USB mics are not the cream of the crop, but they're all far better than any headset mic. For your first "professional" microphone they're more than good enough. Don't invest too much before you're making money, unless you're a nerd who just loves the tech.
What a great idea! And aaah, the peril of playing a character that's outside your usual streaming vibe.... I made that mistake once, and now I just lean in to who I already am.
One thing about these applications, I believe at least one or two of the major companies rely on your portfolio. Some people just have superior portfolio over others. And lately, years of work is far more important. On Holo side, they have bizarre character trainings predebut, to the point of changing their habits and ticks (a few comes to mind). Based off their style for the past 3 expansions (ID, EN, Tempus), the 1st gen would be to hire as broad a skillset as possible (leaning on content creation but not strictly streaming), then 2nd onwards would heavily rely on people loaded with skillsets more in line w/ vtubing. But seriously, if Magni got in by just submitting his 3 min skit of his 24hr Cinderella MV (back in his flrshtubing days), I wouldn't be surprised. That was content gold. And his channels are loaded with those like a treasure chest.
In my opinion, the only way for a semi-newbie content creator to get into Holo right now is to wait for new expansion (ES or EU for example), and shoot your shot there. Kiara got in with sheer JP media exp without being native EN speaker. If you missed your shot on the 1st gen there, you fatten your portfolio and use that as exp as well.
@@carlorielmendez6505 Semi newbie or even totally fresh content creator could still get inside, but you need to be ridiculously talented and charismatic to get in (e.g Kobo)
@@zeroyuki92 ID has a bit of a leeway I think, as a SEA person myself, finding a cracked content creator with SEA economics is slim. Money is in the West + East Asia. I think they're still experimenting with ID so they still fill at least a seat with a more traditional talent (not online persona/content creator type). But who knows, I'm not yet familiar w/ kobo's PL but I'm sure she's jacked.
So, not to knit pick, but just for future reference. USB mics, from what I can gather, have a greater chance of tending toward higher latency that can’t really have much done to fix it on its own. So, mic-wise, if you do a lot of music related content, maaaybe look at audio interfaces and the appropriate mics to use with them. Anyway, great video, Lycoris!
Honesty even if you are not auditioning for anything it is best to not have long dramatic pauses because that wittles down the patience of the viewers that want you to just get to the point. Though if anything a small silence is ok as long as there are no filler words like umm or uhh when trying to think however there is a time and a place for a awkward silence and auditions unless you cleverly intergraded it into the bit is not it especially when you only have 5min at the max Though all that said it is honestly hard for people to do the video part good as that would mean they would need good or decent impromptu skills that not all entertainers or comedians have if they don't have a character or prompt ready before hand. So the best i can recommend is before any audition think of a one off character before applying at all, and yes i know it is stupid because odds are you will not be playing that character if for some reason you join the company so your acting and such is just wasted as you have to act a entirely different character once accepted and odds are a polar opposite one in terms of personality. Then again they could be testing to see if you actually can act but then they are better off giving you a prompt Like i honestly don't see the point in making people do stand up impromptu acting like that as the majority 99% of people are going to be really really really really bad at it while that 1% is probably not going to audition instead they will get scouted out either by someone that already works there or a manager that likes the content. By the way it is actually harder to get someone that woks at a place to recommend you as if you don't work out or even be a no show then that reflects badly on the person that recommended you and could cost them their job depending on the severity. But then again i am probably just a pessimist as they are skimming through the RUclips channel in the first place so i don't see a point in the 5min video
Because they've released content based on the auditions they've submitted for agencies, they are more than likely blacklisted. The agencies are looking for people who can keep their NDA and not talk about things that they shouldn't, starting with the content of the auditions they've submitted.
So uhhh having personally known and seen successful nijisanji auditions, I will say there was no way you were going to get in. Unfortunately the truth of the matter is that most of these auditions are not meritocracies and even if they were a lot of the successful videos are much higher quality.
tho paying for iopoths or i anye thing is not and has nevery ben a realy gaert ied one wood do beter to got a andoidopoth or a 2 in 1 cormbook that can be a batell lapot and has portsis for things to up gaerd its menory and data keeping tho its good to hav a mmicor sdcardlot the ones ive seeing hav 2 usb tepc lots 2 usb portlots a hadopotohjakport and a lot for a coricsdcard and ther offend cormbooks to not macbooks even tho ther are thos how stell like to usis them even if ther not that good hav a nices day
