    I have been spending my entire semester of college at the library teaching myself NLP and Text PreProcessing methods to create something like this... Countless nights staying up until 4am doing research. This is an amazing idea which will revolutionize the way we work. Cutting down data preprocessing time from 80% to something like 50% will save time and LOTS of money. Thank you for sharing

    Siraj! The company you inspired the creation of is working on a new cutting edge web browser and we've been looking for a way to do NLP to process keyboard/text commands. Once again you've used your talent for sharing cutting edge technology to enrich my/our (family/our (world) lives! All glories to you. Thank you so much.

    Well, but if you want to inject more analytics (e.g. association rule mining), you quickly run into a wall: "You need Watson Analytics for that!" or even worse: "It is not integrated yet, But of course you can download the intermediary results and analyse it with SPSS Modeler on-premise.". Licencing is a nightmare even for academical institutions. The problem is that a) Watson is still an unfinished prmise and b) IBM is an organizational maze. The simplest questions take forever to process. Obviously Watson doesn't help them.

    So data scientist bubble burst is coming?

    • @g_wzrd_9265
      @g_wzrd_9265 5 лет назад +4

      Solidify well I’m sure it’s too early to say that but by cutting off 75% of a data scientist’s job (cleaning and preprocessing data), this might lower salaries and or shrink data scientist teams. Obviously the black box approach for the machine learning part is what will ultimately keep a data scientist valuable. That skill will probably irreplaceable, partly, because no black box approach is a good one... currently.

    • @g_wzrd_9265
      @g_wzrd_9265 5 лет назад +2

      Solidify it varies with company and industry. But scaling down a data science team because data engineers can take up the roles as hybrid data engineer/data scientist thanks to Watson; personally I would rather train data engineers to do a data scientist job and having one experienced data scientist as the manager. That will cut cost and I have super powered data engineer/scientists. you can see where I’m going with this. Given the time that it takes to train a data engineer into data scientist with Watson adding features bi-monthly. It’ll take two years. Think about it. Data scientist started off by just focusing on the data science but now they are adding data engineering and software engineering into their arsenal of tools and skills. Wouldn’t the other way around be easier. Idk I’m no expert but I would hate to lose my job before I get through these interviews lol jk jk data scientist are safe for now

      I think the whole, "western pre-computerized industrial capitalism" is soon going to burst. I live in Salt Lake City and we've already got a thriving infrastructure for Fintech projects and decentralized business. We've effectively solved the, "poor people not having cars and things" problem by combining our public transport infrastructure with Uber, Bird Scooters, Lime, and a collection of ride-sharing apps. We're soon going to end acute-Homelessness with decentralized space-sharing. I'm really excited for the future. We're approaching a new reality where everyone has the ability to do whatever their capacity to dream and serve their fellow human drives them to! No more unnecessary obstacles to human progress. Harinam! #progressivemarchtowardthecenter #premayuga #theinfiniteinternational
      You know what I think the next big thing is? Some kind of Fintech project that's just a simple appliance one can buy that prints money; it uses AI to figure out what assets can be rented out or made a profit on with decentralized apps or uses money or assets in a bank or investment portfolio to sit in someone's living room and coordinate making Universal Basic Income for them. A UBI Box. Perhaps it could mine Bitcoins or something. Perhaps these boxes could be set up in public to distribute money to financially venerable people. Food for thought! #fisforfuture
