this a try this weekend.
I feel y'alls pain.. been 96 in Georgia this week.. just go super early or night fishing
The Char thing is incredible. I hope you are recognized for your accomplishment.
Fishing is the ANSWER. trust me.
Awesome video man I'm going to try that stuff this weekend thanks for all your information you guys are the best
Thanx man my dad invited me to a tournament this weekend. Gonna try this out. That dark sleeper is for real they choke it everytime great hook ups.
Tim awesome tips brother. I have questions and have asked you guys twice now with no response so I’m not going to ask again. Thanks for your videos.
Another great pep talk! Thanks guys!
Thanks awesome details like that dark sleeper.
Great tips Tim. Tactical Rocks. Best on the internet.

Awesome vidoes guys.. please do a video on what to do when the water goes like glass...

What baits are best to imitate bluegill for finnese fishing style
Nice job Tim.
Damn you guys always get me to drop $50...

Would you rather spend it on something else though?

Dude your getting off cheap! I just bought a new Drop Shot Rod and Reel and I still have to check out some of stuff Tim just talked about. Lol!
Mike Welter I bought 5 rods in a month and only started fishing for bass 3 weeks ago.

I’ll have to try these because I usually fish large baits and not finesse
drop shots will catch them all, from all of the dinks in the area, to all of the finicky biggins that wont eat jigs or lipless cranks in the fall.
I don’t recall you guys taking about using attractants for your soft plastics. Do you believe in them?
Good stuff Tim
Every time I go out I take a bunch of finesse gear with me, that I fully intend to use, but the wind always makes it near impossible. I noticed the water is pretty calm in your video clips. Rod and reel arsenal!!!!! Hopefully coming soon.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the okashira, Tim?
can you please do a small tutorial on how to rig the tube bait with the tube bait hooks. It's probably intuitive and I'm just dense but I can't quite get it and I haven't been able to find a tutorial on it either. All the tutorials are just on how to texas rig it with a regular EWG off set hook. Thank you in advance.
I have been watching you guys for quite some time but there is one video I do not think I have seen either of you post.
How about a description of rod action, powers, and lengths that can help people determine what rods they already have and what will apply to what technique best?
I feel like at 51yo I have learned to look more at fishing from the fishes perspective (thank you) it has helped me be more productive. So now the only weak point of understanding is the tool at the other end of the line, my rod not me, sometimes I am not quite sure about what is in my hand.
However I do feel I would have a better chance or at least be more effective if I just did not have to keep going through the trial and error as my patient wife keeps smiling away.
For example we mainly fish from kayaks and have a couple medium heavy 7'0"-7'2"rods w/ fast action with baitcasters plus 7 spinning rods that run towards 6-12# line around 7 foot long that are often used for soaking trout bait and throwing 1/6th+ rooster tails.
ie: For largemouth bass we are trying to make this equipment work with senkos, chatter and swim jigs, football jigs, drop shots and ned rigs all working in the right direction.

Robert, that is a great idea. The most difficult part of what you're going through is there is absolutely no standardization. Right here --> bit.ly/2lNGGL9
I was going to ask as well! HELL YA
How do y'all not get line twist with drop shots? Is there something I'm doing wrong or do y'all have a trick?
I use a swivel most of the time. Braid to fluoro leader to swivel to 6-8ft fluoro leader keeps the twists at bay. If it’s super finesse and I think they will see the swivel or if I’m fishing for monsters I will forgo the swivel to give me less knots and less chance for breaking off and just deal with the little bit of twisting.

That swagger head is even better when you trim down that bait keeper.
I have the Dark Sleeper 2,4 & 3 inch too, we have in the Netherlands a ton off Gobies, but i catch nothing with these baits, the Evergreen Fact Sculpin 3,5 inch is a fish catching machine.

We're definitely beginning the slow cool down. Its still high 90's today but the night time temps have dropped. Most anglers don't realize you can have actual seasons AND 10 lbers at the same time in other parts of the country. Ha! Hang in there Jesse.
Woooooooooooooo!!!!!!!
Neeeeed rigssss
I need one of those clips to hold my drop shot weight😪

God is good
The price of tungsten is ridiculous

I like to see your eyes! Lose the glasses! They're fine on the lake, but not on the video. ;-)
lol I hope your a chick
Fishermen complicate things too much. Iv learned over the years that most of these baits look nothing like the real thing. Most of the time bass will bite anything.
Too much talking. Show the techniques.
