- Dark and Darker just released a new class into the dungeons, the Druid, on their testing server. This class combines spirit magic and shapeshifting to blend together a strong offensive and defensive playstyle. Since this class is so new, Ironmace will likely be changing many perks, skills, and spells before it is released to the main servers.

Yeah so many good ones for them. Just having a Druid with a Warlock in duos or trios is gonna be an insane combo.

@@ayz4299 None. None of those actually synergize with his kit to a degree where you'd take them over current options. The only one that technically fits into the kit is the regen over time one, but warlock already heals a ton and 1 HP every 3 seconds isn't enough to shake up the meta perk options. For other classes though I could see it being a nice QOL for slow dungeon sustain. That or Shadow Touch
If it scales that could be a big heal every 3 second with advanced healer and a lot of magic heal +20% from perk too@@koreyardoin3695

multiclassing had broken any semblance of balance the game had. everyone is running the same 4 abilities and one of like 3 sets of perks regardless of class. absolutely dumb addition because if you arent abusing it you get 2 shot by basically anyone.
@@dakotaheeren7468 They nerfed most of the meta perks/skills due to them being used too frequently so the entire meta changed overnight. Also if you kept up with the game at all you'd know they're purposely trying to break the game so they can gain data for future use.

The rat is ridiculously small. You can't go under doors right now, but you can go through grates like all the prison doors in the crypts. There are also holes in the walls that you can fit through, for better or worse.
Rush is an attack on the panther. We tested it out awhile ago. I couldnt really get it to hit much. If you look in third person the panther does a lunging bite.
Also the rat form is probably the most OP. When you are in rat form with natures touch, you only have to spend a few seconds in rat form to be completely healed even from 1 health due to the health conversion from human to rat to human.

@@motahark2412subclassing is the answer imo. I also enjoy multiclassing but am starting to get tired of it. Subclassing would give us more customization without all the craziness of broken multiclass builds

What are they thinking... I miss the sword, shield, axe in a dark dungeon element of dark and darker. With the occasional wizard, the games physical fights felt so genuine and intense. They need to focus more on the simple things.

3:05 seems like it affects ALL targets though, not just your team.
It’s hard to get excited about new classes with Multiclassing still in the game. I don’t want to see this cool class cannibalized by sweaty multiclassers.
There's nothing sweaty about multiclassing. It takes 2 hours a day playing for a week to get max lvl for learning tokens to multiclass. That's literally the opposite of sweaty.
And times that by 2-3 classes.....no thanks

I already knew itd be rough from what they said but man is it kinda just useless. Other than getting some speed to run away lol.
Really hoping they give bear and panther some actual offensive capability or maybe add some perks that give you damage/action speed or something while in an animal form.
Or perhaps bonuses to specific forms. who knows.
I just hope when its done cooking its actually viable to use shapeshifting offensively.

I NEED the multiclass ability to pickpocket during rat form.
An interesting nerf for mending grove might not be to nerf the healing, but make it bigger (as it just say targets, which suggests it would work on enemies too)

Haven’t played for a couple weeks, knew they would butcher the Druid, just like the butchered all the recent updates with multi passing
@@benjiwby Nothing about the Druid is butchered... What's shown is from the testing server so it's not done yet. Also the multiclassing system has allowed the game to gain more players and the last few updates regarding multiclassing has been really positive.
Right now a few things just don't function an example is the fact that all shapeshifting forms damage are as if you punched your foe (like 11 damage)

Animal transformations seem op for running but damn is it funny running as a chicken

Im about to see a druid only meta and im gonna have fun with it shapeshifting animals looks like it will make for the funniest encounters
I think they need to not tune stuff down but buff the classes to make the game cool again
my biggest concern is that the hitbox manipulation is on another complete level with something as small as the rat. It all does look fun though

also i agree with others in here where multiclassing has just ruined any idea of balance or class identity, if the perks other classes got were LESS potent, or we wern't allowed the entire roster of perks for obvious code/balance reasons (think the Helminth system in warframe), things would be fine.

Might be just me but imo i like druid being a more mainline healer, i play cleric and i feel pretty strong healing or attackin and can swap pretty seamlessly in combat, if druid is going to be squishy and cant heal in animal forms i feel it should heal more. Thats just my opinion tho

Dnd be like: Sorry it took so long for us to design druid, it took us a while to get a druid to max level in world of warcraft.
If they never added multiclass and just added Druid their game population would be doubled right now. So many friends have been waiting for Druid, but they literally all stopped playing when multiclass hit and now no ones excited for Druid cause irontits jacked their game up
Ironically the playerbase tripled with the release of multiclassing. Everyone is still excited for Druid because of how versatile and unique it is.

@@anomalyevolution40 it probably won’t since they constantly walk back updates. Although they are pretty dumb and did the +2 all thing that failed the first time or two and tried it again. It’s like they don’t learn from mistakes at all. Gears score it the biggest problem for sure. But this multiclass was a slap in the face to the OG fan base.
@@TheKickingPanda The OG fan base loves the multiclass system. I've been playing since day 1 and all of my friends have been and multiclassing is the best content we've had in months. It literally tripled the playerbase the day it came out and still has retained a majority of the players. The + All was dumb but they already admitted everything they're doing right now is suppose to break the game.

i saw someone playing as the rat earlier and he was healing, is this a bug or a cheat?
It's a bug, you're supposed to take 95% less healing, but if you take "natural healing" perk you heal up super fast anyway.

How does multiclass take away from Druid being released? You still have to play every class to be able to use them in multiclassing so this allows us to play a brand new class. If you're a multiclass hater then just say that.

Multiclass with shape-shifting seems broken
shapeshift with just the passive healing is broken. turn into a rat for 10 seconds and no one can catch you and you regen your full health in 12 seconds max as long as you dont get hit (you have 5 max hp and cant really increase it)

at least for recoverable health.
not the AOE but just a personal slow over time hp regen.
but yeah in regards to rat form and such, if thats how it functions, kinda good lol, though extremely dangerous cause rat form is 100% a oneshot from anything

Bear having a negative move speed debuff makes absolutely no sense. A bear can run 60+km/h irl (faster than any human) im not saying you should go that fast in game but moving slower than you would in human form is such a joke

This is a video game bro, being a massive tank with a ton of damage doesnt make sense to also do a ton of damage, otherwise you got another barb but better running around
