I adore Hunk, wait, I'll rephrase that. I like the Fans Toys version of Brawn very much. So much that I'm happy to have a figure similar to that one, plus it comes with a cool fusion cannon for Hunk. The cartoon wasn't on here that much when I was a kid, we only got the first series on free TV, so the G1 toys were the main appeal of Transformers for me. For some reason, the four coloured squares on the chest and the cool blue visor stuck in my memory from back then. Somebody brought it in on the last day of term and I played with it lots, so it's quite a nostalgic figure to me. I brought in my full Megatron in gun mode. Ah, so much fun pointing it at police cars, knowing I wouldn't be killed.
This comment made me laugh a couple of times but this was a nice story too. It’s always nice to hear specific origin stories for love of even the more obscure characters.
Great review Paik. I passed on this particular figure, but I'm getting the Iron Factory legends scale version of Outback. More importantly, I not only have a craving for onion rings, but now I need to get a blooming onion.
Outback was one of only three mini bots I had as a kid so this is nostalgic for me. Agreed not the most interesting character, and if I didn’t have a connection with the toy I would not be getting this guy. As always though a sculpt toon to T, and great paint as always from FT. Articulation is really lacking though more so than Hunk which is a shame. If they continue to release figures like this they really need to focus more on articulation. I’m glad to get the Megatron gun to perch on Hunks shoulder.
Okay, you're one out of 50 people who have a legitimate reason to care for this guy even a little. But I also agree this guy is disappointing in the articulation department, but I've come not to expect much from FT there since the Aerialbots LOL
If you have the figures, and it isn't too much work to access them obviously, would you be willing to take and share a group shot of Season 3 minibots? Aussie with XTB Tailgate, BC Swerve, and BC Pipes? Maybe include BC Outback as well if you do it since you have him. 39:28 and 39:30 you can clearly see Aussie leave the mark on your set when he landed. I appreciate that FT put the Mysterian M on both the hood of his truck mode and on the back of his head cave box. They probably could have gotten away with just the hood one.
Sorry I missed this stream Henry! Just picked up my copy from Eddie today. He's......well he's a check in the box I guess. Kinda a meh figure and character. articulation is about as expected. No one cares that they screwed up both the bio on the back of the box, or the OUTRIDER sitting on the book. He'll sit somewhere in my collection. i
Haha, yeah I didn't notice the text botches either. I just was happy that they had Aussie bio. Maybe they were just THAT eager for you to know about him that they had to repeat it.

I am happy I was able to purchase him from Eddie and company and he does look good...as you said on par with the mold and usual FT quality. So don't take "Check in the box" as a bad thing...more one one more off the list for the collection...don't want any more undue hate because I didn't glow about him ;) Keep up the Chatterdays!
