If that’s what she was like as a Padawan she’d have been terrifying as a Knight or Master to say nothing of her compassion, so that loss hurts.
The fight choreography in this episode was amazing. Probably the best lightsaber fights since Sidious VS Maul and Savage in Clone Wars Season 5. The first four episodes were rough but Lucasfilm cooked with this one, worth it imo
What I don’t understand is, she was holding her own really well and then after she knocked off his mask she just charged wildly screaming, she completely lost her composure, that seems out of character in that moment. Have to wonder if this guy self taught or did perhaps someone even more powerful teach him? Side note I hope this will finally shut up the people saying anybody can survive being stabbed by a lightsaber these days.
I would like to propose the consideration that, even though the intention of the scene on the part of the creative team was to show Qimir using trakata with his shoto blade to kill Jecki, what the scene shows us, visually speaking, is not that, but the sith quickly thrust into her with a reverse grip. Now I know, pointing out such a tiny discrepancy like this may seem like a huge waste of effort and brain power, but we're Star Wars fans, so you understand the feeling. I recommend that after each observation, you watch the video again in slow motion to confirm my statements. First, let's notice that Qimir's left arm, which holds the blade used in the attack, makes very abrupt movements with each stab of the lightsaber. It is a movement that indicates traditional handling of the blade, where he retracts and pushes his arm quickly, because if we consider that he simply deactivated and reactivated the blade, he would merely need to reposition his fist with each thrust, which does not appear to have happened. Additionally, notice the way the sith positions each of his sabers. the longest in a horizontal block, protecting him from Jecki's attack while the second carries out the blow. Note that this positioning causes the light from the long saber to fall on the padawan's face and shoulders, while that of the shoto illuminates their torsos and the sleeves of her robe. The red light on her and Qimir's torso is never dimmed. The saber is not turned off. And finally, let's pay attention to the scene beats that make up this final part of the duel. There is the moment when Qimir steps back, detaches the shoto blade from his main saber and activates its blade (we can not only see the saber emission, but also hear its traditional activation sound). Jacki charges forward, screaming and preparing her blow. Qimir blocks her strike and immediately (note that there is no sound of deactivation) he stabs her 3 times. Sol screams. We move to a closeup of Jacki in her last moments of life. And then we see (and HEAR) HER saber deactivate. She falls, revealing the blade that went through her torso, still attached. These three observations indicate that what we are shown on screen is not a demonstration of the use of Trakata, but rather an intelligent and strategic use of a shoto saber, which with 3 quick thrusts killed a prodigious padawan learner. I know that the official Star Wars website ATTESTS that Qimir used Trakata in his fight against the Jedi. However, this is not what we can observe objectively in this scene. Perhaps the light is a result of using a practice saber during recording. Perhaps the light was not removed from the plate when it should have accompanied the supposed deactivation and reactivation of the saber. Perhaps the extended movement of Qimir's arm is the result of the actor's involuntary action, who was not aware of the details of how the scene would take place. Anyway, this is what I have to point out. Thanks for listening.
All excellent points. First, however, would be true whether or not he deactivated the shoto blade as the points are different locations. The second point could be a continuity error on the part of the lighting team (a possibility, as you've mentioned). This possibility is supported by the sound of deactivation and reactivation of the shoto blade. I know your third point covers this, however, it can be heard. There is the initial activation, which primes the viewer to it's sound. Then the first jab. This is quickly followed by deactivation, movement, reactivation and immediate deactivation, again followed by movement and reactivation. The reason it may not be readily heard is because it sounds distorted and eerie. One could take it as part of the background music, however, it is there.
While I did enjoy a lot of the choreography involving Jacki I hated how for some reason the padowan lasted longer against to people then Jedi masters and knights did against them

If only it didn’t take half the series to get one good fight scene.
I said No.
She almost fights like Ashoka, would’ve been cool to see the 2 meet even tho it doesn’t fit the timeline at all
He's definitely going to the bad place
Jecki / X23 was the only character i liked in this series ( even though i've barely watched the last 3 episodes
I don't understand how her lightsaber shut off, unless she had the courtesy to turn it off before she died?
lightsabers need to have their switch held to stay on
Lightsabers have literally turn off every time a Jedi has died in the saga.
While I did enjoy a lot of the choreography involving Jacki I hated how for some reason the padowan lasted longer against to people then Jedi masters and knights did against them
She was too ambitious w her style. Too aggresive
My friends, you are just barely scratching the surface of all the hidden things here. You’ll be discovering things till the day you pass away. This mere scene alone is going to change world history. People will find they have severely underestimated The Acolyte.
Alright, I’m kidding. I just wanted to outshine everyone for a moment
I was really looking forward to see more of her, since her fight scenes are actually good unlike the other. and then they killed her...
Nah he's got the reverse grip movements going. Slow it down.
Tràkata
She was the only character I liked in the series.
