I used Aer, Boundary Errant, Wandrd Prvke lite for daily and I realised that I cannot use heavy and boxy backpack. And we all have tech pouches I guess so we don't need so many internal organisation. I was considering to get Able Carry or Rushfaster. This bag looks more beautiful than photos and size is better for my needs than Able Carry 13. Also basic thin top handle is better for daily bags because we can hang wherever we want. Thick top handle gets damaged when hanged and not joyful to carry after. I wish this bag has more color options and aegean blue internal color would be nice. Thanks for the review. Helped me to decide.
Did you mention the place for the airtag? Been carrying this for a couple weeks. It's got a great hand feel. The separation in the top QA pocket helps alleviate the lack of 2 QA pockets. Downside is people who need a QA pocket for larger items won't like it. Also carries comfortably without a sternum strap, imo, and I'm a diehard sternum strap person. Cheers
Hi Aaron. I am still waiting for your full review on the Bellroy Venture Ready Sling 2.5L that you said is coming up in your Best Gear of 2023 video. Looking forward to it and thanks for all the great reviews so far.
I’m proud to see so many great carry brands coming out of Australia (Alpaka, Bellroy, Rushfaster, particularly). Seems like uniqueness and innovation were front of mind, though a lot of the features makes this a pass for me
Not bad, it’s good to have more in this price range. I like it can fit a 16” laptop vs something similar but smaller like the Alpaka metro backpack. I too am a sternum strap guy. For this sort of look and size I’m probably most drawn to the moment everything bags, plus I like the construction yellow….
I got the bag when it came out, but to be honest, the lack of a sternum strap really killed it for me. And, the internal water bottle pocket is also not my favorite. (I got burned when I ruined a laptop with a water bottle that cracked open in my bag.) Agreed that it feels tight for a 22-liter bag. It's a nice-looking bag, for sure. But even with my own sternum strap add-on, it doesn't really fit someone with more ... umm .. chest girth? I'm a wide-shouldered man ... This was definitely created for thinner folks.
This is right up my street. Love the minimalism and the build quality looks solid for the price point. TBH I’d probably buy it just for the interior colour and that pen holder! 😂
Perhaps the RF 16 is designed for the Australian usages. A workperson backpack, it's not on your back for that long to worry about chest straps & ventilation. The internal water bottle is great for cold & hot beverages, Great for the hygienically inclined especially nowadays with viruses, dirt & dust in the air. We like it.! We do feel that no matter the costs, all backpack should deliver. Designers & Makers watch your show because they can get valuable feedback thus making future backpacks as good as FYRO.!
Thanks mate! And yes, I love your breakdown - I do think it's a great bag and the price point is nice considering all the quality materials you are getting
It passed the aesthetic appeal for me straight away. I think it would make an ideal day trip bag but nothing longer term. Have you seen the Mark Ryden branded stuff? The features are impressive for the cost!
Do you happen to know when the Alpaka Vortex pouch will be available now that the Kickstarter is closed? I love the look of the Rushfaster bag and the green color is dreamy :)
I think this kind of bag no need clamshell style. especially when you add water bottle pocket inside, it's look not secure or contain bottle enough for me. Btw backpack look good overall.
Internal water bottle is completely wrong. I have my expensive, tablet and other things which will don’t like water. But I give this one points for good design.
Exactly. One of the main reasons for using a laptop backpack is peace of mind. Doesn’t make sense to sabotage that for aesthetics personally. Love the weight and style of the bag though.
@@semzip8558 totally see your point, but I would say that lots of laptop bags are following this trend now, so it's not just Rushfaster. Also, some people (like myself) don't really carry a water bottle around. I invested in two - one for home and one for when I get to the office. My back loves me for it lol
@@Nomads.Nation not saying I disagree but I just purchased the decathlon Forclaz 500 organizer (not a day bag) and it has a water bottle pocket that zips flush to the bag. It’s a feature that’s great to have when you need it and essentially gone when you don’t. That’s why I was so excited about the Fyro bag!
I am in HK and i don't like this pack: size is fine but not enough pocket is something i am getting rid of😅 my pack have 2 large quick pocket(front and top), and a water bottle pocket(not big but yes it have); also have a hidden pocket behind my back. And two water bottle pocket at outside and inside, so i can carry umbrella with drink at the same time.(eaespecially hk summer.)
Moved away from pouch needy bags years ago. Minimalist for a bag means its cheaper to build. Also, that back panel will cause sweaty back issues even in moderate temps. Last, outside water bottle holders do alot more than just hold water bottles. In my opinion this just screams poor design.
I think it defiantly screams that it’s not your cup of tea, but if I’ve learned anything from responding to the thousands of the comments on this channel is that everyone’s preferences differ. Read the comments on this review - many people are stoked with the bag

Just shot it but we have a ton of content in line so will def take at least 3-4 weeks. If you have any questions in the meantime let me know!
I don’t necessarily mind the water bottle implementation but actually prefer the holder for your backpack.
Appreciated!
Can you please review the new bellroy card sleeve second edition and compare it to the first one?
No promises but will try 💪

Interesting perspective, and I agree about the sternum strap. The older I get the more I need them

It’s on our to do list - hopefully sometime this year

$60 backpack at best.

Don’t think this is worth the money of buying this pack I’d rather buy a big student jansport as it’s very hard to get moisture inside
While I love me a Jansport, this bag will be superior in its weather-resistance across the board
so after reviewing bellroy all those years rushfaster decided to just rip them off.
while I see some design language inspiration, I would not say this is a ripoff by any sense
