      So I get the slanted pocket. You can fit like an umbrella a jacket long stuff. I seen a comment saying that they should have done a half zipper at the top in a L shape and cut off the bottom half from top half. That would have been cool. Front pockets are always used for quick access. I would have considered if it weren't for that. I'll see what the second gen brings

    OK. Just checked out the sling/cube they also offer and that can attach to the inside of the bag and MAN. I am really digging this system for a 35mm film camera set up. The sling doubles as a cube, has side access built in, and has plently of room for my cleaning tools (air blower and micro fiber cloth) plus LOTS of film rolls. I could also adapt it to carry a small travel mirrorless camera like my Sony a6000 or even the new X100VI (or the V for that matter).
    REALLY impressed.
    And yes, LOVE the blue liner!

    I love the blue (I also tend to dislike the orange), though I don't like that the laptop flap is with the main compartment. On another note, I really appreciate that you showed the backpack on your back and on a shorter woman. It helps me with additional information since what works/looks great for/on you can be very bulky on me, and what's tight on you, can be perfect for me (hello AER Pro Pack straps!). Thank you for all your reviews, Ive been watching so many videos this past week trying to pick my "perfect" bag, I had no idea what a huge (amazing) jungle it is out there.

    agree on your review sir!
    1. luv the blue inside
    2. laptop sleeve area “should” be separate
    3. top quick access pocket is in weird location, things might get crushed? (tho appreciate deeper pocket so can insert phone vertically, wish more bags did that)
    4. overall pretty cool, but the largish size to me, for EDC, is less a common EDC size for us smaller folks and looks more like a multipurpose short travel / camera gear bag. But you’ve heard a lot more about EDC wants than most, so what do i know :) 🎉

    I love bright colors for highlight effect. It self stands that’s a must for me.
    The side handles are meh.
    Front is a if I were to take from something you often say. It’s a vibe.
    I don’t care for modular since I use my own pgytech tech bag and toiletry bag.
    The arm straps are just ok and the laptop area is meh.
    It’s not bad for a first bag, but the price though I know it’s costly depending on order numbers is really really high entry point to invest in someone who hasn’t proven anything yet. Lifetime warranty is moot since they have no history to back it up yet but I like that they offer it.
    Being new, their entrance fee is too high to take leap. I recommended a pgytech bag to you that you said you’re hyped to check out and that one for $100 less comes with a free camera type bag.
    It’s a tough sell. If I’m being honest, I’d pass on this one for me until I can see some in the wild

    I think the teeny carabiner/ loop system especially is smart-- it has the functionality of molle, without screaming LOOK AT ME, I OWN SEVENTEEN GUNS. Functionality of the tactical-style bag without the aesthetics. Will definitely be following their work closely. This is almost the perfect bag for me, wow. I've always loved the blue interior of Thule bags and the ripstop orange of Alpaca, always said to myself a blue ripstop interior would be heavenly... and it is on the few bags that have it, like the Alpaca sling. But man this bag gets it really right lol
    Also love the front admin, love the modularity, and especially love the weather resistance. Been looking for a bag like this as my new bike to work commuter for a long time.
    Only gripes are the full clamshell (personally prefer top loaders) and the price. $350 isn't terrible, but the sling is 170, each cube another 50, z-biners 20. Way too much all in all, for me anyways.
    Might hold off to see what CarryCubo brings next. This bag could be amazing with a few minor updates, and I'd love to see a fold top or even just another zip bag but with a separate laptop compartment and side access.

    My concern is that the laptop sleeve is inside the main compartment. Overpacking can put a lot of strain on the laptop, particularly the screen, especially if the items within are unevenly distributed and cause a bulge. They should have a separate compartment for laptop, like Recon or Borealis with hard frame. A hip belt would also be nice to have when the backpack is fully loaded.

      love the idea! to be straight up I probably won't be able to do a video on that anytime soon, but I will say that I crafted my Fyro bag to be what I consider "perfect" organization for a EDC backpack. A few easy-to-access pockets in The Hatch, a few small pockets in the main compartment, and that's it! I much prefer to load up a few pouches in a bag then have a full admin compartment like this, but obviously lots of people like this style as well. Any other specific questions feel free to ask!

    I like the blue interior, but I find it clashes with the green version exterior, which I think is the best looking of the 3.
    Also the bag is WAY overpriced, compared to similar offerings from much more well established brands and it brings nothing innovative to the table.
    Aer City Pack Pro is the same 24L, same organisation, lighter, more comfortable and we know their bags are durable, their warranty means something; and it’s $140 cheaper.
    PD Travel Backpack 30L is 27L not expanded, same overall design, ~same weight, a bit less organisation, ecosystem options, but again we know it’s durable, we know we can trust that warranty; and it’s $120 cheaper, but can often be had for $150-180 less on promos.
    So yeah, I’d never trust a new brand with that much $, considering there’s no innovation.

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  6 месяцев назад

      "no innovation" seems kinda harsh. I think aesthetically they are bringing a lot of very new ideas to the table, and their modular system is very well thought out. Agreed that the price is high, but for newer brands it's basically impossible to compete with established brands like Aer and Peak Design who have decades of sales and the ability to optimize their supply chains and lower their prices. At the end of the day, this is how the free market works, so we'll see how Carry Cubo does!

    • @Scott__C
      @Scott__C 6 месяцев назад

      A brand that's making many times more bags gets an economy of scale that a new company can't. I'm also hoping that's not simple profit, but R&D and paying their employees well.

    • @houserhythm
      @houserhythm 6 месяцев назад

      @@Nomads.Nation I'm sorry, but adding a splash of colour and tilting a zipper diagonally is a far cry from being innovative.

    • @houserhythm
      @houserhythm 6 месяцев назад

      @@Scott__C I understand "the struggle." of being the new kid on the block. But I, as the consumer, can't be expected to pay 70% more out of pity for the new guy, when there are amazing options at that much lower price point. I mean even if they came out at the same price as the big brands, it would be a hard sell, because of the lack of trust/history, but being this much more expensive on top of that... is a hard pass for me; and it will be for many.
