The fight itself is fine. It's the birds that I hate. I'll spend some time to specifically target the birds and then he just flies into the air again and ALL OF THEM SPAWN BACK. After knowing about the trick by the ledge I beat him first try. I swear it was near impossible with all of the birds chasing me
I found the longbow really helpfull in this fight for damage at long range. I'm surprised they didn't add a spell for 1.0 that allows you to cast a shadow/dark cloud overhead to help with fights like this in the sun.
this boss is by far the easiest of all shard bearer, not much changed from its version before and its arena are more forgiveable than adam or solarus, and the mob not as tanky as solarus. i manage to steal the shard here right after styx lmao
Man, he's the easiest shard boss and still I died like 50 times. Finally beated him with full ice mage build, ice dash lance and shield. Most damage probably came from blocking his projectiles with shield. Ice lance has huge range, very conviniet to deal with crows especially when you get cd reset from scholar blood.
How do you get up there with the soul shard equipped? The only way I can get up there is by flying with the bat form and to do so, I have to drop de shard
@@terribletimmy2 you’ve inspired me to do my own little walkthrough of this fight. My way is slightly different in that I don’t use shields, even tho I know they’re so good, it’s not my playstyle. Usually I just run the fight to music but talking it thru as you do it helps people so much more.
Hey, it is possible to build a castle that is only accessible using stairs or a second floor bridge, then delete that bridge every time you go out and replace it when you return? then it would be impossible to siege, or would it?
So you can't do this and make it unraidable, but if you wanted to make a cool castle with this concept, you could. You just won't be able to block your castle with stairs if that makes sense
Top left corner of Silverlight Hills to the left of the Silver mine, there's a plot with a ton of space. It has two stairs leading up to a higher level, I just built up there closed the farther stairs up inside and built foundation over the ground level. It's not unraidable, but you can definitely have a bit more space.

Excellent guide man. I really liked how you gave a play-by-play during the encounter. That was the best part imo
Thanks glad it could help!
Nice video I liked the way you were narrating while showing how to do it
Glad you liked it

Yeah, standing by the ledge to group the ignite etc makes this much more manageable
i used the bow. pistol is great for the annoying birds. the boss really is the birds. hardest part!

It's probably why they kept him the easiest shardbearer, the biggest threat is that you're on a timer.

Yep I agree. I think a lot of new players may not understand just how low of a level you can be when fighting him
Amazing Guide after Watching this beat him First try on Brutal, the birds are so annoying. lol
Yeah the birds are the bane of my existence too!

You aren't able to get up with soul shard equipped. You would want to drop it in base or put it on your shard pedestal
LOL I forget about that frost move every damn time too
It comes out so fast I never even think about it until he's using it lol

How do you repair his Soul Shard? Said that you need to drink Primal Blood Souls. Who has that?
Tier 2 incursion event bosses
Good to know
BRO you make it so easy! T_T / best!!
This was easy, but solarus... It's just too much chaos, and the angel hits like a truck
Solarus coming today!
You can strafe his charge btw
True, but then what would I use my dash for? 🤔
@@terribletimmy2 The fucking crows
LOL fair
👍
you can actually space yourself to not get hit by the dash projectiles, without having to spend a dash
