To big & boxy for my taste. I prefer the styling & size of the CX-30 over this or the CX-5. As of 2025 model-year, the only CX-50 worth buying (IMO) would be the hybrid version (which has a Toyota hybrid power-train & proper combo direct+port injection engine.
Good thoughts here. The CX-50 is big and boxy as you said. Designed by and for the American market and isn't that what we all want? Big and boxy?! I'm sad when manufacturers think that really is all we want. I prefer lithe, light and nimble but those are hard attributes to put into a crossover or SUV. We did review both the CX-5 and CX-30 on this channel awhile back and those were less "truck-ish" than the CX-50. Thanks for watching and for the thoughts!
