2003 Goldwing GL1800 my friend's father has one it's white and has every Bell whistle I rode it it was the most quietest bike I ever rode in the most comfortable thank you Ken great job filming Ronnie Kaplan Cycles number one God Bless America❤
A few things not mentioned. These generation Hondas were built in America in Ohio which is pretty cool. I love my 03. It's got 80,000 miles on it and purrs like a kitten. I also ride mine in Wisconsin from March till December. With the right gear you can ride pert near year round on these bikes. I also run 40-42 psi and get around 40+ mpg. The rear tire is really easy to take off and put on which is really handy if you change your own tires. I also run full synthetic and change my oil every 5000 miles. Oil changes are so simple on these bikes. Whoever purchases this bike will be one happy camper I know I am with mine. I bought mine last year and put over 10,000 miles on it.
@ I cropped mine off at the shop a couple weeks ago for heated storage for the winter and it was 39°. I was bummed out it’s only a 20 minute trip, I could’ve rode all day lol
Hell yes, i have a 2015 anniversary wing and i tell everyone not to be fooled by the its a old guy bike. And your video just proved my point exactly, gl1800s will strait get it!!
Honda gold wing = best motorcycle ever manufactured in the history of motorcycle manufacturing, it has the best handling the best engineering, if your looking for a bike that can go over 400,000 miles the gold wing is the way to go. I just picked me up 1986 Honda gold wing interstate. It only has 28,040 original miles. I bought it for a thousand bucks in excellent condition.
John, check your stator, that's a known weak point on the 1200s. Honda had a 4 year warranty on the stator, mine failed at 3 years 11 months. IIRC, the case needs to be split to replace the stator. Outside of that, anvil reliable.
Most gorgeous and fast Goldwing, that I have ever seen. Love that Orange Paintjob on it. The rear brake lights on the luggage bags in the rear, look like they came off of a Mercedes, particularly, the bottom one, regarding the angle of the lights. This bike would be neverending fun! I'd love to ride it across the USA. ML&R
I have a 2008. I sat in the passenger seat just to see how it felt. It is the Most comfortable seat i have ever sat in including a recliner. Obviously it is not reclined but Very comfortable.
Yes they are great bikes I love my black 06 and ur not wrong they will smoke any stock HD took mine to the Harley drags it left on the back wheel every time for about 60' and runs almost an 8 flat in the 1/8 mile yeah it was a blast for me not so much my buddies on there HD
I just bought a 2004 Goldwing w 42,000 miles for $5500.00 bucks, thing is like brand new, an old couple owned it. Bought it 2 wks ago in Crystal Lake, Illinois, If you google most recorded miles on a honda goldwing, it will tell you over a million miles on 2 different bikes without any mechanical engine maintenance .
Interesting, the 1800 engine was less sophisticated than the previous 1500 in the valve department, which unlike the 1800 has hydraulic self-adjusting tappets.
Some people can't understand why i have two goldwings 🤔 now i show them this video, I know guys get rid of their older goldwings and buy newer goldwing an realized down the road they should have kept a great bike when there wasn't anything wrong with it 🙄🙄 i couldn't do it...
I’ll admit it, it’d be a hell of a lot of fun to put the wife on the back and take that baby up to the White Mountains or out to the coast. Looks comfortable as all get out!
I’ve owned several of these. They are great touring bikes, but your HP numbers are nonsense. Realisted is about 100-105 at the rear wheel. Very flat torque curve. 40-45 MPG. You are overhyping when you say a quarter mile in 12 seconds and 140 top speed.
-------------------------- it may sound funny....big but ....H-D brass should swallow thier twin overrated pride ....politely ask Honda to build a in-line high output 4-banger around 1.8 - 2l. ....in this arena Honda has dominance ....when in doubt listen to a CBX .....H-D had good intentions hooking up w/Porsche....except we are building motorcycles not go-karts ....thx
@@rocketmcgrain7947 .....last new innovation at HD was 40y ago ....company needs something that will move bikes faster ....out of the showroom and also down the road. a inline 4 will do for HD what rear engine Corvette did for chevrolet ....spur sales , business 101
I will be buying a bike from Ken. He's good people. You have to love a guy who's looking to sell a bike, but is so true to who he is, proceeds to beat the sh*t out of it on camera as he's trying to sell it, LOL #KaplanAmericaRules

Honda: "The Goldwing is a sport tou-..."
Ken: "Sport you say?"
What a beast !!! Tkx !
Ken mentioned the CD player, but he also forgot about the CB and cruise control!
Viva El Patron Road Sofa
"The grinch's man unit grew three sizes that day..."
Had one just like it.
I need your mechanic to work on my bike cause my 01 Gold wing does not move like that.
Hi John here looking at a 2003 black goldwing exact same bike senior owned mint condition

Why do you wear a helmet on the goldwing but never on a harley?
