Oh.. Jimmy Buffet. Had the joy of hanging out with him in Florida, Orange Beach, and Jamaica. I've never heard this song before, so thank you, Nanner. Jimmy was a "beach" man. Loved his laid-back soul. He's drinking margaritas somewhere. RIP. Thank you, Hap, for your reaction! ✌️ ☮️ 🍹

How dearly missed he is. There was only one for sure! I saw him several times down at Key West, and enjoyed every minute! It was always a party, for sure. Thank you very much for your insightful reaction as always. I hope you had a great Christmas and have a Happy New Year, my friend.
Ho, Ho, Ho, that was fun and why not? You don't always have to take everything so seriously. This was a Christmas song with a difference. I've never heard of Jimmy Buffet, but I looked it up and read that he died on September 1, 2023 - RIP 🙏🕯️.

Shall I write my book again? Maybe? Jimmy died of a rare type of skin cancer in September 2023 at age 76. He was born on Christmas day in 1946. He had a HUGE cult following who called themselves Parrotheads.
I have NO idea, nor did I notice the misspelling of rum. I just grabbed one that had good audio. My bad!
Jill I'm not sure how you got several tickets to see him. My hubby is a big fan and it took me 3 years to finally get some tickets! (Side note. Same venue that SRV crashed) I'm more of a "certain songs" type of fan.
Not quite sure what I'd call him. A little bit county and a little bit rock but a whole lot of beach! 30 albums, 9 gold and 8 platinum or multi-platinum records. He has a chain of restaurants, hotels, and a couple of casinos called Margaritaville . (He also has a cruise line but it's suppose to be not so great) He is mostly known for living in Florida (Palm Beach, Key West) but also had a home in New York and the island of St Barts.
He does fun/silly songs and he also does more serious songs. His voice is better on the serious songs.

And YES! Often over the years I've wanted to just skip all the Christmas stuff, rent a beach house and relax! There is still time one of these years!
