Mr. Rana Nadeem trying his english skills is so cute. I feel like as much as we love these men, they love us too, and try to show us that they care we have some quality videos. I also enjoy the different shooting angles, they let us appreciate more their honest faces :)
Please try chili...or chili beans.....or soul food
That was awesome!
My mom made a mean Stew broiling a roast all day then adding the vegetables carrots,Celery, potatoes and making the gravy from the drippings and adding arrowroot. After all day cooking it we have it for Dinner.
187.....yikes
I was about to point out the EXACT SAME points!
Mr Rana is amazingly funny! U can tell he is a natural joker!! Such a light hearted demeanor!
"If Americans really cook these kind of food at home
Then trust me you guys are really fortunate!"
They really know how to drive the point home. Love these guys.
If a person is like a potato, they will get adjusted with the other vegetables surrounding them. That's why I love Tahir. Sometimes he makes more sense than I think most people recognize. He's so positive, which is what the world needs.
Yes, exactly.
Yes! Mr.Tahir! ALWAYS the voice of sensibility and logic! 🥰
yes tahir said it perfectly
He is a wise man.
Potatoes and vegetables are good for you.
7:10 It breaks my heart that these men, and probably a lot of people around the world, don't know that we are eating the same food. I am American, of Irish decent, and I've been eating Pakistani and Indian food for over 30 years now. I know it's a matter of logistics, but I wish it were different. May the future bring peace and be a melting pot for us all.
With All it’s evils, & spying, wee peons of the world are connecting Every day with each other,& learning we Are the same Everywhere!!!🙏
True the basic foods worldwide are rice beans potato
Oh, Dr. Tahir.. I wish more people here understood our fortune as well. ✌🏻
Rana speaking random English words before each spoon was hilarious 🤣
But that's how you do it, though!
You fumble with words, you get stuff wrong, you mismanage sentence structure, you say things that make no *sense.*
That's just *how* you learn a different language.
I never mock someone who speaks English as a second language. It's a tricky language, and a lot of it only comes naturally if you're born and raised with it.
The fact that these guys are occasionally *TRYING* to speak English, sometimes seriously, sometimes self-deprecatingly, sometimes with mischief.... That's wonderful to me.
These guys are really cute. This video series was a really good idea.
It was really cute, I loved it
@@GoodAvatar Also they weren't random words! I think he was making a vocabulary substitution of give instead of take or something like that, but it made sense.
@@waterwatereverywhere Yes, he was trying to tell what he was about to do i.e. put the potato or carrot or a piece of beef in his mouth which is why he did it before he put it in his mouth.
"Nom, nom, nom" 😁
It should have had more broth (liquid) with it...and they are so right any stew needs good bread too!
Correct! They were not really served Beef Stew as it is served in the US. A stew is a thicker "soup" with more hearty ingredients (bigger pieces). And it is served with a bread product, for accompanying the meal and dipping in the liquid. That is why some of their comments about it are spot on..... because what they were not serves was not how it is really served. If I was invited to someone's home here in the US and they said they were having Beef Stew, and was served THIS.... no. That is not Beef Stew. ;)
I've always had cornbread with beef stew
@@thewhiskeycowboy-official I hate the stew debate! From Ohio I come from both the thick and thin debates! I will say cornbread is a must! No cornbread you lose simple
@@deadhomer8468 yes!
In my experience, it's only brothy on the day you cook it. I mean, it's always good . I'm not going to send it back for being too thick. We are spoiled people in the US.
As an American. This, with Roti and with Yogurt would be wonderful.
and rice!!!
I agree
My family would typically beef eat stew ladled onto rice with bread-and-butter (a pretty close match with roti and yogurt, I believe) on the side, and it was always fantastic!
We'd also eat beef stew mixed with wide egg noodles, also with buttered bread on the side, also fantastic.
I'm not sure I can think of any time we ever ate beef stew by itself as a family - I have done it with canned beef stew while living alone, but that was a quick-and-easy-and-lazy kind of thing to fill up on when I was too tired from working to cook.
My family when I was growing up usually just heated up the canned beef stew, and only cooked the rice and sometimes home-baked bread (but more often store-bought, pre-sliced white bread), in fact, but these days, I make my own beef stew in a slow-cooker crock-pot: it's so easy, anyone can do it! (Toss a raw slabof roast beef into the crockpot on a bed of carrots, toss in some potatoes, chunks of onions, celery, and garlic cloves, pour a can of beer onto everything, add some salt and pepper and other spices, then slow-cook it overnight. You can thicken the broth with some flour if you want, but whatever - the result is great on noodles or rice, and with fresh-baked bread and butter - or, ladle it into a bread bowl, or onto mashed potatoes....
yes, some put sourcreme too.. you can also put dumplings in the soup
@Siobhan Fogarty me too! Sounds genius to me…❤️
Simple, rustic, hearty food. Something that can be enjoyed by anyone!
Comfort Food
My family called this kind of food “food that sticks to your ribs”. It’s filling and hearty.
Years ago after I bought groceries, I was looking at my receipt, and there was “rib lifters.”’ After a process of elimination, I discovered it was my stew meat. Never heard them called that. I thought it was so funny.
Oh absolutely ^_^ great way to warm up during the cold fall and winter nights.
@@TexasRose50 That's great lol.
Food that really "shmecks."
As my grandfather used to say, there's nothing like food when you're hungry.
"A person should be like a potato."
"It gets adjusted with every other vegetable."
"If a person is like potato, he will be successful."
Myself, being of Irish descent: "Finally! Someone agrees with us!!" *nods furiously in agreement*
I’m here in Ireland with a pot of the good stuff to eat, it’s better the next day or even after two days
I am Indian......... nodding furiously in agreement too....
I'm a potato
The next time I get comments for sitting on a couch, I'll tell them exactly this!😅
To be fair, potatoes are pretty awesome
I love these men! Their reactions are perfect. I'm a chef, and I'd love to cook for them!
Me too James! I I'm a chef also..it would be great to together and cook for them
“Vegetables are a gift from God”. Very true. 🙂

Doordash is always busy in killeen, Texas
Everyone should be like a potato a potato compliments all of the other vegetables, if everyone were like potatoes they're wouldn't be any complaints or fights,
That was a million dollars worth of wisdom he gave us for free.
Rana Nadeem practicing English words and phrases before every bite was so sweet. Then in went the bite and out came "Nam, nam, nam, nam" as he got the full flavor. Loved it!
Beef stew with buttered bread. It is a perfect winter meal. Also potato soup with chopped bacon
Potato soups would be great, my mother always made it with ham or sliced hot dogs. Clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl would be great as well or just with the small oyster crackers. =)
I'll agree with beef stew with buttered bread on a winter night. Don't like potato soup.
Now you are talking!!!
Yum
Yummy!!! I just ate not too long ago all of this talk of stew is making me hungry lmfao.
Omg omg omg!! Yes!! On the potato soup with bacon!! Hell yeah💖😁
The relief of having a wholesome dish to try inspired Mr. Rana to speak in excellent English 💗 and Dr. Tahir to request additional menu suggestions! I hope they get to try more delicious, wholesome food from around the world!
Yes, I was so proud of Mr. Rana!! They are learning so much so quickly.
God bless our tribal people!
I love that they relate it to their own dishes and that stew could be wonderful served with roti. Bread with stew is universal.
My grandmother was from germany and she could do some magic with a peice of meat, root veggies and cabbage. This is the type of food i grew up on im glad they liked it!
Perfect winter food, so many tasty varieties too. Beef stew ... or more realistic ... "whatever you've got" in a pot. $0.02
Leftover stew
My dad used to call soup made with some stewing beef and many different vegetables "refrigerator soup." He would come to the table, take a look at his bowl of soup and say, "Oh, I see you cleaned all the leftovers out of the refrigerator today!" even when there were no leftovers (or only a few) in the pot.
LOL - my family did much the same thing growing up - if there were a bunch of leftover vegetables, mom would just gather mix all together, add a little browned ground beef, and then cook some noodles to top it with, and call it "goulash". You can't fool me, mom - it's "leftover stew!" :D In the 1970s economy, when a lot of cupboards were bare, that sort of make-do-with-whatever-is-around thing was a life-saver.
That "goulash" wasn't very good food, but it was edible and I don't remember complaining (unlike some of the other experiments my mother tried.)
To this day, I keep several big cans of "Veg-All" mixed vegetables (potatoes, carrots, corn, celery, onions, that sort of thing) in my cabinet for much the same purpose: I don't normally have any leftover vegetables sitting around, but whenever I feel like getting creative with leftovers, a can of Veg-All and some rice or pasta are fantastic stuff to use for turning almost any leftover or canned meat into a stew, soup, or casserole - just add gravy or cream-of-cheese soup (for example) for a sauce!
I think I'll break out the crock pot and put on a beef stew for tonight. I have been inspired!
My thoughts exactly!
Ahhhhhhh the crock pot. I made rice pudding in mine a couple days ago. Real comfort food, effortlessly made Ahhhhhhh....😄
We just finished off a crock pot roast with veggies and mushrooms. It really does just hit the spot sometimes.
honestly the "try it with roti with yogurt and salad on the side" sounds absolutely amazing and i wish i could tell him thankyou for the idea
I'm sure they would love a nice, Southern Potroast with vegetables. We eat it with either buttered rolls or cornbread.
Why you gotta make me hungry now? I got to go offline now. How am I supposed to concentrate thinking about buttered rolls and pot roast?????? Thanks alot!
honey butter rolls 😋
Cornbread every time !
They loved it of course! You guys need to feed them more home-cooked food like that. One of them made the comment that he was glad to see Americans eat vegetables. LOL I guess they’re so used to trying pizza and candy they think that’s all we eat.
Yeah I think Gul Shere Khan in particular got really tired of candy/sweets. He keeps saying they're for children and not adults lol
@@beastvader I would like to see them serve a southern meal… For example fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, collards, cornbread salad etc.
I think they've had chili before. I would like to see them try more regional foods. I especially would like to see their opinion of chicken fried steak and biscuits
@@truthiseverything7301 check the channel, I know they've tried KFC. Maybe they've done home made fried chicken too

These men are a joy to see... "down-to-earth" is all I can say. My grandfather was such a man, and appreciated everything he was blessed to have. People that grow up wealthy are spoiled from the start.
May your grandfather rest in peace
Tahir possesses a loving heart, you can tell by his philosophical comments. All of these men would make wonderful friends and neighbors.
It's been a blizzard today, and I made a large pot of beef stew from a Christmas roast. Left over potato rolls. Hits the spot. They should try beans, with salted meat, and corn bread.
I'd love that, Reta; but no salt, please
Beef stew is a popular dish in the Midwest. Very hearty and great to keep warm on a cold day. Blessings to you all from Kansas USA. 🌻

Indiana agrees.
Gowan lads! This is how we do it! lots of gravy and rolls with yer stew! carrots, celery.potatoes,parsnips. onions.ribs.bacon or just beef, and..... Beer!! get yerself a spicebag!
I feel like these Tribal men would love to try some Caribbean food. Hearing him refer to Roti really shows how all cultural foods has its specific origins. Oouuu or African Foods 🤤
I would to make a suggestion: how about grilled (with butter) cheddar cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. But instead of giving them spoons, have them dunk the sandwiches in the soup. Sooo delicious!
Now I'm hungry!
You got it all wrong!!!! It's not about dunking bread.... it's about using ROTI as a SPOON to pick up the food you are eating. I'm Mexican and that's how we use our tortillas too. I'm sending you a video of a girl making a familiar dish but at the very end of the video, she eats some using her tortilla to pick up the food.... not a spoon. Watch carefully what she is doing. She's NOT dunking the tortilla, she's EATING with it. ruclips.net/video/5bV_dqCGGBk/видео.html
and chicken noodle soup with tuna sandwich,
Mmmm one of my favorite meals ever...with a ton of pepper in the soup 🤤
Suggestion: Get them to try Shepherds Pie. I think they'll love it.
I believe they've already tried it.
I can also hear Tahir saying how good it will be for those with no teeth. Lol
I just said the same thing.
Yes!
It looks delicious. Whoever cooked it knows what they are doing! Even the plates are nice
The German Word for Stew is "Eintopf", which literally means "One-Pot". 🥘
The meaning of STEW is an assortment of FOOD ITEMS ..... like the various vegetables and spices. And also to be cooked in ONE POT.
Hmmm, the only issue I have with these food reaction vids is that I watch them at early in the morning and then crave all these stews, chicken and treats for breakfast. I very much like learning the customs and mannerisms of the culture!
Always fun and brings sincere joy.
you can eat any food at any time.
When we have stew, we always have bread with it, like a French bread or baguette ... I would like to try it now with the roti 😊
Me as well!
I have eaten Irish Stew with a Tortilla wrap before which are similar to their Roti and it was tasty.
You have to have mashed potato or rice or something lol
And one of them suggested eating rice with it. I'd love to try that also. 😊
My mum is Lebanese, and she makes excellent Indian Roti ( she's a great cook) and it is delicious with everything. Forget your French bread and every other kind of bread. Roti is the king of all breads in my opinion.
"If a person is like a potato, there will be no fights no argument!" 😂😂😂 I love their reaction
This is comfort food here in America - love the Beef Stew!! Happy you men liked it.
Oh boy!! Beef stew is one of my favorite comfort foods. It sounds delicious right now!!
Yeah they got me wanting beef stew
What is comfort food? That term makes no sense.
@@rascal211 Basically any food that brings you a sense of comfort and happiness :) It also refers to a good homecooked meal. Food can bring you joy :) see the Disney/Pixar movie "Ratatoullie" to get a better idea. I think it does a good job.
Rana was funny in this video! Greetings to him and his family, please.
This is making me remember my mom's homemade beef stew. She served it with buttered crusty french bread on the side. Man! That was good!
It is impossible to NOT like these men!! They are awesome humans!! Thank you for bringing us these videos!
Life goals: Be like a potato. Thank you Dr Tahir!! ❤️❤️❤️
That's what I'm saying! From here on out, I embrace my inner potato!
Words of the wise, for sure. Just don't be like our Little Potato up here in Canada, Justine Retardeau. The Chinese were slagging him, calling him Little Potato. Chrystia Freeloader (Freeland really, how ironic, as she's a fascist/commie), is so daft, she thought it was cute, and a compliment. In her dizzy little brain, they called him Little Potatoe, because he's the son of former PM, Pierre Elliot Trudeau. Uggghhh. I'm no fan of Pierre Elliott, but the man was at least highly intelligent, as our politicians used to most often be.
Ahh.. Beef Stew.. takes me back to rainy days as a kid, and my dad working away making his stew. Getting a bowl for lunch was like getting a warm hug that made the day better.
so hearty and loved it during winter. yum
Watching these people really makes me more grateful for what I have, even being a poverty class American I have so much more ease of access to things totally alien to them, I'm recognizing my blessings even in my own hardship. Bless these wonderful people
I love watching them. They make me appreciate the little things.
I make a beefstew once every 14 days or so with rumpsteak that gets to simmer for like
5 hours and the meat is so tender it just melts. 5-6 portions go into the freezer for the
lazy days and just heat em in the micro =) .
Oh okay fine you can stop begging me now, I’ll be there in two weeks! Sounds so amazing and delicious though.
Poor Bobby, I want to come too.
Yessir, I make 10+ portions of any meat I cook & store it in the chest freezer for whatever I want to make. I do this with a bag or two of onions also: Dice & slowly cook them over an hour until they're caramelized, then freeze them in ice cube trays & toss them in a freezer bag. Whenever I want to make something, I already have the protein & other items ready.
I do that with what I call "thick soup," which is soup with either chicken or beef cut in chunks and a *lot* of vegetables-sliced carrots, sliced celery, diced onion, a couple of cloves of garlic, then add diced potatoes, and then green beans, sweet corn, and at the very end I chop some fresh spinach and toss that in for a few minutes. I make a big soup/stew pot of this, then put it in smaller containers and put them into the freezer for the future. I vary what herbs and spices I put in from pot to pot for the sake of variety.
try making it with Ox tail
"if a person was like a potato".. I will never forget that brilliant nugget of philosophy

Rana's English really coming along.
Give him couple of months, and this channel will be "learning English with tribal people" ha ha
I'm Cuban, one idea, we eat that with rice, that will be a substitute for the roti they use to eat it.
Wow mister Rana said it for me, " with rice it will taste a lot better".
. typical....they can eat how ever they want, this isnt about YOU or what you eat.
I was thinking that too. Rice is a great base for beef stew.
I agree. We (in Florida) ate the stew over rice. Being Cuban, of course you want rice !!!yum I love Cuban and Spanish food, grew up with it and cook a little. Yellow rice and chicken is my favorite and Spanish stew is so good, with a tomato adding more flavor and juice. YUM
We'd eat beef stew with rice and buttered bread in Kentucky, USA - I just figured it was a Scots-Irish hillbilly thing, I'm a bit surprised to find that there's something similar in Cuba and that the tribal people in, I believe Pakistan(?), think of exaactly the same thing! I guess it's one of those foods that translates well all around the world!
the latin version of roti is a rortilla, made pretty much the same way
I have a home-cooked meal recommendation for Dr. Tahir Nawab: southern-style chicken and dumplings. The base is like chicken soup, but the small flour dumplings thicken it up a bit. The dumpling dough is like American biscuits, rolled out and cut into 1-inch squares, then added to the chicken and stock to cook for about 20 minutes. It's a basic recipe but very filling like beef stew.
They should try real dumplings first...not those little glorified noodles
I was thinking chicken and dumplings as well
Dumplings are a good idea/ We simmered a large onion, choped, in the chicken broth before adding the dumplings. I like the pillowy spoon drop dumplings, but I will not turn away the rolled square ones. :)
Amazing that we Americans take things for granted while others feel fortunate and appreciative for something so simple. Love these guys
With Their Culture Enjoying Spices So Much,, I Would Suggest You Have Them Try Beef Chili,, Served With Tortilla Chips For Dipping..I Think They Would ABSOLUTELY LOVE It. ❤🙏
That would also fit with their need to have Roti with everything.

Beef stew and venison stew with buttered corn bread are a hearty wintertime favorite. So glad you enjoyed another of our comfort foods.
I really like these tribal people. I think it would be very nice to try their foods too!.I am glad they like beef stew, even if we should serve it with roti!
I would like to see them react to a video of one of the many international food markets in America. I think they would be surprised to see markets in America where food from all over the world is prepared and sold.
I have learned so much from these adorable, humble, reverent men! They are served American processed food, that while Americans love it- it is not the healthy choices we should make- or for many like me can afford to make. And, yet, they thank God for the food and make it holy. I am not a healthy woman. But none of the diets I have seen are affordable to me, I do not work and only get a small check every month. About a month ago, I said "let me thank God for the food I can afford like I hear these men do for every American meal they get to try!" So I did start to pray in thanks for the food and ask blessings that it will bring me health so I can serve God with that health. And I ask blessing for all of you and your families, and thank you for adjusting my thinking and helping me to be grateful, for whatever I have is a gift.
Yes! Learning to be grateful more often too. I often overdo it on my good days and have to remind myself that at least I have good days and the bad ones aren't forever! A loved one has Parkinson's, and I feel guilty complaining about my issues to her 😞.
It's actually very affordable to eat healthy if you pick the right things. It's the simplest ingredients sometimes. I can live for a week on a bag of kale, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, olives a few cans of sardines, salmon, and a crate of eggs. I usually have a nice big kale salad and just throw a lot of things on top of it and have a little soup or rice on the side. Apple cider vinegar and olive oil are regulars for me. I appreciate that you thank God and are grateful for every meal you receive, that's how it should be and that's why I love watching these men. They are very reverent towards God. If anything you can ask God to teach you how to eat. He started putting ideas and wisdom in my mind of how I could eat in healthy affordable ways.
God bless you and happy eating 🎉
In America it is sometimes preferred with bread since it usually has some gravy it's been cooked with.
I would totally eat stew with roti. thats such a great idea. here we eat it with sliced bread or buns/rolls. but roti or naan would be awesome too.
Beef stew is a dish that has been cooked in my family for generations. We usually serve cornbread along with the stew. A large pot of pinto beans, fried potatoes, sliced tomatoes and onions is another dish my father and grandfather always liked. Mr. Rana, I am very impressed with your English words! 🥰
I love his enthusiasm, although I still don't know what he meant by "I am give me carrot" haha
Beef stew is one of my favorite meals! I also throw in other vegetables with it. Green beans....sometimes corn. Great winter meal!
I love the way Rana was 'showing off' his English! He is doing very well with it!! 👏👏👏
I can never get over Gul Sher Khan Baloch's moustache. THAT is a 'stache to be proud of.
Beef stew is delicious. Eat it with rice or bread. Sometimes with the leftovers, my family will add a little yellow (S&B oriental brand) curry powder to give it a kick.
The potatoes have enough starch and carbs. It doesn't need bread or rice IMO - especially for Diabetics or people trying to lose weight.
I have some bread to dip in the sauce. Love it.
@@j.h.3777 true, nutrition wise you are absolutely correct... But honestly some people just do it anyway. 🤷🏻♀️

In the U.K. we put suet dumplings in our stews and/or serve with thick bread and butter 😋
Here in the U.S., we also serve bread and butter, French bread, dinner rolls or sourdough bread, about any bread with beef stew.. any stew.. we just like bread! Lol. Either regular or toasted and butter. I’m not sure what suet is but we have chicken and dumplings, more like a soup. I think any stew or soup is good comfort food, especially when it’s cold outside. 😁
Great video 👍🏼 I would love to see them try Mexican dishes! ☺️
I love it when Gul Sher Khan mentioned the vegetables! My Father used to make this for special occasions when I was young and he would talk endlessly about how the vitamins in the veg were released for easy absorption.
We Already Know That They Enjoy Chicken,, Rice,, Tomatoes,, Onions & Spices,, So I Think That They Would REALLY Enjoy Spanish Rice With Chicken ❤ 🙏

You could eat stew with roti if you want. That's totally fine. Usually you will find bread or buns along with stew, to soak up all the remaining goodness in the bowl. I like a little more broth in my stew.
I was wondering where the big loaf of fresh French Bread was, myself.
Beef stew would be kind of delicious with some roti and a salad.... I usually eat it with some bread and butter, or a dinner roll, or some other bread to soak up the juices. Excellent suggestion.
I totally understand the roti comments! When I eat stew I love using pieces of sliced loaf bread or tortilla to pick up and eat chunks of stew. Soaking up that gravy at the end is so satisfying

I always have stew over rice
How wholesome. I like these guys. They were very polite. I suspect the stew was extremely mild compared to what they usually eat. I met some nice folks from Punjab and ate dinner with them. You ever chase a flavor, hoping to find it again one day? that's how it was after they cooked for us. So amazing. It's difficult to find food as good as theirs. Their grandma made it. She must have been perfecting her cooking for 60 years...
Definitely it would of went excellent with bread, roti or naan bread.
Great video by the way and thanks for sharing with us.
Agree. They liked it by itself. With roti they would have LOVED it. Yum. Take care.
This is the best time of year to make beef stew, when the weather gets cold. I throw all the ingredients in my slow cooker, with beef stock and fresh herbs and seasonings and maybe a little red wine, and let it cook all day. The house smells wonderful by the time it's done. I'll usually serve it with bread (not roti, though that sounds great -- usually a toasted French baguette), or even on top of rice. Good hearty stews are universal.
I have been addicted to your videos for the past few days! I just can't get enough. Much love from Canada!
Why does beef stew look so much more appetizing when they're eating it?! When anyone mentions beef stew since I was a kid ive always been like..."Oh.....stew........cool.......".😂 I want the beef stew they got!!!!!!
Beef stew on a rainy day like today sounds good.....you should make them try pho it also is very good for a cold day.
Snowy day even better luis. ☺
These guys would lose themselves if they tried pho soup, most people try to move to Vietnam when they first taste good pho!
As a Seattleite where we have a pho place on every corner and constant rain, I couldn't agree more.
This dish is prepared all around the world. In Spain we call it "estofado de ternera" (a literal translation for beef stew). We usually eat it with a spoon and to the side bread (We never eat roti here) and salad. I wish I could upload a picture of the stew I have prepared today. I love your videos. I have been watching them since the creation of the channel. Keep going!! ❤️❤️
True, here in Brazil we call it "carne de panela".
Here in Peru it is estofado de carne. =)
In Pakistan it's called AALU (Potato) GOSHT (Meat).. Aalu Gosht
I think that pretty much every culture in the world has very similar dishes they prepare. The only difference is probably the different seasonings used from place to place. I cook something very similar to this quite regularly, but I vary the seasonings I put in the pot and usually use chicken instead of beef because the price of beef has gotten so high. I have used beef in the past, though.
Also very similar to the various regional variations on chili served across America, and something my family called "Hungarian goulash" in the USA (I'm not sure if it resembles anything found in Hungary! It was sort of a paprika-seasoned beef with tomatoes and peppers and onions, with mushrooms, mixed with noodles), and so on. Chicken-and-dumplings in the southern USA isn't very different, nor is gumbo or chowder.
Someone in another comment mentioned that they have something similar to beef stew in Cuba which they also serve on rice, and a couple of German commenters mentioned the German "eintopf" ("one-pot") as the same concept.
I think this must surely be a universal, international food, something most cultures across Europe, Asia, and the colonial Americas are familiar with in some form, localized for whatever spices, meats, and vegetables happen to be easily available!
I'm reminded of the sci-fi show 'Babylon-5' where there was sort of a running joke through the series about a food called "spoo" which was finally explained as one of that fictional universe's great mysteries: a food that every people in the galaxy, no matter what planet they were from, had developed a local version of, seemingly independently. My father had been making chili on rice for years by the time he saw the show, and dubbed that food "spoo" - when I tried curry on rice for the first time, that was the first thing I thought of!
I am absolutely in love with them all! What wonderful men! The innocence behind their words is so heartwarming!
I'd love to try some of the foods these guys grew up eating. From the way they talk about it, I think I'd love it.
Real lndian and Pakistani food is very different to the food you get in Restaurants in Europe..
@@amandadonegan2137 Or in America for that matter, lol
Rana Nadeem; literally describing the entire eating process
I love your channel! Seeing these men try different dishes from the USA and snacks from other countries just brightens up my day. I love how they each have their way of expressing their likes and dislikes of the food. They are never rude, and they are so grateful! I truly enjoy watching your videos. I do not know their names but I already have my favorites and they are in no order. I like them all for how different they are. The one you say gets into Dr mode is such a delight. I love how he takes time to share knowledge he has on foods and the benefits they offer. I also truly enjoy watching the man that wears a lot of rings with the big mustache :) The man that wears the hat is really funny! I loved watching him speak the few words he know in english. He did a great job! Lastly but definitely not least, the older gentleman that loves sweets! He really savors his food and when it is sweet you can see how his eyes brighten up as he delights in the flavors and sweetness of the bite he just took. God bless your channel and every single one of these brave souls that are willing to try new dishes from the USA. :)
It's kind of sobering to see a person from a foreign country truly appreciate something that we as a society take for granted.
I love this. It is proof that no matter where you are from, there will always be a relatable dish in other ethnic cuisines.
My Mom would make the best beef stew with all the fresh vegetables from our garden. My favorite dish that she made.
Every mom make best food for their kids... Moms are blessing ❤️
I would give anything to hear them speak on life, in general, they still seem to truly enjoy simple things in life.
I love watching these videos! Their beautiful reactions to something new is so wholesome and genuine!
Awesome to see other cultures appreciate each other food.
In England we have beef stew and dumplings, also made with carrot and potato. I had it only yesterday.
Please say well done to Rana on his English - he's doing really well. 👍😉👍
